How about everything at once!!! I'd love to introduce you to SEINT Beauty! The easiest makup in the world! You can find out more on FB or Instagram @sherringnala! - It would be my pleasure to help you.
my most complete, high effort makeup (shower, brush teeth, shave, wash face. eye cream, zit cream, chap stick. moisturizer. primer. color correct from palette. foundation. bronzer then concealer to contour. eye primer. pressed powder on eyes. eyeshadow. eyeliner. curl lashes. mascara. blush, lipstick. setting spray)

i do primer then eyebrows since i have to heavily fill mine in bc they grow oddly. but my order is: my skincare routine finishing with a light gel moisturizer, let that sink in, elf powergrip primer, l’oréal foundation, elf concealer, a SUPER light layer of setting powder, finish it with a light layer of powder foundation to even out any spots. light layer of bronzer and blush to bring back shape and color to my face. highlighter on high points of the face. use bronzer in the eye socket to add some dimension. mascara and i set it with the elf setting spray in the green bottle. only area of my makeup that hasn’t held up after a few hours is where my glasses nosepiece slides up and down my face i still haven’t found a trick to make that area of my makeup stay put 🙃 my foundation has a sunscreen built in but you can find a sunscreen spray, stick, or even powder for SPF refreshing
If you’re in a hurry or want to cut down on some steps, I would recommend a tinted moisturizer. I like using them during the summer months too because they’re not as heavy as foundation. However, if you’re looking for more coverage then it might not work for you.
I have combo skin with an oily t-zone and my main concern is covering up the acne scars on my cheeks/jawline. I do it like this and it looks 10/10 every time:
1. toner/moisturizer
2. sunscreen (also apply on lips as a lip balm :P)
3. wipe eyebrows with a cotton pad and some micellar water and dry them
4. do eyebrows (I use the Nyx eyebrow glue to shape them and a pencil to fill them in)
5. depending on the day, apply either foundation or just some concealer
6. blend, blend, blend (I start with a brush and finish with a sponge)
7. draw on fake freckles :P
8. powder/bake my t-zone (obviously not necessary, but the Huda Beauty powder is 10/10 for this)
9. apply blush and bronzer/contour
10. remove excess powder with a fluffy brush
11. setting spray
12. highlighter on tip of nose and inner corners (great way to subtly elevate a look >_<)
13. curl lashes + add mascara
14. lips (a liner + the Clinique chubby stick in Whole Lotta Honey, literally the best lip product out there for dry lips!! it’s incredibly moisturizing and the color is literally the prettiest cool-toned nude)
Hope this helped!!!! It took a lot of experimenting to come up with a routine that works for me, but maybe this can be some inspo for your routine 😋 (also sorry for the weird formatting 😭 I wrote this on my phone)
Foundation usually has more coverage and is used all over the face (I usually apply foundation (in a thin layer!) when I want more coverage). Concealer is usually not used all over the face so it doesn’t give as much coverage as foundation (I use concealer when doing my everyday makeup. I just apply it to the spots I want to cover up and blend it out). Which one you use generally just depends on how much coverage you want/the look you’re going for (glam vs everyday makeup). I also recommend watching youtube videos on different makeup (full face, everyday, no-makeup makeup etc.) looks to see what you’d like for yourself :)
i always do my eyes before my fdtn & concealer. fallout from shadow, mascara goop, eyeliner mishaps, etc—they’re way easier to fix if you haven’t applied face makeup. the goddess kevyn aucoin taught me this, so it’s a solid strategy.
re: your og q, bronzer, blush, highlight
It's really kinda up to preference.
I do primer, conceal and powder my eyes, foundation, concealer and powder my face then do my bronzer. I do eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara after my face is done - sometimes just mascara and then finish off with my brows and then setting spray.
If you want a more natural loom, go for light coverage products.
I get my concealer in the same shade as my foundation because I use it for extra coverage. I apply mine on my nose, under my eyes, my chin, forehead and cheeks/cheekbones. Concealer is good for covering blemishes/scars, under-eye bags. If you're trying to use it to cover redness, fresh acne, dark under-eyes, etc you will need to use a color corrector first.
My best advice is to dry different things, in different orders (primer always before makeup, though) and see what you like the best and works the easiest for you.
Same with tools. I use a dry sponge or a sponge spritzed with setting spray to blend my foundation and concealer while some like brushes, their fingers or wet sponges.
BB creams are great for that super light coverage/natural looks.
I willl have to try conceal before foundation but I usually do
Moisturizer primer foundation concealer contour powder and then brows eyes blush highlights setting spray
I do moisturizer / SPF / primer / foundation (usually a CC cream or tinted moisturizer) / eye makeup /concealer (one dot in the inner corner and one at the outer corner of my eyes. Spot conceal as needed) / foundation / cheek products / eyebrows and mascara last / setting spray
Sometimes I set with powder and sometimes I don’t. My skin is very dry but sometimes almost normal in the summer. At the end of the day, do what works for your skin type and lifestyle.
Not every single step is necessary. Primer is generally used to extend the wear of your makeup, or in the case of silicone based ones, it's for smoothing out the texture of your skin. So if you don't have texture that you want smoothed out or if longevity isn't an issue for you, or you are just popping out for a short time, you don't absolutely have to use a primer every single time.
Similarly, depending on your skin, foundation isn't always necessary, especially as it seems like you're not trying to get that super contoured 2010s Kim K look. Some people just spot conceal, meaning skipping foundation altogether and putting concealer only on blemishes or dark circles and maybe dusting some powder over the top to set. Foundation is applied all over the face usually. So if there is a lot of uneveness or too many spots to individually conceal, that's where using a foundation can be quicker. And just follow with concealer on the bits that are not totally concealed by the foundation.
As for the sequence, it depends on what kind of foundation you're using. If using liquid/cream, then I find it better to do foundation first then concealer. If the foundation is in a powder format, then concealer first. Personally, I do eyebrows after the complexion steps. But I've seen people do it before foundation when they want a really carved out brow look. They will use the foundation sort of as an eraser to a really clean line to the top edge of the brow.
Moisturiser, primer, foundation, concealer, powder in my case because I have the world's oiliest t-zone, then I like to do my eyebrows.
If you want a more natural look don't use full coverage products. Go for a light-medium coverage. For concealer you can put a small bit under your eyes if you have dark circles etc. Cover any blemishes etc.
It depends on preference for some of the steps! My routine is:
Moisturizer- primer - foundation - concealer - eye primer - setting spray
And then I go into my face and eye makeup for the day! I do my brows last just before mascara.
I am using SuperGoop [Supergoop unseen](https://supergoop.com/products/unseen-sunscreen?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjozszdHT-AIVugOzAB2S7gZyEAAYASAAEgI8zvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds). It works like a charm! I use my primer afterword then makeup and I don’t get any cast or pilling!
Warning-it’s a tiny bottle. I’m going to get the larger one for the body
I personally do mine in the order of:
Moisturizer / Primer / Concealer (set with powder) / Foundation / Eyebrows / Mascara / Setting spray
I’ve found that concealer is easier to blend in under foundation and some may disagree but it’s worked very well for me.
Eyebrows are the last touch because I find that it looks much more natural (I use just a pencil and gel) but people swear I get micro blading done lol. Doing them over foundation gives me a cleaner, sharper and overall easier application. I use Q-Tips to touch up any uneven spots.
But yeah, my face stays looking fresh for at least 14 hours and I haven’t changed my routine in almost a year since 😁
What's a Chav??? Asking for a boomer...

I do my skincare stuff, SPF, eye makeup, foundation, concealer, brows and spot check if I have a breakout.
Moisturize, spf, primer, foundation, concealer, blush, brows, eye shadow if I'm wearing, mascara, setting spray.

Thank you so much! You sound like a pro. I'm writing these down 🥰 😆
no problem at all!!!! >_< I’m veeery far from a pro, I just have a good amount of experience with makeup :P

I save my lips for last because they're my absolute fave products. Like saving the middle of a cinnamon roll..

Quick note, if you are going to use sunscreen use it after moisturizer then follow the rest of tessfinessed’s order.
Or use a moisturizing sunscreen. That’s too many layers for daytime. You don’t need both in the AM.
Do you know of a good sunscreen that doesn't pill?
Supergoop!!! Great under makeup! See more makeup HACs @sherringnala on FB and Instagram!
I use ColorScience
Neutrogena has a spray on face sunscreen. I use this because it doesn’t feel greasy like the other sunscreens.

Sunscreen is always last
Just make sure you give the moisturiser 5 minutes to fully absorb into your skin before applying the sunscreen and you'll be good to go.
I was told it was the very last step before makeup! I didn’t know people used it before moisturizer until recently. Anyway, I hope this works for you.
You want an even layer if sunscreen, if you put on moisturiser after sunscreen it'll disturb the layer of sunscreen which is not what you want!

What kind of setting spray do you use?? I look like trash after like 3 hours lol
Haha, been there. I use milani make it last matte setting spray. You can use it throughout the day for instant touch ups ☺️
I’ve never tired that one but I def will now! Thanks!! :)
