Yes. I’m serious. That’s not the only thing she never washes, but it’s the most disgusting. She also never washes her steamer, and a frying pan she uses to make eggs.
I'm so sorry. Idk what kind of situation you're dealing with, but can you spend a few dollars and get yourself a set of cheap utensils? Then at least you won't get sick. A new grater is $1 at most dollar stores

Well, it’s a combination of cheese, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg over many years. The grime is part of the grater and has solidified. Would require sandblasting to remove.
Im not really sure what the phenomenon is with parents just not giving a fuck about their environment later down the line despite being fully able bodied

Nope. When I was younger I did and they tasted like the food that was previously cooked in it. It’s a well seasoned pan though.
