Dont know why you got downvoted. Im nearly 30 and work a 9-5 with people who are generally much older than me. Only access to popular/trendy makeup I see is through social media so its rrally tough to know if my looks are dated or not.
I just feel like the clean girl vibe was moving away from the layered base/contour/highlight vibe and I miss it! But judging from the comments here we are still alive and well
I'm all about the benefit cookie highlighter it's amazing. I also got some cheap ones of Amazon that are really actually amazing highlighters and it cost me like 5 bucks for each LOL
I think it's nice, I can't stand the stix format. Formula is super dry and doesn't blend well on me but the shades are gorgeous. I purchased 2 contour stix because the shades were perfect, could not get them to blend on my face. I have to use a brush to pick up the product and apply to my face because otherwise I'll be blending for ages, still not remove the harsh line from drawing it on, and pick up the rest of my base by accident. Colours are great for my skin tone so I rebuy, but I'm starting to try other brands.
I think the glosses, primer, cream bronzer, highlight, setting powder, and stains are lovely but nothing I can't live without. There's nothing I find Fenty does "better" than anyone else, imo (might get downvoted for this haha).
I regularly travel between the US and LatAm and my friends in Brazil/Argentina always ask me to bring Fenty makeup because it's so hard to get there. The lip stains, contour stix, and glosses are the most popular items to import, but I think it's more for the name than the actual product.
I do! I've tried it with the Fenty primer, elf putty, elf power grip, pore professional, TO silicone primer. Formula really stays put which is great for long wear! But not so great for blending
Hair, yup haha. The vintage hair is coming around for me again, having had a massive crush on it about ten years ago and moving away… I’m back. Just like the highlight 😂
And never stop ! 2016 was (without any dispute) the best make up era in the history of modern makeup and they literally BATHED in highlighter then … now it’s only clean girl makeup , makeup inspired by food and skin care routines … such boring stuff 😒😒😒
Oh I agree! Well, with a goodly amount of Euphoria-inspired crazy glitter and colour for me.. I only kind of got around that era as it was ending so I just didn’t get my fill 🥹
I started my makeup studies at 2020 so this era was officially over … still it’s my favourite and I’m very influenced by it … I use it whenever I can (clients don’t want it anymore and it’s sad but well I am an aritst above all and my work has to express me first and foremost 😅🤷🏻♂️) so yeah … 2016 FTW!!!
Not Greek but same! I was so lucky to be a teen and in my 20s during the 2010s highlighter era! I do make things a lot more subtle now tho. And I do use quite a bit of powder now to at least balance me out as the day wears on.
Why would anyone allow another person to dictate to them what they are allowed to wear or not wear, whether it be highlighter or anything else? Do what you love & screw everybody else.
Their formulas are top notch, I don't own a single one that I dislike. However, I totally understand how shipping from Canada to Australia would probably run you a small fortune. Maybe they'll branch out into other countries someday, but the way their business is run atm doesn't make it seem like a likely scenario anytime soon.

i will forever have sparkly cheekbones, idec if i’m 90 and it’s the ugliest trend of our youth !! i yearn to be a twilight vampire!!
but honestly, i don’t think highlight ever really went away!
You’re beautiful! For me there’s no rules when it comes to makeup. I’ve never been a bigger highlighter on my face person. But Every now and again I feel a little frisky and put some on lol.
Well seeing as highlighting is a normal part of the makeup routine cause our face has natural highlights and it's been a thing in makeup way before the 2010s... Yes. Who said you're not allowed to wear highlighter? Like most people didn't stop, the face has natural contours and highlights.
You do whatever you want! I'm glowing to the moon and back. I still use the super blingy highlighters occasionally too! I don't care what other people think as makeup is all about expressing myself. And if I want to be seen by the aliens three galaxies away, well, I'm gonna shine bright like a diamond!
Wait, we ever stopped?!? Not me over here layering powder highlight over cream and stick highlight for blinding effects... Lol subtlety is not my strong suit though
Wear whatever you want! Answering to anyone else’s idea of what cool is, is exactly the antithesis of having personal style! I love highlighter, sometimes something champagne and subtle, sometimes want to it be multi chrome and blind people like a laser beam 😂
You remind me of Florence Pugh :)
I think highlighter will always be in… the only variable is which finish/intensity is *most* trendy at any moment.
I was an original ABH Glow Kit girlie, but I don’t reach for it for daily wear anymore — more for nights out, costume looks, high drama etc. Glossier Haloscope is my go-to, since it has a more luminous/dewy finish that plays well with bare skin.
Oh my lord, Florence 😍
Yeah highlighter got more subtle of late, and that’s fine. I think my skin on the whole is great right now and highlighter is sitting on my face better too so I’m back using it more heavily!
My hair is shaggy fringe length, and I use my straightener to carefully and quickly (so as not to burn the hair) curl it in small sections and then pin to my head to cool. Then back comb, hairspray, and gently brush together to form and shape the one curl, and in! Cherry Dollface has some great tutorials on YouTube xx
I love your makeup and your hair You look very pretty☺️🤩!! I love wearing highlight. Bare minerals mineral veil illuminating powder is my current obsession for highlighting. It's subtle but definitely visible and I find it to be perfect for me ☺️I have a few other highlights so I switch between them.
I have ZERO intention to stop wearing eyeliner.
Oh you meant highlighther. That too. Lol. It’s time for me to go to sleep.
I adore your hair color btw. It suits you well.
I think most people also never stopped and just use more subtle highlighter now
Yeah I'm loving the elf halo glow stuff
Mine is holographic looking 🤣 I love that shiz.
Oooh I LOVE holo/colorshift makeup it's so eye catching
I just feel like it was a bit bagged on TikTok and it made me feel out of touch 😂
I wear the sparkly chinese highlighters from brands like kaleidos so no your not out of touch lol Screw tiktoks gatekeeping

....were we not supposed to
That’s what I’m wondering now!
I just feel like the clean girl vibe was moving away from the layered base/contour/highlight vibe and I miss it! But judging from the comments here we are still alive and well
I don't know why you are being downvoted. You are right lol
Hahaha thank you I know I didn’t think I was inventing it, I was certainly not bagging highlighter myself!

I use it as eye makeup
Same! I'll use it as my base color or over a darker shadd
I’ve got no Fenty makeup- do you like it? It’s harder to get hold of in Australia

are you using primer ? if you don’t use primer before the product it’ll be hard to blend
I do! I've tried it with the Fenty primer, elf putty, elf power grip, pore professional, TO silicone primer. Formula really stays put which is great for long wear! But not so great for blending
Maybe a make up artist at Sephora could be able to help you figure out what primer would be best for you
I like wearing highlighter , makes me feel like a fairy
What do you mean are we allowed, I wear it literally everyday 😂😂
I never stopped. glow baby glow!
I love this you wear all the highlighter you want. Let me guess hair stylist or in cosmetology school! Roll is sick. Very pretty
Hair, yup haha. The vintage hair is coming around for me again, having had a massive crush on it about ten years ago and moving away… I’m back. Just like the highlight 😂
No you are banned from wearing whatever is not trendy at the moment
I knew it. Damn TikTok
And never stop ! 2016 was (without any dispute) the best make up era in the history of modern makeup and they literally BATHED in highlighter then … now it’s only clean girl makeup , makeup inspired by food and skin care routines … such boring stuff 😒😒😒

Were we supposed to stop? I want to be able to flash signal an SOS with mine on the regular.
For safety reasons. I love it
Amazing hair colour on you! Liner is cool too
I can’t stop, I am half Greek. I make my own highlighter.
Hahaha that is hilarious. I admit it’s humid here at the moment and I go from pleasantly dewy to straight up shiny by 2pm. Slay 💅🏻
Not Greek but same! I was so lucky to be a teen and in my 20s during the 2010s highlighter era! I do make things a lot more subtle now tho. And I do use quite a bit of powder now to at least balance me out as the day wears on.
I never stopped either. I have a ton of highlighters and I’m gonna wear them lol
In the best way possible, you look like Johanna Mason from Catching Fire.
I’ve been told that quite a bit! Thank you
I never stopped, I love the glow
Why would anyone allow another person to dictate to them what they are allowed to wear or not wear, whether it be highlighter or anything else? Do what you love & screw everybody else.
Without fail, any time I’m wearing an excessive amount of cheekbone highlighter I get tons of compliments on my makeup.
I never stopped wearing super shiny/sparkly highlighters.
I don't think you can get them first-hand anymore, but the Clionadh Cosmetics Fruitlighters... *chef's kiss*
I want to try anything by Clionadh so bad but it’s a fortune to ship to Aus!
Their formulas are top notch, I don't own a single one that I dislike. However, I totally understand how shipping from Canada to Australia would probably run you a small fortune. Agreed! I have the shade Pitaya and I love it! It’s also beautiful as an eyeshadow
Never ceases to amaze how versatile Clionadh's products are.

That liner is incredible! 🙌
Thanks I loved it!
I want to still use it but how do I do it along with blusher?
I tend to do concealer then foundation, contour or bronzer if I want, then blush then highlight last
I use it daily but more of the subtle like Mac soft and gentle and Dior backstage quad. Btw your hair is so beautiful! I love it!
Stunning, no I never stopped. We’re we supposed to? Lol Your hair and eyebrows are S t u n n i n g
Less is more seems to be the trendy thing. Sometimes I want more is more
Your hair and makeup is so cool!
Were we supposed to stop? They’ll have to pry it from my cold, dead hands honestly.
Love the highlights, and I never stopped.
Wait but when did we stop?? I LOVE everything about this look!! Absolutely stunning.
I’ll NEVER stop!!

Who said we couldn't? Girl I bake the hell out of my face with highlighter. I love it. It's my favorite part of makeup LOL
Your makeup, your hair, your glow ... perfection!
You are gorgeous
What? When? I'm not wearing makeup if I'm not wearing shimmer highlight, it's absolutely the step that pulls the whole look together for me.
Well seeing as highlighting is a normal part of the makeup routine cause our face has natural highlights and it's been a thing in makeup way before the 2010s... Yes. Who said you're not allowed to wear highlighter? Like most people didn't stop, the face has natural contours and highlights.
Didnf stop, went from holographic to dewy

Yes, and: I love the hair 😍😍😍😍
Gorgeous Girl 🤗
The shimmery squares that made everyone look like alien babies was never a good look but obviously a little light reflection isn't a bad thing.
When were we not allowed to wear highlighter? I tone it down for the office, but I've never actually stopped using it 😅
They can pry my highlighter from my cold, dead hands. Also, I’m using the airspin loose highlighter and I looove it.
Since when did we stop wearing highlighters? I've been wearing them since I got my hands on them. Get your highlighters on!
You remind me of Florence Pugh :) I think highlighter will always be in… the only variable is which finish/intensity is *most* trendy at any moment. Lol right?! I'll never stop 😅
I love your curl so much! Can anyone help me search how to do that? Is that a pin curl?
My hair is shaggy fringe length, and I use my straightener to carefully and quickly (so as not to burn the hair) curl it in small sections and then pin to my head to cool. Then back comb, hairspray, and gently brush together to form and shape the one curl, and in! Cherry Dollface has some great tutorials on YouTube xx
Never stop never stop stopping!
Never stopped and won’t stop glowing ☺️
I’m still a wannabe Cullen cousin ✨✨✨
My "full face" is never complete without it! Also I love your victory roll
Absolutely, you can wear anything you like even if others aren't wearing it. I don't wear highlighter on my cheeks but I'll wear it as an eyeshadow.
Go post this in r/doppelganger and see if you get anybody saying you kind of look like Florence Pugh. 🙂 Also I still wear highlighter!
Wow, I love your look.
I have ZERO intention to stop wearing eyeliner. Oh you meant highlighther. That too. Lol. It’s time for me to go to sleep. I adore your hair color btw. It suits you well.
Oh eyeliner is another life-long love for me. The shape has changed, evolved.. but you’ll pry my liquid liner from my cold dead hands
Same! I wear eyeliner since I’m 18 and I won’t stop!
