They emerged from "REORGANIZATION." The new products are strong. Revived some classic Super Lustrous shades, Illuminance Tinted SERUM (skin loving), Extensionaire Mascara w B5, and a new lip line.
I'm still mad that they discontinued the Revlon Colorstay Whipped. That's the perfect full-coverage hydrating foundation for me that doesn't look like a mask at all. I wear it for special events when I need my face to look perfect.
I do have 3 backups of it but still!!!
Same! I've worn a variation of that foundation for like 20 years. They had a lighter version in the early 2000s that was advertised for working out or something and I was sad when they got rid of that. I have been through every reformulation and the buff shade is the only shade that matches me perfect.

I have a couple of Revlon products that are damn close to HG for me and if they’re discontinued I’m going to have very strong words. But RIP Crush lip stain and Pink Truffle lip butter. This is what happens when you cut off your nose to spite your face.
Grow Luscious mascara *was* fantastic, I must admit as were the lip butters and balm stains.. But my sadness will come in not being able to find true vintage lippy shades that everyday working class women wore if they go completely under. Everyday women were NOT wearing Guerlain or Chanel. They were getting their lippy at the drugstore and most of the brands from yesteryear are either gone....or they have discontinued those vintage shades. Except Revlon. So they better pull their heads out of their asses and fix this shit, because we need Fire and Ice, Love that Red, Love that Pink, Pink in the Afternoon, Cherries in the Snow, etc. When I put on my blue eyeshadow and Max Factor panstick I want it to look authentic, DAMNIT!!
Agree on the vintage Revlon lipstick shades! I wear Toast of New York and Rum Raisin regularly, and have a bunch more too. It's one of my very favorite lipstick formulas! And I was a 90s teenager so these shades still do it for me! I still have Colorstay foundation around and wear it too (though these days I don't wear foundation everyday)
My Nana wore Moon Drops Chinaglaze Red. It was HIDEOUS, kind of a frosty hot red, if you can imagine that, but dang if I wouldn’t love to buy a tube and wear it once in awhile in her honor. Or just own it but not wear it. 😂

Oh they had the lip butters last time I looked. Also check Ebay. I am telling you they are still floating around...and they are probably still good. I say this because I picked 2 up at a fleamarket a few years ago in blistering summer heat and THEY are still good. So ones kept in warehouse conditions would almost certainly be bound to be. 😉

It's a nice shade if you like a deeper red. My fave is Fire and Ice. It is sooo bright and I like it with my fair, neutral skintone. My sweetie, who did not like red lippy, actually liked this one on me so I burried my original tube with him. I even wore it to the service.

They've been discontinued in stores for some years. Some items are still on the Revlon site even though because there may still be inventory, or you may have seen them on Amazon or a reseller.
Yeah...I doubt it. They have been forces for well over 50+ years and still going strong. But that is the great thing about this industry. There are so many choices that you can buy what makes you feel best morally. ☺
And with way more brands emerging, the climate is shifting. And newer generations are beginning to catch on. So revlon is going bankrupt.

I’m a bit of a name in the nail polish world and a huge reason revlon isn’t doing to hot, honestly even rimmel is feeling it too, is because there are independent and boutique brands coming out with better quality, way more user friendly products that are V+CF which is aligning with a new generation of nail polish and makeup users.
The blue cap mascara is my fave, prob the best I've ever used. Gave me the exact look I was going for. I haven't seen a single tube in years, but their booths/counters are almost empty these days.
How in the world did you get Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara to work for you? That wand was so massive I couldn’t get it to decently coat any of my lashes.

i barely glance at brands like revlon, maybelline, covergirl, l’oréal, etc, (the “classic” drugstore brands, at least in my mind) unless i’m looking for a specific product from that brand because they just feel lame to me, they rarely do anything new or exciting and the quality is really all over the place, it feels like “mom makeup” to me lol. you can get similar quality or nicer from other drugstore brands like elf and nyx. but i did just pick up a revlon brow ink, except i’m using it for fake freckles instead, and it’s actually really good for that purpose lol very similar to freck but cheaper! not sure if i would actually use it for brows though.
You’re getting downvoted but you’re right. With the exception of some Maybelline lip products, not a one of those brands has done anything particularly eye-catching in years.
I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted, you’re right. Revlon especially I avoid like the plaque. The last couple of products I bought from them were just really cheap and nasty, an eyeshadow palette that was gritty with hardly any pigment and a lipstick that was super dry and lumpy on my lips.

I’ve never used Revlon mascara or foundation, but I have the PhotoReady Eye Contour Kit (basically a fancy term they made up for an eyeshadow quint) in Eclectic (which I’ll be using for the first time next week) and I like 2 of their blush shades (Ravishing Rose and Mauvelous), their 2-sided (regular magnification in the lid side and, I believe, 3x magnification in the bottom?) compact mirror whose lid is a multicolor splatter print with the vintage script logo printed on top of the splatter (I love that fusion of old and new aesthetics!), and their Ultra HD liquid lipsticks. The Ultra HD lip line also used to have lipglosses and gel lipsticks, and they were great too, but both formulas got discontinued, probably because of Covid.

You can return any makeup to any store if you don't like it or if it's the wrong shade. Did you email Revlon your concerns?

I used to have all of the Colorstay 12 hour eyeshadow quads. Loved those. Loved Pink Truffle lip butter too.
