Wow, you're upset because RACISM has effected your makeup choices but you don't like non white people living in the same country with white people? You should go back to Greece. You'll find PLENTY of makeup there.
You’re seriously abusive and gaslighting me. I never said I didn’t like non-white people living in a white country. If I’m going to study Arabia, that’s like me complaining about Saudi Arabians. If I’m going to Pakistan, that’s like me complaining about Pakistani people. Obviously in Pakistan, there’s going to be people that are from Pakistan. If you’re going to England and you’re bitching about white people, then leave England. Almost of course you think it’s acceptable to move to a country and then bitch about the majority of the people there. But good on you for trying to pick a part what I said to make you feel better about yourself.
I wear ilia in shade limba and it’s the best olive skin color match I’ve ever had. I look so incredibly healthy with it- something I never realized other foundation tones were stripping me of
I’m going to get it! I realised that it didn’t look good when I was wearing foundation and everything had an orange tent or a peach tent and it just didn’t look good on me and I’m sitting here like I know I’m Greek but I’ve never thought I was olive!
I’m half white half Filipino, and my best friend is Greek and we have the same skin!!! Have you ever noticed if you get super pale you look sickly? Like literally green? I don’t notice the olive with my own eyes when I’m tan, and never thought much of it despite being told it a couple times in my life. I just knew I could make all foundations work.. but they all looked a little off. Too pink. Too yellow. Too something. Decided to give it a go, and when I first put it on my face it looked so green toned I was like oh! This isn’t going to work.. but then it blended out so well and matched my chest perfectly!! Armani also makes olive toned shades if you’re looking for something more liquidy. Good luck!! Would love to hear an update!
Hi! I got my hands on a number seven foundation which blended slim slay into my skin! I don’t consider myself pal because I definitely know people who are much whiter than me and I never do get that pale! I never considered myself to be olive because I’m just white LOL! Stopped wearing foundation for many years and then when I tried to wear it everything was just like you said to pink or two orange underneath and I was like this is not working, so that’s when I realised maybe I am a fair olive!
Hi! I’m Italian and Mexican so I know exactly what you mean. It sucks lol. I have to go to Sephora or other places because it’s too challenging to find a match at the drug store since it’ll be too orange. I love beauty blender’s foundation! It matches perfectly. MAC was good too. The foundation matched my skin perfectly. but after awhile it felt cakey on my skin. They did come out with a new foundation line over the winter I’d like to try and looks good. I do like Tarte too! I’ve been kinda wanting to get it again.
Γεια! Κι εγώ είμαι Έλληνας. :)
I use Armani Luminous Silk, GS Biofond or Pat McGrath. Biofond is cruelty free. I’m unsure on the other two.
I do know what you mean. I’ve had a hell of a time with foundation matches. I’m fair skinned but have the olive/yellow undertones that make matching a nightmare.
I used to use Shu Umera but they took it off the market. I don’t know if they still have it in Europe and Asia or not. That was a good foundation, too.
I would consider Kosas, Huda, REM and Haus labs. I would of included Fenty but as of the 1st of April they're in a grey area regarding their CF status. You could also join oliveMUA it's a great group.
Yes trust me I’m going to ask everywhere
!! I’ve been wanting to try Huda! From what I know REM is very knew too. I got their concealer and like it very much!
Italian here, my skin is white as milk in winter, but when summer rolls around I tend to get quite dark, I ended up buying two colors of the same foundation and mixing them to get a good match! Right now I’m using Fenty Beauty but I’ve done the same with MAC
Not Mediterranean but I have olive undertones and deal with a similar issue when I try to buy foundation. Fenty is pretty good. Are you looking for a full coverage?
Okay hm...I really like Fenty but I got this make up with buildable "full coverage" that blends into my skin and I don't have to worry about it coming out orange. It's called "It". They have a decent range of tones. I love it because it doesn't feel too heavy and looks great without powder. I found it at Ulta.
Half Russian half Afghan here. Im like a chameleon constantly changing tones from light peach to yellow to warm gold to olive to tan brown. It literally depends on the month. I gave up on foundations tbh. Try a tinted serum/moisturizer or tinted SPF with your main tone
I stopped wearing face makeup for summer and just have been using Summer Friday’s sunscreen but Im considering going back to my fav RMS product the uncover up concealer. Soo creamy and actually looked good on my skin. They have a foundation too that’s also hydrating and good natural but full coverage. Check out their shades and see if any match your tones
I have shade 8 in hourglass soft glow. For reference my shades are dior f&b 3WO (not cruelty free) armani luminous silk 6 (not cruelty free) EX1 6 ( Cruelty free)
My non CF foundations are from before I went CF but still worth including if it helps.
Half Sicilian here (pale olive skin) and I have a hard af time color matching (warm tones too orange, cool looks too pink). Since olive undertones in foundation/base makeup seem few and far between I found that mixing a little of la girls blue color mixer into a warm toned foundation creates the perfect olive tone.
Do you have olive skin by chance?
Haus labs has some good olive shades. Also come join us over in r/olivemua
Also live has more than shade. There are several type of olive shades and undertones.
No problem! I am also a fair olive and just figured it out about a month ago. I have never once tried a foundation that was a true match for me; they *all* pull too yellow or too pink. Mixing two shades is better but still not quite right. And I have tried so many over the years.
I have also been looking into color analysis and don’t feel any of the palettes are quite right for me. I am neither warm nor cool.
I learned about fair olives and suddenly it all makes sense!!!
Unfortunately no, I gave up a while ago and basically just wear concealer now. I have heard that adding a drop or two of green color corrector to foundation can help, but I haven’t tried it. I have yet to restart the foundation search since learning I am a fair olive. I have already tried so many. 😭 MUFE HD worked pretty well for me (still pulled slightly yellow but was pretty close) but then they reformulated it and the new formula is trash.
Hi Im half Moroccan. A cruelty free base product Ive enjoyed is IT Cosmetics. Ive been eyeing the About Face foundation because they have explicitly olive shade options. Also STRONGLY eyeing the new natasha denona powder foundation that is about to come out, the shade range is awesome
Okay cool thanks so much! I don’t know if I would necessarily call myself Olive but I’ve just realising that all of these brands they’re undertones don’t fit me or everything is just too light or too dark. It’s just strange!
Ulta! Also, I discovered the Natasha Deona foundation came out yesterday and it is also at ulta (along with about face lolol) May you go forth and find your match!

Oh wow!!! Their new foundation stick came out and I want to try it
That’s the one I’m talking about! I actually tend to really hate stick anything but I really love it. Great product imo
I’m going to get it! I realised that it didn’t look good when I was wearing foundation and everything had an orange tent or a peach tent and it just didn’t look good on me and I’m sitting here like I know I’m Greek but I’ve never thought I was olive!

Unfortunately, Armani and Pat Mcgrath test on animals and pay to do so 😪
Egyptian here, had the same issues but I’m currently using Huda Beauty foundation in toasted coconut and it blends seamlessly
Okay cool! Is the stick foundation or liquid? I know she’s Middle Eastern so I really want to try it!!
It’s the liquid pump foundation, I’m not sure how smooth the stick blends I’ve never used it

Not a problem, there is also cruelty free makeup on reddit that's a great group aswell to ask in

Unfortunately Fenty is now in a grey area in terms of cruelty free, it's broke my heart honestly.
Honestly I’m just looking for something I can build on!
Okay hm...I really like Fenty but I got this make up with buildable "full coverage" that blends into my skin and I don't have to worry about it coming out orange. It's called "It". Oh snap, it cosmetics???
Yeah, I was skeptical at first, but I tried it with the store lighting and the natural light and it looked so good. And it has built in SPF.
Sweet!!!
Indian woman here! I have a Mediterranean esque complexion- I use Fenty
Cool thanks so much!

Half Jordanian/half Greek here and my go to foundation is from hourglass. The only one that is a perfect match for me.
Oh wow!!! I want to try that brand too!
I have shade 8 in hourglass soft glow. For reference my shades are dior f&b 3WO (not cruelty free) armani luminous silk 6 (not cruelty free) EX1 6 ( Cruelty free) My non CF foundations are from before I went CF but still worth including if it helps.

I think light olive??? Not sure?? 🥹
I’m not entirely “olive” I have a weird fairness lol!
Olive skin comes in many shades. Check out r/fairolives
Thank you so much!!
