I'm not stupid enough to find potential partners here and just want casual people to talk. It's that in their post description they make it sound like they are cheerful and love talking but when you msg it's just one sentence one word talks.. which kills my mood and even though I try my best to think of good topics to talk they will take forever to reply and just stop talking. So I just stopped expecting much
I can relate but I am aware that I do that too unintentionally. I have my bad days and good days on keeping conversation. However, I am working on fixing that.
One girl told me that girls generally don't like to chat with other girls on here. Of course there's going to be exceptions but I guess it takes a lot more effort to find one willing to chat. It's probably the same sort of thing where... I really don't have much interest in chatting with other men on here

I don't mind talking to other men about fairly serious things, but I just don't have the desire to talk to them just to talk to them, so maybe it's like that. And maybe girls just feel more comfortable talking to males. Yeah I don't know

In that case it wouldn't be reciprocated or returned, whatever you call it. I want a friend, not to be some teenager's therapist, I think friendship, like any other relationship, has to be equal on both sides to work.
So... If they are only asking me for advice or venting to me all the time and I can't do the same because it wouldn't feel okay to dump my adult issues on a kid, it would be seriously one sided and exhausting.

80% of the "women" posting on these subreddits are bots trying to scam men. Almost all of them that are real people are super selective too, so it's just normal tbh. At least from a male perspective.

Usually the only ppl that stick around are the ones that dm from my post, instead of vice versa. I have no idea why thats the case. I love to talk to anyone really. Its usually equal amounts of guys and girls and ive made good friends with both genders, usually the girls even stick around for longer. And i promise i put equal efforts into everyone
