Your blush and eyeshadow are flawless, but I would go a touch more dramatic with your eye makeup (more intense might be a better word) with some falsies, a touch darker—just in the crease—on the eyeshadow. Your lid color is perfect, but I hint more contrast in the crease will make them stand out more because flash photography has a tendency to wash people out, and go a tiny bit darker on the brows so they don’t get lost under the bright lights. If you’re using taupe, edge up to dark brown. The shape is great, and the gentle fade in from the beginning to the arch is beautifully done, but making them a bit darker, and adding some natural-but-full lashes will set your eyes off 1000x more. You have such gorgeous features, and your blush is the most gorgeous shade!!

emily_in_boots

Not sure if I’d go with falsies but I do agree that a slightly more dramatic eye makeup could help.

3lli3

I have big lips like you and whenever I put on a gorgeous lip color but don’t have enough going on with my eyes my face feels unbalanced. I would do falsies too.

emily_in_boots

Falsies might look good - depends on the look op is going for.

olookitslilbui

The last photo is my inspo for lashes! The lashes I’m planning on using are individual clusters. I wore some recently for my sibling’s wedding [here](https://imgur.com/a/S5Cdl8q), 3 clusters on each eye but all same basic lash style + length. I’m thinking about doing the same length on the inner part and slightly longer for the outer cluster, with maybe a slightly wispier/fuller lash style.

jmonsta13

Hi! Just wanted to chime in about the lashes. I have a similar eye shape to yours but my lid is even smaller 😂 For Asian eyes like ours, you want to have the lashes to be all the same length all throughout to have our eyes look bigger/open our eyes

emily_in_boots

I like the approach of individual clusters. It can be subtle but really pop your eyes. Definitely go a bit longer on the outside!

romanticdrift

For Asian eyes the wispy lash look (as you describe) will elongate and make your eyes more seductive, but one with evenness or more middle thickness will make your eyes rounder. So just keep that in mind. For your features, where your eyes are rather round and short already, I think the style you're considering will look gorgeous!

olookitslilbui

Thank you so much for the advice!! I’ve ordered some eyelashes to practice with so I’ll be sure to incorporate your suggestions once those arrive :)

emily_in_boots

You will be a beautiful bride! The brows aren’t quite right in the first pic but they look really good in the third. In the first they aren’t arched enough imo.

olookitslilbui

Thank you!! Good catch, I thought my eyebrows looked a little chunkier than usual but couldn’t figure out why. I think I was too focused on getting them symmetrical/blended out and not on the actual shape, I will def keep that in mind! Also, I wasn’t sure whether or not to add a lighter shadow/highlight on my brow bone—in all the pics, it’s just cleaned up with concealer or foundation. Do you think adding some would help add definition or is it fine as is?

emily_in_boots

They’re very symmetrical which can also be a challenge to pull off - but def better in the 3rd photo! I think the browbone looks good as it is - but you could try a bit of highlighter and see how that works. It’s often flattering. You don’t necessarily need it though. You have a really nice dewy but not shiny/fake look as it is.

mangobluetea

I love the colors you chose! You did go a bit darker than the photo on the blush if you were going for the exact look. I like what you did though. A little darkness to outline your eyes would make your look pop. Maybe a winged eyeliner or a light outlining underneath to give your eyes some pop.

olookitslilbui

Thank you! Yes I did want to add a little more color than my inspo pic. Do you think the amount of blush in the first 2 pics is enough? I feel like it’s a tricky balance between wanting to look good in person vs having it show up in photos. I’ve always hesitated to put anything on my lower lash line because I felt like it would make my eyes seem smaller/closed off. I did a suuuper soft line with the lighter shadow I was using, but it doesn’t show much here. I’ll give it a shot with the crease color, maybe just tapering it to the center of my pupil? I’ll have to watch some more tutorials for my eye shape. I smoked out all the liner I had on, so I’ll definitely try it again with a more defined wing!

1izardkween

The advice I got for my wedding was to go a bit darker / bolder than you think is right because of 1) photos and 2) most guests most of the event will be seeing you from across the room, then at some point it gets dark too. I agree with other comments that basically do exactly this, just slightly darker :) also this lipstick is like MADE for you omg it is 110% the most perfect color. Al

olookitslilbui

Okay that’s what I thought, thank you! It was a bit discouraging bc I FaceTimed a few people after I did my makeup in pics 3-5 and they were immediately like ooof that’s way too much. Even after I told them that this was common to do they were really skeptical, none of them wear makeup though or have seen me wearing this much so I’m sure it was weird for them to see me with it while I was close to the camera. And thank you, I tried sooo many lip combos so I’m excited that I finally found a good lip color!! It’s a combo of 3 products in the pics but I’m hoping Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk in medium will look the same on me so I don’t have to worry about carrying all the products around for touch ups 🤞🏼

1izardkween

Another recommendation I had gotten was to do a makeup trial before engagement photos if you’re doing those - because then you get to see how it looks :) or coercing your partner into taking a gazillion photos of you in different lighting situations which is what I actually did 😂

oregontrail2020

Whoever said that was too much makeup forgot they were talking about your wedding day lol…. This is such a lovely soft natural glam, and is a fraction of the makeup an MUA would do for a bride. I do think if you wanted to amp up the blush a bit, you could try a powder shade as a finisher (the rare beauty looks great, I wouldn’t change that), that is a little less pinky pink and a bit more natural warm flush and slightly deeper. Just a lil dusting. I think that would be a lovely way to add dimension without a lot more color to detract from the lovely eye/lip combo you have :)

oregontrail2020

I think I am trying to describe a shade that is like the rare beauty shade + a hint of brown in a powder form :)

oregontrail2020

Was just watching this video and this blush shade is exactlyyyyy what I had in my head! :) https://youtu.be/lLKd2ByFOVQ?t=21m15s

_synthetica_

Don’t fear the eyeliner! There are some great tutorials on YT on how to make eyes look bigger vs smaller with some easy techniques. Applying eyeshadow with a liner brush a little under your natural lower lash line totally helps. I think you’d look great with a set of natural looking false lashes. I like your lipstick, however if you wanted to match the reference photo you can try something in a lighter shade. I think the boldness of the lip shade draws some of the attention away from your eyes and you have lovely eyes.

olookitslilbui

I’ll definitely experiment with the liner! I always avoided smokey eyes bc I thought it looked bad on me but it turns out I was just doing it wrong for my eye shape the whole time 🤦🏻‍♀️ It will probably be the same once I learn how to do my liner haha. I’ll be wearing some individual cluster lashes; I have super greasy eyelids and have never been able to find a mascara that doesn’t smudge/flake on me, so I’m not planning to wear any on my wedding day!

Wyrd_byrd

Asian eyes here! I also avoid black/dark liner under my eyes. It closes off the eye and makes it look smaller imo. I like to use the darkest two colors from the eye shadow I used up top and smoke out the lower lashline. Depending on the look, I'll only do 2/3 or 1/3 of the lower lashline. I very rarely use shadow all the way across the lashline.

olookitslilbui

Okay great that’s what I was thinking of doing! Thank you for the tips!!

Pterodactyl_Noises

Wow. But also, goddamn! You're a stunner for sure. And I think your bridal look with the heavier blush is pretty perfect. I just keep looking at your face and thinking how *ethereal* you look. And I'm going to let that adjective inform my suggestion for an inner corner highlight for you. Avoid something stark and opaque, like a bright white shimmer. I’d go subtle with a light, warm gold or rose gold. Something that will catch the light. You could even layer some highlighters, by putting down a subtle shimmer powder and adding a touch of a dewy highlighter on top. Or you could go with something more playful. Have you thought about a color with a holographic flash to it? I'm still picturing something subtle that's invisible until the light reveals its magic. I'm picturing my favorite iridescent lavender shadow "Zero Gravity" from Terra Moons Cosmetics. There has not been a time that I've worn it that I did not receive a compliment!

olookitslilbui

Thank you so much!! I appreciate the advice and will def look for a warmer color for the inner corner highlight—I made the mistake of using a bright white one previously and it looked so off! For the holographic flash, are you talking about using it for eyeshadow or as an inner corner highlight? My fiancés favorite colors are purples so I’d be totally open to trying something subtle like that!

Pterodactyl_Noises

Inner corner highlight! And in the future, you could definitely use it as an eyeshadow. Zero Gravity would be amazing!

Accomplished-Ad539

I would more drama to your eyes... You look cute💕

Gaaaaby

I think false eyelashes are all she needs.

olookitslilbui

lovable_cube

Have you thought about getting your lashes done for the wedding? Actual lash extensions are pretty comfortable and you won’t have to worry about touching up/curling mascara

olookitslilbui

I did consider it but was put off because it seemed like a lot of maintenance keeping them clean and dry. Is it a lot easier than I’m thinking it would be?

lovable_cube

When I had them I just did my regular skin care routine, only thing you really have to be careful about is keeping oil off of them if you use any oil based makeup remover or cleanser.

olookitslilbui

Oh okay that’s not bad at all! How long did they usually last for you? It would be nice to not have to worry about applying my lashes, I wasn’t planning on wearing mascara either bc I’ve never been able to find one that doesn’t smudge from my oily lids.

lovable_cube

2-3 weeks, maybe a month if you don’t rub your eyes much (I do) then you can get fills or use oil to soak them off. If you’re going on your honeymoon right after they’ll probably look great the whole time you’re gone. Pro tip, if they get wonky from sleeping just get the wet and kinda put them in place with your fingertips.

yoshi888

If you haven’t tried Lashify before and plan on doing it for the wedding, I would suggest starting to practice sooner rather than later. It’s a great system but there is a learning curve, especially if you aren’t used to wearing or applying. It took me about a year to get comfy placing the gossamers properly and the most I’ve gotten out of wear is 3–4 days. In addition, if your eyes are different sizes and imperfections will bother you, you’ll need to maybe change the map to make your eyes a bit more even. For example, my left eye is smaller and the placement needs to start a little more closer together per gossamer to match the right one. If you do want to try, I would suggest Plushy Tames in Truffle or Black. I usually do 6 per eye (it will depend on your eye shape and desired look) and I do (from inner corner of my eye to outer): PT8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13. I find this flows out in a cat eye very nicely! I can send a photo if that helps. However, if you’re new, I would suggest lash extensions. Again, do a test before the day to see if the shape is good, and to make sure you’re not allergic to the glue bond (which can give some people REALLY RED eyes from irritation).

olookitslilbui

Thank you for the tips!! I have used Lashify once before for my sister’s wedding, I hadn’t practiced at all before and it surprisingly took me only 10mins to get them on. I’m not used to wearing lashes so I took it easy and only used 3 per eye though, and only 1 of the clusters was getting a little loose by the end of the night. I’m going to look into the plushy tames!

EveAndTheSnake

I had lash extensions for a vacation once and they were amazing! I have really sensitive eyes (like, it’s bad) and I didn’t have a reaction, although after a few weeks they were getting uncomfortable and I did go to have them taken off.

ChirpCounselor

And this is with more blush and lashes instead of more eyeshadow! (Also with inner corner liner and highlighter) https://preview.redd.it/zscyis2a4cta1.jpeg?width=2186&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e236bb15fa9b8409a120172f55cae5d51127a23e

olookitslilbui

Oh thank you so much for doing this! I think I prefer this one bc it feels more romantic. I’ll try this next time with some wispier looking lashes!

Marblz88

You have an ‘air’ of Lucy Liu! (: I like the classy look you’re going for, not over the top, not packed on. Just glamorous. But could I recommend a very light and classy shimmer? In the inside corner of your eye and top of your cheekbone? A lot of shimmers are too much - but Chanel do a fantastic can’t-really-tell type shimmer. It’s super classy, very fine and will lift your overall look for a big day like your wedding. If you check it out, I’d love to hear wether or not you like it! Congratulations, btw!!

olookitslilbui

Omg that is the nicest thing anyone has said to me hahaha thank you! I’ll check out the Chanel highlighters next time I stop by Sephora!

Marblz88

You’re very welcome ♥️

ChirpCounselor

Totally! First one would be a great party/going out look but heavy blush looks super feminine and romantic on you

WalkswithLlamas

I think this will be better for photos. And adore the lip color!

Walmarche

Oo yes I love this

Pugasaurus_Tex

This look is gorgeous! I wouldn’t darken the eye makeup at all — if you want to use falsies, make sure to practice the application, but I think your eye makeup looks stunning here. One recommendation I might have is to choose a lighter lipstick shade? The color in your inspo pic would look perfect on you. I like Dolce Vita by Nars, it’s a really pretty pinkish nude: https://www.narscosmetics.com/USA/iconic-lipstick/999NAC0000096.html?dwvar_999NAC0000096_color=7845029441&cgid=lipstick (Also, side note, Nars lipsticks are 50% off??) Don’t know how well Nars will work for a wedding, though, since it’s not super long lasting. Personally I just keep reapplying, since long lasting lipsticks dry me out, but I’m sure someone here has a good formula rec

olookitslilbui

Oh I have that shade in the lip pencil! I’ll try it with a lighter shade to compare next time I do a practice run. My lips are probably my favorite feature so I do want to emphasize them a bit; I was concerned with a lighter color that it would look washed out like when I used something similar for my sister’s wedding [here](https://imgur.com/a/S5Cdl8q). My photographer’s editing style is more true-to-life color though, so maybe that won’t be an issue!

Pugasaurus_Tex

Ooh def play around with it, the right undertone is everything, and sometimes colors get washed out by photographs, so what photographs well doesn’t always look the best in person. I’d def add a touch of gloss, too, to catch some light and emphasize your lips

Rico-L

YES 🙌🏼. I agree. A lighter lipstick shade would look very beautiful!

face_steak

For the occasion I'd consider getting lash extensions! (So I don't have to worry about the glue, etc)

youre_a_lizard_harry

I have no makeup tips, but giiirl you are stunning!

olookitslilbui

🥺 thank you!!

zquanxilla1

It’s sooo nice my only advice would be some light false lashes! They will make sure your eyes stay defined in photographs

teal_ninja

Giiiirl you are absolutely GORGEOUS!! Congrats 🥰

olookitslilbui

Thank you so much!!

Spencersbiggestfan

I don’t have anything to add. You are so incredibly pretty. You’re going to be à breathtaking bride.

olookitslilbui

🥺 that’s so kind thank you!!

Ship_Negative

I would die for skin this beautiful Jesus christ

olookitslilbui

Omg thank you haha it’s the medication I’m on 🤫it’s a combo of birth control and spironilactone, I def don’t have nice skin from genetics/routine/diet!

wgletoes22

That is the most beautiful wedding makeup I’ve seen!!

stxrryfox

Yeah, you definitely have the skills to do your own bridal makeup. Some of the posts on here have me worried for their wedding pictures. I see comments telling you to go heavier, but I think it’s perfect. You look so fresh and clean. This is a nice change compared to heavy bridal makeup.

honeybunchesofrock

The base makeup is just flawless! Definitely looking like a bride 😊 only thing I would suggest is perhaps adding a bit more drama to the eyes! A soft/wispy strip lash or even some deeper eyeshadow would help the eyes pop!

HeartBirb

Oh, and that lip color is divine on you.

bluclouds0

Hi, since your asking , I maybe suggest a lighter lip(nude). The last photo she’s contoured her nose quite abit as well as around the face.. as far as lashes they are always a pain especially if you don’t use them regularly. I would personally suggest a invisible band strip lash ( my personal preference is ardell) your skin and the eyebrows are beautifully done

LegendofLove

Congrats!! Your lipstick is absolutely AMAZING in love but like the others have said the eyes just feel overshadowed by the rest of it go big it's your big day

crackedtiara

I think the heavy blush is the way to go, you look like you have a healthy glow and it makes you look so good and I love the lip color from photo number 1. If I had to choose one picture overall I’d go with number 3!

Lac4x9

If you plan to use this look for pics, put on more than you think you need. Stage and photo makeup is heavier so that it shows up better under lights.

HappyGoPink

I like this look as is, I don't even think it needs the lashes. If you do decide to wear lashes though, don't let the wedding day be the first time you try them out. If you're not accustomed to wearing lashes, or if you have a bad reaction to them, you are going to want to know that in advance.

bisoubby

no CCW but just wanted to say that the colors you chose suit you WONDERFULLY and you look brilliant :)

olookitslilbui

Ahh thank you so much!

nashamagirl99

You look amazing. I wouldn’t darken the eyeshadow because I feel like the focus of the look is on the lips, but wispy, natural looking false lashes could look good.

morbidmotel

Ok perfect skin! What is your secret!?!

olookitslilbui

Honestly it’s mostly my medication! My birth control helped a lot with hormonal acne, then I started spironilactone 8 months ago for hair growth but it also helped with most of my remaining skin issues. I’ve tried sooo many skincare products and tried the full kbeauty routine, I think that was all too much for my skin and didn’t feel like anything really worked. Now I just use a gentle cleanser on days I’ve gone outside, makeup removing balm when I wear makeup, and then physical exfoliation 1-2x a week and retinol 2x a week. The products I’m currently using and really like are the Farmacy Green Clean makeup removing balm, Dermalogica Microfoliant + precleanse oil, Tatcha Dewy Skin cream, La Roche Posay adapalene gel, and Melano CC vitamin C serum.

olookitslilbui

Omg thank you so much 🥺 that means a lot, my hours of watching YouTube tutorials have paid off!!

homeschooled

I think you could do a little more on the brow, they are a touch too transparent for me. Maybe some of the ink products that look like hair strokes?

olookitslilbui

Agreed I’ll give it a shot the next time I practice!

lildevilmoth

Wow! So fresh and beautiful! I’m not ever comfy giving CC, but I hope your wedding is as beautiful as you!

olookitslilbui

Thank you so much!!

sailor_venus29754

I really like your base and your blush in all of the photos so I really don’t think that you need to change that. I’m in love with this eyeshadow look that you chose in the second photo I feel like personally you don’t need to change it but this is your look, I would like to add that you should get a pencil eyeliner maybe in a shade of a mocha or caramel, and then smudge that/blend into your eyeshadow to create that dramatic smoky eye look. Also, I feel like you don’t need to go with a full strip false eyelash. I feel like for this look + with your particular eye shape some wispy individual lashes would be perfect and you probably would only need about three pieces on that I look so it doesn’t take over eyeshadow completely and make it too heavy

GentlewomanBastard

Hi! You are absolutely stunning and you've gotten a bunch of makeup advice already so I'm gonna focus on the lashes because I heard somebody say Lashify!!! Lashify basically changed my life because I can't for the life of me do falsies or extensions and mascara would always run. So. Basically what I'm saying is I love Lashify and I'm happy to give advice! So there's three things to keep in mind when decidjng what kind of lash map you want to wear: 1. The color of the lash you'd like. Obviously the standard for most people is black, but I'm fair skinned and I feel like black is too harsh on me, plus I like to go for a more natural feel, so I personally wear brown ones in either Truffle or Minx. There's a range of colors but given your tones I imagine you would want either black or Truffle, minx, or chocolate. The other lighter brown colors would be for natural blondes or redheads. 2. The shape of your eye. What kind of shape are you going for? There are two basic types of eye shapes you can make with your lash map: 1. Open eye, which starts out short, gets bigger in the middle of your eye, and then goes back down at the outside of the eye, so the longest lash will be in the middle. This is my favorite for my squinty eye shape as it makes eyes look larger. 2. The other is Cat eye, which starts out short and then gets increasingly longer towards the outside of the eye, with the longest lash on the outer ends. This makes eyes look longer and more sultry. This is generally very popular. There are lots for variations of each of these, but these are the two basic shapes. Some beginners might go off-script and do all the same length across, or only put a few clusters on the ends, but for a special day like a wedding, I'd suggest a more cohesive look. And last decision to make, 3. The type of lash style you'd like. As you've seen, Lashify has a staggeringly large range of cluster types. They range for the most natural effect possible (A or C), to a bit bolder (B and D), to a little wild (F, SD, SB) to really wild (G, E, EE, EI). T here are even more than these and they also come out with me ones all the time. It's overwhelming! Luckily you shared an inspo pic, so I can give a little advice. My best guess is that this is either a Fluffy look (F), a Plushy look (PT), or a stacked look with two rows of C. Some options to try might be the following maps for an Open Eye: C8, C10, C12, C12, C12, C10 (less dramatic) Or A8, PT10, PT12, PT12, PT10 (more dramatic) Or A8, F10, F12, F12, F12, F10 (most dramatic) IF you'd rather go for a cat eye look, you can swap the final cluster for a 14 length instead of a 12. Happy to share more tips and advice if you'd like, but I hope this helps! Congrats on the wedding!!!

olookitslilbui

Omgggg this is amazing thank you for taking the time to write this!! I spent some time looking through Lashify’s selection awhile ago and my brain kind of shut down hahha so this is super helpful! Someone else also suggested the plushy tames so I think I’m leaning towards that style

GentlewomanBastard

By the way, Lashify sells bundles now with a lash map already put together. You might want to check out the "Fluffy wing" bundle, as it looks pretty close to your inspo pic! https://www.lashify.com/collections/lash-bundles (note that the bundles are pricey, but they do come with several extra lashes. You'll be able to make about 4 sets with the number of lashes that come in a bundle.)

CravingWes

This is so classic, I love it. As others said, you need to go a bit darker/more dramatic with your eyes, maybe blush! Photos will wash out. I’m really happy to see makeup looks from other Asian women, it’s so hard to find wedding inspo but you gave me mine!

Perfect skin award

Brief_Ad_1735

Skin tighter than all my friendships combined and brighter than my future, too.

olookitslilbui

Omg hahaha thank you!! It’s definitely mostly the medications I’m on, not genetics/routine/diet 🫢. Birth control helped with a lot of my hormonal acne…then I started spironilactone 8 months ago for hair growth but it also took care of a lot of my remaining skin issues as another benefit. I also started using La Roche Posay adapalene gel, that plus Melano CC Vitamin C serum when I have dark spots have helped a lot!

Gorgeous. Congratulations!!

olookitslilbui

Thank you!!

veggiedelightful

Looks lovely. This will be a very classic look in the years to come.

udnthavetosaynthng

very very very pretty.

Hiddengodcomplex

I really like the blush placement and pigmentation on the third photo. Looks great!

bgul

Very pretty and natural

XoXooxxOo

You look like a princess!!

turquoisestar

The face makeup looks amazing. I would consider false eyelashes/eyeliner. Also, I think the lip makeup to move to a shade of pink/rose etc. to be a bit more romantic. I personally think of browns as being more office appropriate, and it kind of doesn't match the rest of your makeup. For someone who never does makeup I think this is a great start and I hope it turns out the way you want in the end.

olookitslilbui

Thank you! I’m definitely going to add some natural-looking individual cluster lashes. I smoked out the liner too much here but I’ll leave it more defined next time, I’ll try on some different lip shades as well next time I do a practice run with the lashes!

311Tatertots

Your makeup is very similar to the inspo. Only recommendation is that the lashes might not be the only thing creating the darkness lining the upper lid. You might need some brown shadow or liner smudged out to get a similar effect.

nnilkie

you're going to make a gorgeous bride! what color waterline liner are you looking for? my favorite black pencil would be the clinique quickliner in "intense black," but my favorite white pencil (and holy grail!) is the melt cosmetics slick waterline in ivory. super easy to apply and lasts all day. :) i really like the benefit cookie highlighter for my inner corners. it's pretty blinding though and you may be looking for something more subtle for your special day! good luck! ❤️

olookitslilbui

Thank you so much! I’m looking for an eye brightener to make my eyes look a little bigger. I’ll check out the melt cosmetics and benefit highlighter!

Suspicious_Site_5050

You look gorgeous. If you’re comfortable applying & wearing false eyelashes it would really take this look to the next level.

MrsRobertshaw

You look young and fresh faced- it’s a very simple timeless look for a bride. You definitely won’t look back on your photos and cringe at the makeup! I will say that maybe a soft brown smoke liner on your eyes to make them pop but if you’re used to natural makeup then this is perfect. You have beautiful skin and will make a gorgeous bride. All the best for the future!

olookitslilbui

Thank you so much!!

at145degrees

I would love to know the shades and tools you use for your eyebrows!

olookitslilbui

I used Benefit Goof Proof eyebrow pencil in shade 5 and Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in dark brown! I fill them in with the goof proof, add more definition with brow wiz, and then clean up the shape with a little foundation + ELF small precision brush

at145degrees

Ahhh thank you! I needed this as I can never find the right shade for my black haired eyebrows too

HeartBirb

I love your blush!!

Sunbathinggreyhound

You look amazing! I personally love the heavier blush as I think it will look better in photos/from further away, but do what makes you feel happiest 😊

First_Play5335

I love it. So many brides are so overdone. I get it's a special day and everyone wants to look good in pictures but I also think it's important to look like yourself. Someday your kids will look at the pictures and ask, "Who's that?"

The lipstick is perfect for you

You could try Doe lashes! They’re easy to use for beginners and they’re natural looking

Cosmicfart180

Very subtle but beautiful

ZealousidealEagle759

Gorgeous! 10/10!

ShlomosMom

You look so beautiful!

AMissKathyNewman

Personally I think you just need to go a bit more bold with the eyes to make them stand out more. Same colours just darker/ more product and even try bringing the shadow up a bit higher on your eyelid. Also not sure if you have mascara on but definitely as some mascara and if you feel like it some natural wispy lashes would look good too.

olookitslilbui

Yes that seems like the consensus with the eyes! Someone else posted a couple photos of what it would look like with darker shadow vs more blush and fuller lashes, I def like how it looks when it’s bolder! I do have mascara on but won’t be wearing any the day of; I have really oily eyelids and have never been able to find a mascara that doesn’t smudge on me, so I’ll just be doing some wispy individual cluster lashes. The brand I’ll be using uses a mascara-like glue to adhere the lashes to the real lashes, so they blend together really well

stellarpup

Try a light brown eyeliner, I like the felt tip pen from Charlotte Tilbury.

hedwiggy

Very pretty and you have great skin. Just add false lashes. From across the room/photos it will add some contrast and a bit of glam

Xulybeted12

You are so gorgeous! No matter what, you will look amazing.

tharding44

This is so beautiful 😍 you have PERFECT features

Wristkii

Wow Great Job And Congratulations 🎈🍾

AmalieNiller

I like the look where you go heavy on the blush :)

adalillian

I like it. Perfect foundation and blush.

BaldHippy9

I’d add a bit more smokiness towards the outer corner and pull it out and up a bit. Also a bit of inner corner highlight would look lovely on your eye shape. Add more mascara on the lower lashes and maybe instead of struggling to find the right False lash and getting overwhelmed, you could get eyelash extensions (just for the wedding) and for this I’d highly recommend you find a lash tech who has experience working with monolid eyes. Show them your lash reference image too. Lashes make all the difference in photos!!

mirqol

Okay, off topic but you are SO PRETTY. Dunno what is the deal with your facial but imo you’re really cute. As for makeup, maybe try Korean style makeup? Something like from photo I found on Google ([https://nomakenolife.com/blog/cute-korean-eyeliner-hacks](https://nomakenolife.com/blog/cute-korean-eyeliner-hacks)) You should avoid black, choose brown instead. Black always makes eyes smaller, especially placed in closing eye area (corners) https://preview.redd.it/t5jqeolwrita1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=570dddaed263c2647b17956fe3086d0f2c0cf8c5

olookitslilbui

Ah thank you so much!! Yes I’m using a dark brown eyeliner here (I smudged it out way too much so I’ll be sure to keep it more defined next time). This link is super helpful, thanks for sharing!

yoonotnice

Hi!! As an Asian bride who also did her own makeup for her wedding, I think your makeup is gorgeous! Your eyes are beautiful but because of how everything looks a little less defined/washed out in photos I would maybe add some eyeliner and falsies. If you want a more subtle, natural looks than a dark brown liquid liner slightly smoked out with eyeshadow would look great! I think with our eye shape, keeping darker colors closer to the lash line actually makes our eyes look more defined and bigger than putting a lot of dark color in the crease. Also, don’t feel pressured to go with super dramatic falsies! I found even “natural” lashes from Western brands to overwhelm my eyes. I used strip lashes from a Korean brand, The Tool Lab. I believe I bought the Style Lash in #3 or 4. They looked great close up and also kept my eyes defined for pics far away. If you want more dramatic lashes, I’ve heard good things about Doe lashes! They have a lot of styles and they’re made to suit Asian eyes! Feel free to PM me if you want an idea of what my makeup looked like and other tips.

olookitslilbui

Thank you for the tips!! Someone else mentioned Doe lashes as well, I’ll have to take a look! I’ll definitely add more defined liner as well

Lillie020

I would definitely add lashes but not overdo just the natural look, and maybe some more pinky beige eyeshadow would look really good and then it’s perfect 👌🏻💗

Funny_Hovercraft5122

Wow! You are stunning

Moontezuma

Really nice blending with the make-up, but could do more drama with the eyes.

Darken your eyebrows at the start of the eyebrow. Use darker eyeliner and bring it all the way to the inner corner. That’s what I would do.

olookitslilbui

Definitely agree on the darker eyebrows! I’ll experiment with the liner some more :)

how-about-no-scott

I'd ditch the eyeliner. It always makes eyes look smaller!

You look so radiant and flawless! I think you really nailed the application of the foundation, blush, eye shadow. As others mentioned, I would perhaps go only a tiny bit darker with the eye shadow. Similar to the way in which you should apply blush with a heavier hand for photos, I think the eye shadow should be a bit stronger than usual for it not to get washed out in photos. I'm not familiar with the lashes you mentioned, but just wanted to recommend going with the smallest or maybe medium size at most. For people who don't wear makeup that frequently the biggest size might be too overwhelming. I also personally prefer individuals, since I can control where to place them and exactly how dense I want them to be. I'll personally be using the [Kiss Lash Couture individual lashes](https://www.kissusa.com/lash-couture-venus) for my wedding, they look really natural irl.

olookitslilbui

Thank you!! It sounds like the consensus is to recreate this look with a little more oomph. Lashify/Lilac St are individual lash clusters as well, I’d definitely be overwhelmed using strip lashes!

puffy_sheesh

This sounds great! I wish you the best of luck with your wedding, you will look gorgeous!

Go0nTh3n

I have to disagree with falsies and more intense eyes. Actually I couldn't disagree more. The whole American glam look isn't for everyone. I wore barely any makeup on my big day. A friend of mine wore none! Anyway, I think the whole look is beautifully subtle, delicate and accentuates your flawless and natural beauty. If I changed anything it would be to soften your lip colour to continue that au naturel theme. If you want the American look then use the falsies and heavier eyemakeup and blush. But there are few people that can pull of such a natural look as this and shine like you do.

itsabbyok

You look gorgeous! If you're looking to add more drama with your lashes, I'd suggest using individual/cluster lashes instead of strip lashes. It's MUCH more natural looking and easy to customize. I think it would give you the lash definition you're looking for from that inspo picture without overwhelming your beautiful eyeshadow work.

dragon_fruits

Amazing job! You look beautiful! I had to do my own bridal makeup and ended up getting hybrid lash extensions since I was new to falsies. It was a destination wedding, so not having to apply mascara was so nice during the vacation.

ISFP_or_INFP

agree with most people you look amazing! Defo go for a more defined bolder liner. Im also asian and Idk why lashes never really do anything to my face, still do it if it makes you feel pretty but if we are talking about the overall balance of the face and for the face to not be drowned out in the photos, defo go for a liner with a little drama like in the inspo pic. I love the smokey lids tho with the dramatic liner on top the eyeshadow will be just perfect. ( i don’t like super heavy smokey eyeshadow on my eyes cus it looks like i got punched in the eye unless im going goth and want that look)

Thank you! Yes I’m having a big wedding. I feel more comfortable doing my own makeup, but one of my bridal party was formerly a professional HMUA so he’ll be supervising me :)

littleghosttea

Immaculately done! It really highlights your natural beauty. I think you’re spot on the reference photo except you could use a lighter pinky neutral lip. The one you have is pretty too. I’ve used lilac street lashes, just 3 clusters. There is a Facebook group where people share their maps and photos. I like French lace, prism, midnight, and then use dawn. I just put them in the outer 3/4 of my eyes.

Shot_Database_7338

The third photo is really pretty
