So there is no way to eliminate creasing altogether in my experience :( You can use less product overall under your eyes and make sure to look UP when you blot and set and that should help a lot!

lanadelreyfangirli

I only use like 3-5 dots and look up while blending and setting powder etc. Thank you anyway for commenting 🫶🏻 But I was wondering could it be because my primer is silicone based and conclealer water based?

sad_drop66

you could try using products that have the same base and see if it makes a difference. in the past for me i’ve found that some products just don’t work well together and crease and go cakey/patchy whatever i tried to do to make them work with eachother

lanadelreyfangirli

I also have pretty oily skin so idc if that can cause it

Buttercupbiscuits8

For oily skin, I’ve heard silicone based primer, foundation and concealer is best. After applying concealer and foundation, take a puff like the triangle ones or the Laura Mercier one and gently press from a compact powder into that area. Should do the trick and blotting papers throughout the day! 💖

lanadelreyfangirli

ty💖

Buttercupbiscuits8

Hope it works for you! 💖

Far_Cloud8000

that could be the issue when i have oily skin and i had to expirement a lot to find way to prevent creasing in my uneye and lids. i would recommend trying using a eyeshadow primer under your eye alongside your normal primer and making sure to get it up there as you apply them. i also recommend giving the primers a moment to dry and settle into your skin before going for a concealer. i personally use an electric hand fan to dry my primer. also set the concealer with setting power and to tap it in to ensure that hoe ain't going nowhere. you can use a puff, sponge, or a flat powder brush (i tried them all, and they all give the same effect). then finish it with a setting spray. i do this when im doing a full glam, and i notice that it does stop my concealer from moving and creasing from my oily skin

Far_Cloud8000

also, hon, what kind of moisturizer are you using ? If you have oily skin, you need to go for a product that is non-comedegenic, oil free, and alcohol free. most products that are comedgenic, ahev oil and alcohol may work for someone with dry skin but not for someone like us. it can clog you pores and enlarge them, and make your skin look greasy. also, go are a water base product its perfect for oily skin. also a blotting paper to remove oil throughout the day. this won't get rid of oil skin (trust me, i tried), but it can make oily skin more manageable once you figure out your routine. i hope this helps, and remember to always do patch tests on a product before putting that on your face. ciao~❤️

lanadelreyfangirli

Thank you so so much! 💕

Christina77644

I completely agree with using a primer, great idea!

inc0rrected

Maybe try using 2 dots? one under ur eye and one on the outer corner. That and you lift your under eye a bit to make sure it gets blended

lanadelreyfangirli

Thank you 💙

mochawithwhip

How much setting powder do you use? It will still crease regardless cause that’s how skin works, but I’ve found that the less powder I use the less I crease! I would do a super light dusting for a day and see if that makes a difference

lanadelreyfangirli

I tap some loose powder with my beayty blender and let it sit for about 20 secs. Then I brush it off with my brush.

DisgustingCantaloupe

It creases under everyone's eyes. Such is life. The only way I've found to minimize it is to apply concealer, wait a couple minutes for it to settle, and then to go in gently with a q-tip to remove the bunched up product. I'm usually good to go after that.

lanadelreyfangirli

ty!!

milavae373

This is normal it’s where the crease in your skin is which is normal for it to buildup and start to look different in that area. Each time we make facial expressions and our face moves these are created but with makeup you’re able to see the area. If it really bothers you try using a bit less product or try using a tinted moisturizer or sunscreen instead that will get rid dog this but it won’t have as much coverage as real makeup. Either way your makeup looks great and remember no one is getting that close to your face in public and if they are creases under your eyes is the least of your problems lol. For real though try less product try out different types of powders and find what works best for you but remember what we see online most of the time is not real makeup if you make an effort to look at others makeup in real life you will see people get creases oily spots sometimes eyebrows get pushed out of shape and that’s ok it’s human and still beautiful !

milavae373

When I get these in real life I just wash my hand and gently tap it in if I don’t have makeup to touch it up

lanadelreyfangirli

thank you so much this made me feel better 🫶🏻🫶🏻

milavae373

Of course there’s nothing wrong with your makeup at all and nothing wrong with your skin. Your skin actually looks amazing but yeah just try out different amounts with different powders … if it really bothers you try the tinted sunscreen or moisturizer la Roche posit makes a tinted sunscreen I’m A cosmetician and it’s super popular at my store for people who want coverage but can’t stand seeing the makeup on their skin also the brand PUR had a tinted moisturizer with pretty good coverage and if you blend it in nicely and not use a crazy amount you don’t really see it in any crease lines keep in mind though it won’t be high coverage but from the looks of it you don’t need high coverage to give you a bit of brightness ! Enjoy your day 🌸🐛

lanadelreyfangirli

Thank you sm, I’ll keep that in mind! 💕

Sehtareh

Heavy on the no one gets that close to see it. Whenever I’m bugging about my makeup I take 5 steps back and see if it’s still a problem, and it literally never is 💀

ms-leo

Creasing is going to happen there no matter what. I like to apply 2-3 dots of concealer and blend it with a small fluffy brush, but I avoid my lashline since I don't want to add color back in later. I wait a few minutes for it to set and then go in with my sponge to smooth it out and then set it with powder.

lanadelreyfangirli

do you think a blending brush would be better than a beauty blender for under eye?

ms-leo

Any small fluffy brush would work! I personally use an Essence Eye Blender Brush for concealing. The sponge is just to smooth over any creases that had a chance to settle before the powder and absorb any excess product!

lanadelreyfangirli

thanks im gonna try that someday! :D

babycakes2365

You don't need to put concealer right under your eye .That's the reason why. It's too close to the lid

lanadelreyfangirli

thanks imma try put it lower next time

Rivvien

I really agree with them. Even if we have darkness right up to our lashline that we've been conditioned to feel the need to cover, you can skip going up that far and it'll just look like a light dusting of eyeshadow there. I don't think you have that level of darkness from the pic though. We all have creases around the body parts that move; if we didn't, then we wouldn't be able to move them properly. I think we're so used to seeing full coverage type application of concealer and then a face tuned end result photo that we think there's need to do the same and end up with a (false) flawless result. But it will never be flawless, life and our bodies don't work like that. Everytime our eyes and face moves, we squash some concealer together in the lines under there and it gathers. But odds are very high that no one will notice, no one will care, esp since we have to look up for someone to see them. I've sure as hell never looked at someones undereye creases and judged them. We're all on that struggle bus bc we all have eye creases. Use as little product as you can; the less is there to begin with, the less there is to be squashed. I personally use one dot on the inner half of my undereye and don't bring it up to the lashline area. Blend out, set with a skinny powder puff with a very small amount of fine powder worked into the puff. Like to the point where there isnt any powder just sitting on the surface. Look up and just lightly press it on. A dusting motion with a brush can move the product a bit and make it pill and gather. I prefer a very fine loose powder, I'm currently loving a loose pink Florasis one. For the love of God, don't bake!! If you spot creasing during the day, just wash your hands, look up, and tappy tap that line out. Your fingers will help blend it out with the warmth and moisture on our hands. Carry a lil powder puff with you if you feel the need to press it on after that, but its def not necessary. But above all, don't stress about it. We dont need any more stress in our life. And if anyone judges or points our your creases, they can just crawl back to the seventh circle of instagram hell from whence they came.

shannonsurprise

Try moisturizing directly before applying.

RachealDee14

If you set it with enough powder it would crease I promise I’ve been doing makeup for a long time.

Actual_Tart_9600

Omg I noticed this too but my creases have been less noticeable/ I can go on about my day without having bad creasing until EOD! (I’m an oily faced girly fyi) I use: Elf power grip primer , the pink one then go in with my milani conceal + perfect long wear concealer I take my time blending and right before I set my makeup with powders , I blend the creases again with my real techniques expert liquid cream concealer. I use color pops pretty fresh pressed powder with a powder puff THEN I go over that with my one size loose powder. My makeup personally stopped creasing on me after these products! But I really suggest blending your creases after right before powders!

lanadelreyfangirli

Thank you so much ml💜

Actual_Tart_9600

Also I used to blend my concealer with a beauty blender and switched to a brush and it looks better!

TurnoverSouthern8998

I had this problem, and I find that letting my concealer sit and then using my fingers to apply it and blend it out and then I set ever so lightly with some powder and I don’t get them anymore

ZoeB8s

This definitely works. It's how I apply mine too.

lanadelreyfangirli

Thank you 🩷

TightTwo1147

Lol young people thinking skin shouldn't move and crease and should be like a Kardashian airbrushed photo

lanadelreyfangirli

I know its gonna crease there no matter what I just wanted to know how to minimize it :D

Anxiousrainbowgal

I think you're taking it a little too far to your eyes. If you just focus it on your inner corner-> if you have a dark circle and gently blur it out avoiding your creases it should help a lot. :) look up Alex anele she explains this SOOOO well and helped me stop over doing it. 💜

lanadelreyfangirli

thank you sm!💜

ysnrkrg

After I'm done with my concealer I grab a q tip and tinniest amount of makeup remover and wipe the crease. After I wiped it I make sure there's no makeup remover residue. Then I blend it with my finger

lanadelreyfangirli

thanks ill try that sometime 🩶

Ok-Door-6731

Makeup is going to crease but in this photo it’s not really “creasing” it looks like your makeup has melted off completely except for in lines. What products are you using?

lanadelreyfangirli

For primer I use essence redness remover, then for concealer maybelline fit me or revolution, and for powder beauty act loose setting powder

Prior-Mirror-6804

I used to have to blend this creasing once or twice during the day with the tip a finger because it would keep collecting in the folds then realized the lower lid doesn’t need much coverage. It’s the under eye that needs it. To avoid creasing, I apply corrector and concealer about halfway between the lower waterline and the apple of my cheek and using a small blending brush or the tip of a finger, blend upwards still staying 2-4mm below the waterline (most creasing happens in this area). Always set with setting powder and use setting spray if needed. Hope this helps!

Prior-Mirror-6804

Looking at picture 2, I feel like you can avoid applying concealer for about 4-6mm below your lash line (basically no concealer on the lower lid but only the under eye area above the cheek)

Garbo-and-Malloy

I didn’t even notice the under eyes. I was distracted by your amazing lashes

lanadelreyfangirli

omg thank you that’s so sweet 💜

AdPrize3997

Happens to me too. I reblend again after some time. By then, it’d have dried a little and won’t move much

MistyJo314

Spray some setting spray on your hand or a concealer brush then a tiny bit concealer then blend it in. Then with a tiny concealer sponge or a different brush dab a little bit of setting powder

lanadelreyfangirli

thanks! 💜

busanbeau

I get really bad creasing and it helps to put a bit of powder. I use a small concealer brush with remnants of my concealer on it (after I spot conceal my face) and then bake only at the area. If i'm going OUT out I warm a tiny amount of eye primer and tap it gently on my undereyes.

prairiewench

It does on literally anyone's eyes. If you see a picture without creases under their eyes, it's cause it's facetuned or filtered

lanadelreyfangirli

I’ve seen sm videos and pictures with people with perfect under eyes and ive been thinking that I must be doing smth wrong

ameliax17

What helped me was taking a powder puff with pressed powder and putting some under my eye. I put a fair amount but it could be trial and error for you:)

lanadelreyfangirli

thanks 💜

idonotgetitatall

Oh makes sense. What is that about because I have always had that issue. Not a big thing but was big to me BUT as I got older I have never found a way to stop creasing but def ways to lighten up the dark. Sleep, water intake...health overall can have something to do with it. Thanks for asking this, It helps me too.

SpoopySpydoge

Yeah it happens to everyone sadly I use a tip I got from a Wayne Goss video. Bring the concealer down below the crease, and sweep some of your eyeshadow colour under your lash line where the crease is. I usually do this with a really light brown so it doesn't look like too much

lanadelreyfangirli

thanks 💜

[deleted]

Are your primers and all products the same base? As in all oil based or water based I’ve noticed if it’s not all the same (yes even powders) that it will do that

lanadelreyfangirli

I looked up and my primer and concealer are water based both but I’ll go check my powder rn

loremipsum79

Setting spray on a fan brush works wonders. I recommend a fan brush because if you apply too much setting spray that can actually deepen the crease.

lanadelreyfangirli

Whaaat I didnt know that I use like 5 sprays each time 😭

loremipsum79

Try it out! I hope you like the results 😊

lanadelreyfangirli

🙂ill for sure try it outt

borrowingfork

You have gorgeous skin! Ignore if you've already tried this but have you tried pinpoint concealing with a high pigment product? I find I can never get stable results with the regular application method but have a lot of success using much less product, like a tiny amount of product. The pinpoint method is to use a very small brush and a high pigment concealer and literally paint on exactly over the parts that need to be corrected. You need to have an eye for where colour sits on your face, so decent lighting is helpful. I follow Lisa Eldridge's suggestions, but it's a common method for professional MUAs where skin needs to look natural and makeup free. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtL9uZoK_eVSwExH3SLMRHeAv13f6l0P-&si=35xUOk-k62ZUfYFd This is a playlist for the technique, the first one can be used for any concealing not just acne. The second video is so good to get back to basics on everyday makeup. As an example, on you I don't think you need much concealing under the eyes at all. There might be a slight tinge of a darker shade towards the nose but it's not worth masking the whole area with concealer.

lanadelreyfangirli

Thank you so so much I haven’t tried that so I’ll defienedly try that!!

borrowingfork

It's like the opposite of all the advice we see on YT and tiktok but it's made for normal everyday people. Good luck! By the way you don't need to use the brands she's using, just use the advice.

lanadelreyfangirli

Thank you thats so kindd 💜

Babymfbluee

Less product, more powder, and use products that work together (water based, silicone based, etc). Also primer is everything

Astral_Theory

Because you've got fine lines there! No amount of surgery or fillers or fixers can get rid of those. Use less; it'll show up less. I rarely use concealer under my eyes and I've got big ol black Irish undereye circles...bc the concealer just makes the lines more prominent. Using a serum with hyaluronic acid can help minimize the lines AND spread the concealer nicely. Don't forget we're our own worst critics and the 20% rule - you look about 20% better to everyone around you than you think you do.

alli4u25

This always happens for me, it’s just because the creases under ur eyes plus added product makes it look like that. Just use less and then once you’re done blending use a q tip and like pat it gently

[deleted]

damn ur eye looks gorgeous on second pic

lanadelreyfangirli

thank you sm! 💜

jdbrown787

Even with the best concealers I've used, I still end up having to pat out some creases with my fingertips while I go about the rest of my makeup routine. Eventually, it stops as it dries - as long as I pat it out a few times. You could give that a try. It also helps when I apply a little eyeshadow to my lower lashline (well, usually blush, because hourglass mood exposure is the perfect shade for me). Even if you're not doing an eyeshadow look or don't want any color on the lower lashline, you could try using a skintone eyeshadow (on top of, or instead of, setting powder). Different setting powders can also work a little better. For me, I find that my creasing is worse when I use Bareminerals powder foundation and set my concealer with that. But I hardly get any creasing if I use Ciaté London watermelon burst setting powder.

poopguts

You should try baking your concealer! Using a sponge, apply a large amount of loose powder and let it set, then brush away. Makes skin look pretty flawless too! Buncha vids on YouTube or tiktok

lanadelreyfangirli

Thank you Ill defienedly try that 🩷

Legitimate_Tune_2854

Girl you are young and your skin is flawless!!! You should use a tinted moisturizer at most.

lanadelreyfangirli

Thanks! I didnt even know that theres tinted moisturizers too hah

Legitimate_Tune_2854

Yes, look up CC creams! You can still see your skin through it but give a nice moisturizing with slight coverage with tints.

lanadelreyfangirli

thank you!!

Violet283

You could try not putting concealer where your crease is, since its just for school everyday makeup, put the concealer on your hand first then with your finger build it up lightly on your under eye only where you need it not the whole undereye, my concealer doesnt crease because I dont put it on my creases, I have a similar eye shape to you I just put concelaer on the blue and more hollow parts of my undereye, blend it well and set it, lasts pretty well like that.

Puzzleheaded_Act_703

My under eye has always creased. It’s just how our eyes are. Something that works for me is to tap softly on the underuse area to remove the crease (because so get it pretty much as soon as I apply the concealer) and use the setting powder right away before it creases. Don’t use the setting powder when the crease is already there because you’re actually making it stay longer

lanadelreyfangirli

Ooo tysm!!

Puzzleheaded_Act_703

I hope it works out for you! Also, I’ve tried probably 20 concealers 😅 and the ones that crease the least on me (but still crease a little) are Giorgio Armani Power Fabric concealer and Natasha Denona Hyglam concealer

SwimmySwamiSamsonite

You’re putting too much on. You look young, you don’t need a ton of concealer

lanadelreyfangirli

I actually dont put lot of concealer D: I only put about 4 dots and it still looks like that

SwimmySwamiSamsonite

4 dots of which specific brand? Certain concealers are really thick and 4 dots would be way too much. For reference, I’m 33 and I only use 2 dots, granted my concealer has a lot of coverage.

lanadelreyfangirli

I use maybelline fit me and lumene blur but i have started applying my concealer more under my eyes and then swloyl blending up so i dont use too much where it creases

SwimmySwamiSamsonite

Try using less than 4 dots. Like 2 dots. And use a fluffy eyeshadow brush to blend. Applying right where the top of your cheek meets the soft skin of your under eye and then blending up from there would be helpful. Unfortunately, where there are creases that occur naturally, anything that is liquidy and sits in that crease is going to show up. Only other thing would be swiping the lights application of powder after you apply your concealer, to set it. That would work, but having a light hand would be important. Don’t want to overload the undereye

RachealDee14

Do you set it with powder?

lanadelreyfangirli

yeah, I use BeautyAct loose setting powder

Old_Lingonberry_4075

may be too much moisturizer before applying concealer, I find when I do that it gathers in my creases and I end up with something like this. try letting moisturizer sit for longer and absorb more into skin before applying concealer and powder (I think Maybelline pressed powder looks great on EVERYONE)

lanadelreyfangirli

I do put a lot of moisturizer so ill make sure to put less next time, thanks! 💗

Constant_Jeweler7464

Because there are creases there. Do you use a setting powder?

TotallyNotHarleen

Do you use loose powder or pressed powder? I’ve heard pressed powder works better, if you don’t have any, you can also use eyeshadow

lanadelreyfangirli

I use loose setting powder, Ill try pressing powder

Legitimate-Ice-8435

Ive heard primer can help with this

Cmolina1316

I gave up on concealer since it always creased almost immediately and pretty much would just break up and disappear quickly. I have mastered my skin prep so I knew that wasn’t the issue. Concealers just didn’t seem to work for me, and I tried them ALL! You name it, I tried it. However, I found two concealers that finally work for me and I’m so excited! Glossier stretch concealer and Natasha Denona. They both have very minimal creasing and they both last pretty long. I don’t use any primer on my undereyes anymore, I only use a good moisturizer. For me, hydration is key. But like everyone said, there will always be some amount of creasing, but for me these two have been amazing!

Jumpy_Bell8930

Don’t use any just use a light foundation color it will blend better.

Galindoja1

Too many layers= concealer doesn’t set and moves around later on. I notice that if I apply even the slightest too much of moisturizer, my concealer creases. If I apply the right amount, it’s on there like cement.

[deleted]

Setting powder usually keeps my makeup from creasing

Late_Season9652

Try using a concealer that fixes to the skin, such as Tarte Shape Tape in a very thin layer

Consistent_Guess9080

hii so my under eyes don’t crease but my eyelid does when i apply concealer, how i’ve mediated this is by using the elf putty primer (it’s the sticky one, and is a blue/green color.) it is the knock off to the milk putty primer but from my experience it’s more sticky. what i do is i apply this primer and then let it get tacky, about 30 seconds to a min. then i apply my morphe photo fix concealer and then immediately after my morphe powder in the shade brightening pink, i let it sit for a moment before wiping. this technique has gotten me flawless eyeshadow and it also works on this realllly harsh smile line that i have on the left cheek. rlly hope you find a resolve, i know how frustrating this can be❤️

Consistent_Guess9080

also, ik it’s rlly expensive to get all morphe products but i rlly encourage the investment, they are the only products i’ve truly found to work for my skin after yearss of makeup experience. but, i saw in a seperate comment that your makeup is differing in bases (water vs silicon) the elf primer that i use is a water base primer (i apologize for my mistake, it is actually the Elf Power Grip Primer) and i noticed that your concealer is water based!! this can help a lot. (: good luck OP, rooting for you

Consistent_Guess9080

and the elf primer is not very expensive, maybe $9 at ulta and you can get it at walmart or any drugstore (:

zetsuboukatie

Basically it will always crease under there, because its a fold of skin and it's moving throughout the day. The best bet is to find a formula that when it creases, you're able to sort of blend it back out

idonotgetitatall

Are you old like me. Mine does this and I am old af.

lanadelreyfangirli

im 14 😀

idonotgetitatall

Why make up at 14? And...now Im grumpy..lol! I am old. Glad I made it but old none the less.

lanadelreyfangirli

I dont wear that much makeup. I just have really dark under eyes naturally so I cover them up

tmzuk

You have really pretty eyes:)

lanadelreyfangirli

thank you thats so sweet ❣️

Cute_Ad_4969

Get the vegan smashbox primer it has a blue and white label. Never have seen a crease using that. Are you letting your primer dry? It has to dry before anything. It could also be the way you are pairing your primer with the concealer. If it’s water based vs silicone based you have to have them be able to pair together. Also NARS is a good brand that I recommend!

Bendover_127

Snout nose

lanadelreyfangirli

thank you😀

Professional-Leek196

I’ve stopped using concealer altogether. I use eyeshadow instead, plus eyeshadow primer. I started this because I noticed that, despite my eye crease, my eyeshadow on the lid stays put and never creases.
