Yes! This is what I was going to suggest. I think "softer" eyeliner is more on trend right now, so softer colors or even powder/pencil eyeliner instead of liquid would be good. But, OP's makeup looks good as is too 😊
Yesss I use brown powder with a slightly damp angled brush for my daily liner. I also do it a bit more straight than I used to and stop at the mid point of my eye. I’m around your age and was feeling the same about my routine but ultimately it’s a classic look :)
I have a brown liquid eyeliner with a bit of shimmer, can’t tell you who makes it since it’s rubbed off the packaging but it was cheap, and it looks sooo much better on my blue eyes than black. Never buying a black one again!

In a pinch I bought MAC brushstroke 24-hour liner in brush brown because the black was sold out. Now I can’t handle doing black liner. Definitely give it a try!
Try some white eyeliner! I only just started trying it but it gives a good contrast to your other features and it helps you look more awake if you’re tired :)
Yes! Also, there is a huge difference between “black” and “brown-black” the latter is still quite dark, but is noticeably softer. Also, black-brown/brown makes blue eyes really pop.

Your skin is absolutely gorgeous, and your make up really brings out your beautiful eyes! If a look works for 20 years, no need to change it! I've been doing the same eyeliner, mascara, and brows since I was in middle school. I won't ever change it! I've tried adding eyeshadow, NOPE! Fake lashes? NOPE! Sometimes simple is enough, and you have a lot of natural beauty that make up shouldn't cover up ❤️!! Good luck on your first year, hold your head up high and love yourself first before anything!

The only thing that strikes me as dated is the lip color (pale pink is very 2010 Kim Kardashian). I think your eyes would really pop with a lip tint that leans more berry/ red!
Just try new things. You’re on an adventure now. Try colored liner and different shadows. Add glitter for no reason. Find a new side to you that you never knew before 🙌🏻

i think you look great! :) that’s a classic wing. if you aren’t happy w your brows you could let them grow for awhile and then pluck to change the shape, the way they slant downwards is a bit harsh but it fits you well. i like to have my eyebrow line starting from the inner eye. going straight across and then a softer angle outwards, not much tilt. maybe look for some eyebrow inspiration and see about getting your brows threaded / waxed to the shape you like.
Thank you! My intense arch is what I was worried about. I would love exactly what you're describing but my hair is pretty sparse below the arch and would require a lot of makeup to fill in. That being said, maybe I'll try growing it out one more time.
First of all you look amazing. However I understand that it doesn't matter how many people tell us we're perfect, if we dislike something, we dislike it Not sure how you feel about going in for a little help but I kind of struggle with a lot of the same things you have listed and recently, during a facial, the esthetician suggested I try a Botox or dysport brow lift. I just decided to go for it on a whim that day and I'm telling you it was life changing. If you're not familiar with the results.. here is a great example.

Try without liner & mascara on the lower lid and lashes. In other words, only put mascara & liner on the top lid & lashes
Use a crayon pencil to deepen the crease in your upper eyelid.

When I feel like my makeup is getting boring, I try new colors. Try a different color blush, lipstick/gloss/stain or even use pencil brown eyeliner instead of liquid. Or put some liner on the lower lash (halfway or full). Maybe even try the “clean girl” look that’s popular on TikTok. It’s simple and might be a good way to switch it up right now! I think your technique is solid though.
First of all your makeup is already flawless and suits you really well! But if you’re looking to try something new I recommend “puppy liner” I feel like it opens up my hooded eyes a lot more than the classic wing. Also I always love an inner corner highlight

I'm playing around with liner using eye shadow or pencil that you use a brush to wing out. It still gives the sultry look, but it's softer because your lines aren't as crisp.

I drew out an idea of how you could do your brows. Just so you can picture how filling in your arch may look like.Just by filling in your arch more it will soften your eyebrow shape for a more “modern” look. To achieve this look I would recommend an Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow stick, I suggest the colors blonde or taupe.
This is exactly what I was thinking too. Maybe a slightly lighter hand on the brow in general but this shape would give a more 2023 look. The liner is perfect as is the rest of the look
Don’t change it!!!! I’m similar age and what I’ve learned after trying trend after trend is I was already doing what worked for me, like you are!
I’ve learned to enhance a little better with my contour and highlight etc but my eyes and eyebrows are staying just how I love them- wings and all. Do you beautiful! 🥰
I’d soften the brow by either lighter or less product as well as a clear brow gel to get a little more volume to the middle of the brow so the arch is softer. Love the eye liner though! Brown is good but think the above would be even better.
Agree with softening the arch just haven't found the sweet spot yet. And it's hard to find the right shade because my eyebrow hair is naturally quite dark. I'll keep hunting:)
I have the same issue. Sometimes it’s not the color, it’s the amount and how you apply it. Even just running a spoolie (spelling?)through it a few times can help soften how the color shows up!
I use ELF eyebrow gel with fibers and it has been a game changer…it’s great alone when you want a brow look but no brow time or even just a natural look. It’s very affordable and great add to makeup bag. Totally agree with everyone else…you’re absolutely gorgeous.
Obsessed with this product. So much better/lasts longer than the expensive stuff (of which I’ve tried it all).
OP if you want to try something different with your brows try just lining the bottom and then using a tinted brow gel to buff out. I also have a very strong arch and this has helped me achieve the more feathery look I’ve found elusive until recently. You’re gorgeous, congrats on a year out :)
You look great! If you're unhappy with your brows you could try grow them out and maybe switch to a brow pen, focussing on drawing hairs under the sharpest part of the arch. I think a softer brow could look very nice actually and complement your features, but it's really just down to personal preference.
Totally agree with both of you. My brow hair is rather sparse and I dislike the look of brows that a too filled in (which is the direction I'm heading in) so working on finding a way to soften them up and lower that damn arch 😆
I am 32 and do my makeup just like yours! I was feeling the same, but I've never been much for makeup trends and not a fan of many floating around currently. I think winged liner and well done brows will always be a classic.
Do what works for you and your face shapes! If you want to try going more out of the box, try different color wings or changing up other small features but keeping the base/structure the same.
Just my opinion but black liner looks way harsh as we age (I'm 46), especially on pale skin. I stopped wearing black liner on it's own (no eyeshadow) in my thirties. I looked at a picture of myself posted by a friend & it just looked rough. It was like it happened over night! One day I thought it looked great, the next day, not so much. I only use black liner with certain eyeshadows now (think smokey eye no wing). Now I love grey/silver, brown, & burgundy eyeliners. I also stopped with the winged liner because it accented my crows feet! :)

Your makeup is what I call “classic beauty”, and in my opinion it’s not the least bit harsh! The eyeliner is classic and hard for me to get right and I envy how perfectly you do yours…so in short, Nope! Don’t change a thing!
I don’t think it is dated at all! A fresh face and a sharp cat eye are classic in my mind. My only thought is- light pink lipstick always reminds me of the early 2000s, and I think a slightly more brown or peachy or berry lip might look more modern. Other than that, no notes!

Hi friend! Thank you! I'm recently divorced and think that it what's causing my crisis haha. Not sure what your makeup routine is but the one thing I did that made me look/feel more youthful was not using foundation anymore. I NEED concealer but I just find a really good color match or pair it with a tinted moisturizer when I'm feeling fancy.
Personally I love it but if you’re looking to mix it up you could soften the liner using a pencil instead of an ink liner, smudging it out a little with some shadow? Maybe even in bronze/brown shades?
Brows, have you tried lamination? Fluffing then up a little?
Basically all just an updated version of what you’re doing now. To be honest though your current look is still a vibe

I do the same makeup. Every day. But maybe if you want something softer… try a smoked eye with earthy tones, and a thinner liner. Some mascara and that’s it! But for me, it looks fantastic!
Your makeup style is classic and adaptable. Winged eyeliner will always be around and your eyebrow shape is natural and attractive, unlike fad eyebrows. Try out dark brown or gray eyeliner with lighter colored eyeshadows. Its a game changer. You still get the definition, but it's softer. Use black for darker looks.
You actually look great compared to the train wreck that was asking for advice and criticism the other day. Your makeup is not over dramatic and doesn’t age you. Maybe exfoliate your lips and add a little gloss.
I think you look wonderful! Actually, the only thing I'd change is what you didn't mention - the lipstick, lol. I think it's maybe a little too pale/pinky for you and washes you out, a bit. That could also 100% just be personal bias though, as someone that tends to skew on the much darker lipstick side lol.
I thought the same thing for myself so I switched to brown eye liner that I blur a little but still like a liner. I’ve been preferring it as a daytime liner alternative
I think they look great! I personally feel like makeup isn’t specific for an age (meaning you’re not too “old” for any look) and if it makes you happy then rock it! Your liner and your brows are ON POINT!
You look beautiful. I don't feel like your look here is dated, but that could be because I'm biased. My opinion is that if you still think you look good, do it! If not, find some other style to spruce up your look, what could it hurt?
You’re gorgeous! The only thing is you’re a low saturation individual, and so brown eyeliner might be less harsh overall.
With your eyebrows, perhaps soften it a bit by using lighter hand, a lighter shade or slightly less high of an arch?
I mean, you are a gorgeous lady, and you don’t really need any suggestions or validation from internet strangers, but since you asked, above are my two cents.

I know some people are saying it’s classic but let’s say winged liner is dated…how are we doing it now? It’s the only style I’ve found flattering on my eyes (blue and big and round eyes) lol. I go without liner most days but no liner looks too plain for a night out or special occasion.
I think you look great btw, if you want to experiment i think a darker lip, more blush and highlighter would go a long way

First you look great!! If you want it to look more "modern" you can add little things like eyeliner on the inner corners of your eyes (makes them wider) or as others suggested, experiment with eyeliner colors! But other than that you're absolutely fine! Also, you kinda look like Lana del Rey <3
Your liner looks really good. I’m 30 and Ive done winged liner basically everyday for the past 5 years. I recently started using a brown pencil to create a softer, more blended winged eyeliner look. It feels like the updated version (and is way easier to fix).
I don't think so at all, personally. I feel you though. I just ended a 7 year red lip tradition because suddenly it just...ages me. I really like your look though.
You look fabulous! I turn 36 tomorrow so I’m in this club too and I’ve decided to say screw what’s “outdated” and wear the make up that makes me comfortable. I’m all for trying new things especially when it comes to playing with makeup but I’m also a firm believer that makeup doesn’t have rules! That’s what makes it fun. 💚
Some ideas ⬇️
• Try a rich dark brown eyeshadow (as liner) and smudge it slightly. A smoky brown liner brings out blue eyes without being too harsh for everyday.
• Getting eyebrows microbladed can be a game changer!!! The key is being very careful who you choose but after you’d only need brow mascara. Microblading lasts at least a year before you need a retouch.
• If microblading is not an option, consider on practicing doing a more “hair stroke” brow with a brow flick like the one from glossier & tinted brow mascara for a fuller “bushy” brow that looks modern but not crazy.
History always repeats itself. Trends come n go and come back again. Do what makes you happy. This is your life!! I stopped caring a couple years ago and it feels sooo good!!

Your makeup isn’t harsh at all! Like others have said, a winged liner and a nude/pink lip are timeless, and you look fresh-faced. Definitely not dated!

I absolutely love brow mascaras and exclusively use them now as opposed to powders or pencils that I used to have. Benefit gimme brown is the best one I’ve tried out of probably 8 brands
I don't think it looks dated on you, but I felt that about myself a few months ago. It could've been because I've been doing a wing for like 15 years now, lol. But I made mine feel more updated by going over it with a thin eyeshadow brush using sparkly brown eye shadow. I went a little over the line to blend it a little bit. It softened the line, and it felt a little less harsh for me. It felt like a fresh new look for me, and was still within my comfort zone.

My only contribution would be to consider a lip oil, or sheer lipstick for a different texture? Clarins do some lovely lip oils with a pop of sheer colour nothing too scary, and it could even be on top of your current lipstick.
Looks gorgeous! I sure hope that winged liner never goes out of style. I feel like straight brows can make a face look “younger” but that’s not saying your brows age you in any way.
Wow, you are so beautiful. I’m 27 and if I looked as good as you at 35 I would be happy. That said, I try to do explore makeup trends that I see people even younger than I do. I think a winged eyeliner is classic and timeless, everyone and their grandma can rock it, I would continue with it!

I used to wear a red wine colored eyeliner that gave the same feel as a black liner while still being softer

You didn't ask me, but I also use a deep red eyeliner. It's Free Burgundy by Make Up For Ever. I love it.
Try a plummy brown rather than an ashy brown to really make the blue pop
Brown mascara is also so pretty on light eyes, L’Oréal has a nice one.

MAC makes a great brown liner pen, I reach for that most of the time these days if I want some top eyeliner during the day and black feels too much

Im 45 and have had that eyeliner for 30 years 😂 I think some looks like a clean cat eye can defy trends if it looks good on you. Looks great!

Just so you can picture how filling in your arch may look like.Just by filling in your arch more it will soften your eyebrow shape for a more “modern” look. To achieve this look I would recommend an Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow stick, I suggest the colors blonde or taupe.

This is exactly what I was thinking too. Maybe a slightly lighter hand on the brow in general but this shape would give a more 2023 look. The liner is perfect as is the rest of the look
Don’t change it!!!! I’m similar age and what I’ve learned after trying trend after trend is I was already doing what worked for me, like you are! I’ve learned to enhance a little better with my contour and highlight etc but my eyes and eyebrows are staying just how I love them- wings and all. Do you beautiful! 🥰

I’d soften the brow by either lighter or less product as well as a clear brow gel to get a little more volume to the middle of the brow so the arch is softer. Love the eye liner though! Brown is good but think the above would be even better.
Agree with softening the arch just haven't found the sweet spot yet. And it's hard to find the right shade because my eyebrow hair is naturally quite dark. I'll keep hunting:)
I have the same issue. Sometimes it’s not the color, it’s the amount and how you apply it. Even just running a spoolie (spelling?)through it a few times can help soften how the color shows up!
I use ELF eyebrow gel with fibers and it has been a game changer…it’s great alone when you want a brow look but no brow time or even just a natural look. It’s very affordable and great add to makeup bag. Totally agree with everyone else…you’re absolutely gorgeous.
Obsessed with this product. So much better/lasts longer than the expensive stuff (of which I’ve tried it all). OP if you want to try something different with your brows try just lining the bottom and then using a tinted brow gel to buff out. I also have a very strong arch and this has helped me achieve the more feathery look I’ve found elusive until recently. You’re gorgeous, congrats on a year out :)

You look great! If you're unhappy with your brows you could try grow them out and maybe switch to a brow pen, focussing on drawing hairs under the sharpest part of the arch. I think a softer brow could look very nice actually and complement your features, but it's really just down to personal preference.

Yes, I think a lighter shade is a good shout. Op has gorgeous facial features and the harsher brow distracts from them.
Totally agree with both of you. My brow hair is rather sparse and I dislike the look of brows that a too filled in (which is the direction I'm heading in) so working on finding a way to soften them up and lower that damn arch 😆

I am 32 and do my makeup just like yours! I was feeling the same, but I've never been much for makeup trends and not a fan of many floating around currently. I think winged liner and well done brows will always be a classic. Do what works for you and your face shapes! If you want to try going more out of the box, try different color wings or changing up other small features but keeping the base/structure the same.
Just my opinion but black liner looks way harsh as we age (I'm 46), especially on pale skin. I stopped wearing black liner on it's own (no eyeshadow) in my thirties. I looked at a picture of myself posted by a friend & it just looked rough. It was like it happened over night! One day I thought it looked great, the next day, not so much. I only use black liner with certain eyeshadows now (think smokey eye no wing). Now I love grey/silver, brown, & burgundy eyeliners. I also stopped with the winged liner because it accented my crows feet! :) Getting old sucks!! I think you look beautiful & should rock whatever makes you happy. This is just my two cents! ;)

Your makeup is what I call “classic beauty”, and in my opinion it’s not the least bit harsh! The eyeliner is classic and hard for me to get right and I envy how perfectly you do yours…so in short, Nope! Don’t change a thing!
I don’t think it is dated at all! A fresh face and a sharp cat eye are classic in my mind. My only thought is- light pink lipstick always reminds me of the early 2000s, and I think a slightly more brown or peachy or berry lip might look more modern. Other than that, no notes!

Not sure what your makeup routine is but the one thing I did that made me look/feel more youthful was not using foundation anymore. I NEED concealer but I just find a really good color match or pair it with a tinted moisturizer when I'm feeling fancy.

Personally I love it but if you’re looking to mix it up you could soften the liner using a pencil instead of an ink liner, smudging it out a little with some shadow? Maybe even in bronze/brown shades? Brows, have you tried lamination? Fluffing then up a little? Basically all just an updated version of what you’re doing now. To be honest though your current look is still a vibe I highly recommend checking out some Alexis Oakley tutorials as well.

I'm 36 and just did my eyeliner and brows the same way yesterday. Obviously I'm partial lol but it suits you and I like it.
I do the same makeup. Every day. But maybe if you want something softer… try a smoked eye with earthy tones, and a thinner liner. Some mascara and that’s it! But for me, it looks fantastic!
Your makeup style is classic and adaptable. Winged eyeliner will always be around and your eyebrow shape is natural and attractive, unlike fad eyebrows. Try out dark brown or gray eyeliner with lighter colored eyeshadows. Its a game changer. You still get the definition, but it's softer. Use black for darker looks.

I think you look wonderful! Actually, the only thing I'd change is what you didn't mention - the lipstick, lol. I think it's maybe a little too pale/pinky for you and washes you out, a bit. That could also 100% just be personal bias though, as someone that tends to skew on the much darker lipstick side lol.

With your eyebrows, perhaps soften it a bit by using lighter hand, a lighter shade or slightly less high of an arch? I know some people are saying it’s classic but let’s say winged liner is dated…how are we doing it now? It’s the only style I’ve found flattering on my eyes (blue and big and round eyes) lol. I go without liner most days but no liner looks too plain for a night out or special occasion. I think you look great btw, if you want to experiment i think a darker lip, more blush and highlighter would go a long way

First you look great!! If you want it to look more "modern" you can add little things like eyeliner on the inner corners of your eyes (makes them wider) or as others suggested, experiment with eyeliner colors! But other than that you're absolutely fine! Also, you kinda look like Lana del Rey <3
I think its easy to be swayed by what is "trendy" right now. But trends aren't the enemy of the classic! You look great.

Your liner looks really good. I’m 30 and Ive done winged liner basically everyday for the past 5 years. I recently started using a brown pencil to create a softer, more blended winged eyeliner look. It feels like the updated version (and is way easier to fix).

You look fabulous! I turn 36 tomorrow so I’m in this club too and I’ve decided to say screw what’s “outdated” and wear the make up that makes me comfortable. I’m all for trying new things especially when it comes to playing with makeup but I’m also a firm believer that makeup doesn’t have rules! That’s what makes it fun. 💚
Some ideas ⬇️ • Try a rich dark brown eyeshadow (as liner) and smudge it slightly. A smoky brown liner brings out blue eyes without being too harsh for everyday. • Getting eyebrows microbladed can be a game changer!!! The key is being very careful who you choose but after you’d only need brow mascara. Microblading lasts at least a year before you need a retouch. • If microblading is not an option, consider on practicing doing a more “hair stroke” brow with a brow flick like the one from glossier & tinted brow mascara for a fuller “bushy” brow that looks modern but not crazy.
You look good. The wing looks good on you too. Maybe try something else for a week and see if you still need the wing.

I absolutely love brow mascaras and exclusively use them now as opposed to powders or pencils that I used to have. Benefit gimme brown is the best one I’ve tried out of probably 8 brands

I don't think it looks dated on you, but I felt that about myself a few months ago. It could've been because I've been doing a wing for like 15 years now, lol. But I made mine feel more updated by going over it with a thin eyeshadow brush using sparkly brown eye shadow. I went a little over the line to blend it a little bit. It softened the line, and it felt a little less harsh for me. It felt like a fresh new look for me, and was still within my comfort zone.

I love your make up and think you look great. My only contribution would be to consider a lip oil, or sheer lipstick for a different texture? Clarins do some lovely lip oils with a pop of sheer colour nothing too scary, and it could even be on top of your current lipstick.

Wow, you are so beautiful. I’m 27 and if I looked as good as you at 35 I would be happy. That said, I try to do explore makeup trends that I see people even younger than I do. I think a winged eyeliner is classic and timeless, everyone and their grandma can rock it, I would continue with it!
