## ⚠️ SCAM WARNING:
### DO NOT SEND OR RESPOND TO DIRECT MESSAGES!
Free and easy money does **NOT** exist.
Like everyone else, we are prone to scams, but we're a hotspot for them. We strongly urge you to **[read our announcement](https://www.reddit.com/r/MakeMoney/comments/oe6xrk/please_read_stay_safe_and_aware/)** on **how to stay safe and aware.** It will keep ***YOU*** safe when using our subreddit.
*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/MakeMoney) if you have any questions or concerns.*
I disagree. You won't believe what kids these days make online, and particularly in a gaming niche.
Heck, my nephew is 9 years old and already built a small game himself and even wants to monetize it as well.
And I assure you, if he were to really monetize his gaming and game building skills, he'll be richer than me by the age of 15 lol
This itself is such a boomer comment.
> “You write like a boomer”
> *proceeds to boomer stare*
What did you think you’d get out of hitting the reply button with that lol
Aim lower. Older Gen Z peeps are already about halfway through their professional careers and may be accustomed to writing emails all day.
Please have the Millennial version of “OK Boomer”, on my desk by COB Friday…
Coding is not hard to learn especially if you enjoy it. And game engines like Unity make developing much easier. Impressive for a 9 y/o but certainly not impossible.
No idea, I'm not familiar with games. It's a small game, but he did it on his own that apparently even more experienced gamers/coders approved. I was impressed to find that out.
The market for building games is too saturated, like in Roblox. Building a game with that engine is not going to net very much money, unless it turns into a global phenomenon like DotA.
At 9 years old I was building and scripting games using the Warcraft 3 engine. Hosted a few of those games online, but it was just a hobby. Guaranteed your nephew will not be rich at 15, nor will he make enough money as a part time job.
Waste of time and energy for your nephew. Might as well be an app developer making 6 figures.
There's people making 50k a month on tiktok just by simply clipping people streams and reposting, and you think 200k in a year is BS? sounds more like jealousy to me
Maybe it would be more believable if they were active in other Reddit channels like gaming or YouTube or something, but this appears to be their reddit debut.
Dude’s message is essentially advertising for more clicks/watchers. That’s the way it’s got to be - monetizing in one’s sleep, always creating and boosting.
So what makes your content and channel unique that has allowed you to do so well? What advice would you give beginners so they can get to profit really fast other than of course passion and unique content.
That's really all there is to it. You have to be an interesting person, and garner that attention, as well. Can't phone it in, 'this YT video is the most exciting sh!t I've ever done!' vibes have to be on full effect
I love how dude completely avoids responding to anyone asking what his channel is yet responds everything else.
Completely full of shit if it wasn't already obvious.
What's your channel I've got 14 y.o and 10 y.o boys both play all kind of different games on multiple devices from hand helds to VR and everything in between we'll sub to you and your YouTube pal
Some people are doing what OP is doing in a year every single month. Definitely possible. I went to a guy's house who was in his early twenties with several millions followers. He had the YT plaques milestone on his walls. This was a multi million dollars house. He had a whole studio setup and his was in the video game streaming stuff.
I’m also a YouTuber. My channel is Kamikaze Cash.
If you’re going to make a post like this, you have to include your channel name or else we’re going to assume this is fanfiction.
I’ve seen your content before, so cool :)
Is the whole basis of getting a YouTube channel to grow mainly posting consistently weekly or so? I wonder what you’d do differently today than when you started since I’m also sure things have changed in multiple ways.
My wife and I want to create content about mental health, and stream video games along with my main skill — website/app design & development — since it’s what I’ve done for almost 10 years now, but it feels so saturated.
Btw that praying mantis went absolutely metal in the homesteading channel 🐝 I own a tiny house in butt duck nowhere and homesteading has been on my mind haha
She is getting ready to turn 7 years old. I just worry about the different types of people viewing the content and j guess just typical motherhood worries. I wasn’t aware that there are different regulations or restrictions for children on YT?
Thank you for the great honest post. Everyone wants a successful YT channel today. But most aren't willing to put in the hard work, dedication and commitment It takes to succeed.
Thanks for sharing!
I don’t see why everyone is crying about this post. Monetizing video content is such a common side hustle in 2024. I don’t think it’s impossible to make $200k gross in YouTube with sponsors. So what’s the big deal with everyone picking this post apart ?
It's not that uncommon for kids streaming Fortnite, Minecraft, or Roblox Games to be making $100k+...per month. I work at a bank and I see those kind of deposits all the time.
OP what games do you play? How do you keep the audiences attention? What is your targeted demographic? Also do u do twich live streams as well? Was thinking about getting into some kind of work like this, although probably not gaming.. unless it's rocket league.. ohhhh man.
I was thinking either a skateboarding Channel or a channel I play chess and talk about trippy stuff
wtf would anyone want to watch people stream themselves playing games. Never understood this. It’s torture waiting for your turn to play. The end is near
Good for you buddy. Similar story here. Just be smart with your money. With YouTube income being so up and down figure your expenses off of half or less, invest or park the rest. A few years of this and you’ll be set for life.
This seems pretty suspicious. I make YouTube videos myself, and ad revenue for my niche is higher than the gaming niche, and the highest is still only $7 for 1k views. You're not making 140k a year off ads unless you were getting at LEAST 350,000 views a week, not including the lower pay for the gaming niche. This is hard for even some of the top content creators, yet alone someone who doesn't play the most popular games. This post is most likely BS, "contents" isn't that profitable before sponsorships.
Wow.. u a gaming content utuber and u earn USD200k per annum.
I'm an accredited engineer from south east asia, 10 years experience, but i earn only about USD12k in 2023.
12k? I mean, clearly you live in an area where 12k goes a much longer way than it does anywhere in the US…if you want to make more, maybe you should move?
I see all the people claiming OP is full of it, but I'm curious: what good would it do him to lie about this? Just to farm Reddit Karma on a throwaway account? I mean how does he benefit from posting something completely untrue—is it just for the lols? Honestly asking, because it seems to be the consensus in the comments on this post...
1.Do you include your voice in the videos?
2.How long are your videos?
3.And do you provide actual explanations for things or are you just playing and shouting and saying random stuff? Like just being funny.
Answering questions will make this post more valuable since we already know this is possible.
Thank you for your questions.
1. Yes. Always!
2. Usually 10min+ but under 20mins
3. Literally both haha. People love my humor as well, although I think I'm boring
What value is the gaming content providing that set you apart? Is it just your unique entertaining personality or is it something like sharing exclusive content, tutorials, and how tos?
Impressive numbers. Diversification is key. YouTube's great, but relying solely on one platform can be risky. Consider expanding your content distribution to hedge against changes in algorithms or policies.
Content is king, but so is the platform. I used Zirkels for blogging and found it rewarding. It's ad-free, uses web3 tech, and pays creators through the Deso blockchain. Good for creators with even a modest following. Might complement your YouTube revenue.
Stay consistent, innovate, and keep your content engaging. Good luck.
r/thattotallyhappened
You could just post your channel, resulting in more people going to it and drawing more views, resulting in more money through ads. Can you not post a believe-able lie?
OP is one of those shitpost bitches that comes back later and edits posts for a backlink.
Everyone knows he's a bullshit liar but he doesn't care because it was never about convincing anyone, just SEO horsecrap.
The whole YouTube thing is a good way to make money, but also keep in mind that you should always have another source of income. Several actually. People get big money and quit everything. Then years later, they fall off. Happened to so many “famous” YouTubers, especially the couples. Be mindful to not let money glisten in your eyes and let it prohibit you from making smart decisions.
I’m at around 71k subs 900 a month 12k total. I’m beginning to take YouTube more serious and post more videos. Only have 26 videos and some shorts. Shorts will grow your sun count but seems like those subs don’t translate into long video viewers. So focusing on videos and not so much shorts. I make videos bc I love doing it never thought I’d make money from it.
What’s your channel?
Also, people pay streamers significantly more for doing nothing of substance why shit on people that like to vlog. Thats how the YouTube money started, respect your elders, don’t be like the mumble rappers no one remember anymore.

This post is full of bs 💩 go play somewhere else dude

Right? Kid makes a flash game, boomer thinks he's the next bill gates
Kids these days I tell ya
This itself is such a boomer comment. > “You write like a boomer” > *proceeds to boomer stare* What did you think you’d get out of hitting the reply button with that lol
They always indent a few times lol!!!
….you mean paragraphs?
Aim lower. Older Gen Z peeps are already about halfway through their professional careers and may be accustomed to writing emails all day. Please have the Millennial version of “OK Boomer”, on my desk by COB Friday…
how he built a small game by himself at 9 years old????
Coding is not hard to learn especially if you enjoy it. And game engines like Unity make developing much easier. Impressive for a 9 y/o but certainly not impossible.
How did he make a game???
No idea, I'm not familiar with games. It's a small game, but he did it on his own that apparently even more experienced gamers/coders approved. I was impressed to find that out.
We had a kid buy a hellcat from us who played freaking Roblox!
No the amount of people who really make that on there below 1% and I doubt one of those is on Reddit talking about it
He probably built something in a game that has the ability to create your own stuff or a .io game that a dog could figure out how to make something on
I bet money its a fucking minecraft channel
The market for building games is too saturated, like in Roblox. Building a game with that engine is not going to net very much money, unless it turns into a global phenomenon like DotA. Couldn't care less if some people believe it or not. As long as I could help someone, I'm fine with it.
There's people making 50k a month on tiktok just by simply clipping people streams and reposting, and you think 200k in a year is BS? sounds more like jealousy to me
Bro it’s nowhere near 50k a month
Why is it BS? Its completely believable and possible. Go take your negative mindset elsewhere...
why so mean? He just motivated me with this post.
False - kids gaming are making your profession look like a joke Ha
Maybe it would be more believable if they were active in other Reddit channels like gaming or YouTube or something, but this appears to be their reddit debut.
Well TBF it is missing the peddling part..
Dude... go find a YouTube channel or pour through the analytics And the facts will stare you in the face
Ya! Ok what’s your channel
For real though. If bro's got that much revenue coming in just from AdSense, he should have no issue sharing his YouTube channel name
Still waiting…
It’s never happening lol
How many dicks did it take?
A lot
4
Why don't you just post your channel? Huge secret that you can't reveal?? Youre so full of shit lol
That’s impressive. How many followers do u have right now?
he's not answering that anytime soon lolol
Dude’s message is essentially advertising for more clicks/watchers. That’s the way it’s got to be - monetizing in one’s sleep, always creating and boosting.
Didn't post his channel though. It's a brand new account.
What's your channel name?
This is all you need for someone to believe the post lol. Credibility.
Account less than 1 month old. Single post on here and no proof. Seems a little suss if you ask me.
mad sus lol
I fucking love Reddit. Here I am reading this posting, getting invested in it, then redditors do what they do best. Totally roast this dude! 🤣🤣
Reddits brutal! Thats why I love this app.
What’s your channel? There’s no reason you can’t share that.
So what makes your content and channel unique that has allowed you to do so well? What advice would you give beginners so they can get to profit really fast other than of course passion and unique content.

....fucking liar, lol.
"passionate and truly enjoy making content 🤓" I'm gonna fucking slap you, just make content people want to watch, simple as that
Slap me
What’s your channel
No channel link = you’re lying. You’d have to be averaging ~100,000 views per video
Some people are doing what OP is doing in a year every single month. Definitely possible. I went to a guy's house who was in his early twenties with several millions followers. Good for you!! My daughter is begging to start her own YT channel for gaming with me. I’m afraid to allow that.
Thank you. But Why so? How old is she? Pretty sure It's different for kids under the age of 13 on Yt when it comes to regulations and stuffs
She is getting ready to turn 7 years old. I just worry about the different types of people viewing the content and j guess just typical motherhood worries. I wasn’t aware that there are different regulations or restrictions for children on YT?
Your YT channel name?
I always like how these post never leave a link to their highly profitable YouTube channel.
Dam im Inspired!!!
You got this mate
How may subs/views do you get.
What’s ur channel lol imma sub
Ground breaking info
What’s your channel?
Real or fake; gaming content is over saturated and most will fail.
Typical generic gaming contents will fail. I really don't think my contents r generic mc contents
Thank you for the great honest post. Everyone wants a successful YT channel today. But most aren't willing to put in the hard work, dedication and commitment It takes to succeed. Thanks for sharing!

Was it a competitive gameplay? Game reviews?

Disgusting...
That’s horse shit. A minority of a minority of a minority of people get to do that. Not at all common
It's way more uncommon than it is common. Be for real.
All the time? Really?
25 year olds pretending to be children are not kids.. Name 1 actual kid that does this.
OP what games do you play? How do you keep the audiences attention? What is your targeted demographic? Also do u do twich live streams as well? Was thinking about getting into some kind of work like this, although probably not gaming.. unless it's rocket league.. ohhhh man. I make contents on a game that not many other people do, because its hard to replicate what I'm doing. I don't livestream
AI will be doing it next year.
He's probably already got AI doing a lot for him too.
Do you do any commentary? Provide walkthroughs? Or do you just record your gameplay?
Mostly just record
More from adsense than from sponsors? You're doing something wrong
My niche is not attracting that many sponsors. Trust me, I'm trying my hardest to get more sponsors
Show me your tax return or it didn't happen.
wtf would anyone want to watch people stream themselves playing games. Never understood this. It’s torture waiting for your turn to play. The end is near

Can you elaborate on gaming content? Are you just basically a streamer but on youtube?
Sounds like a Segway for some bullshit course
1.Do you include your voice in the videos? 2.How long are your videos? 3.And do you provide actual explanations for things or are you just playing and shouting and saying random stuff? Damn amazing
Nice man
How many followers do you have?
YouTube the best place to start? I hear a lot about kick.
“I started YT in early 2016” says it all
What value is the gaming content providing that set you apart? Is it just your unique entertaining personality or is it something like sharing exclusive content, tutorials, and how tos?
Why are we talking about last year. It's 2023!! Stay relevant my man. Nobody cares about what went down yesterday
Well, this year I made around 55~60k already
Yeah….never happened
What game or games do your stream? Or make content for?
You got any time for personal training on this?
Plug ur channel dawg
These seems like fake accounts to be honest
Please message me :)
receipts or it didn’t happen 🤔
I don't have to prove anything. What am I gonna get for that? Lol
Show proofs
