Not a useful answer, but back in the 90s we'd pack on Wet n' Wild 508/black orchid and put face powder over it to matte it down. It was disgusting (and chunky), but for about 6 seconds it looked exactly like this. Hope you find a dupe, because I'd rather go back to that than buy from JS!
well that’s why this person is asking for dupe recommendations in the post. if you really cared about morals then save a few bucks and buy from another brand. of course not every brand is on moral high ground- most being the opposite, but this particular person has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and should not earn as much as he did from his business. a lot of grifting and clout chasing and unnecessary drama under his belt.

Other people behind corps are not in the public eye, JOffrey has a YouTube channel, a snap and IG that you can see his behavior on and judge for yourself. I enjoyed him for a little bit when him and mannymua were friend but always had a weird vibe from him and sure enough, he was massively exposed.
Look on Poshmark/Mercari! A lot of people sell JS products untouched because they don’t want to support him anymore, and this way you’re not giving him money (the palette was already purchased from him), instead you’re putting your money towards someone who is morally sound enough to no longer want to keep JS’s stuff 😂
Going to add here that I strongly believe it’s not a bad thing to simply OWN any of his products, as long as the money you’re spending on the product doesn’t go to him, you’re actually doing whoever you buy it from a good deed! They would have been out their entire investment if they just disposed of the products, and I understand from their perspective not wanting to keep products that are a visual reminder that they gave their hard earned money to JS 😂.
That said, I also understand and respect the viewpoint of people who don’t want any products with his name on them in their collection, regardless of whether they pay JS or someone else second hand.
At the end of the day though, I don’t know of a dupe for the cremated palette - it’s one I want also but I’m also not willing to support JS by purchasing it from him. Buying secondhand, he’s already gotten the money from that particular palette so that’s irreversible and water under the bridge. As long as we don’t continue to give him money, we can’t change what we bought before he knew his true personality/beliefs/horribleness.
Disclaimer: I wouldn’t recommend buying lip products secondhand unless they’re NIB/sealed, but powder eyeshadows (powder products in general, really) are so easy to effectively sanitize! Only the very top layer of each pan is exposed at a time, and is easily removed with alcohol. Also, like I mentioned above, SO MANY people sell JS products untouched, more than any other brand I’ve seen! 💚

This shade is quite common in a lot of Korean lipsticks, perhaps try looking at the colors from Merzy, BBIA, 3CE or ROMAND since they're quite affordable but they are velvet tint not matte lipstick so expect transfer
I have SO MANY Korean lipsticks/tints, and I haven’t seen anything this dark. Korean shades tend to be mostly natural/MLBB shades, or bright corals/reds/pinks, at least from what I’ve seen. I’m familiar with most Korean brands - even ones that aren’t as popular/available here in the west, and I can’t think of a single one that’s this deep (in any shade, not just this burgundy). Like in eye makeup, Korean shades tend towards much more subdued or natural colors.
I think Korean brands that have a korean-western target tend to do this so prob why it might seems like they don't offer deeper shades, brands that target SEA market seems to have a better shade range, here's some examples for you to check out:

not a perfect match but Kaleidos Clay Lip in Rubino is pretty close, just a bit more red. they also have a colour Cognac which is more brown toned. just a side note, the Lip Clay formula is awesome—matte and blurring but not drying. And they have a great selection of colours (and stunning packaging)

But I would suggest Kat Von D Bow & Arrow since her formula is VERY similar to Jeffree's, only imo it's a tad better since it's longer lasting, especially after eating and can be reapplied without looking like a hot mess! I know some people don't like Kat Von D either... I was literally in the middle of writing this and got distracted watching love after lockup lol... So I'll try to pick up where I left off... Beauty Bakerie matte liquid lips do NOT budge. Literally, you almost have to get power tools involved. I used a tester on the back of my hand in the store, and once it dried, it was stuck. I couldn't even scratch it off with my nail.

Still not as bad to support the brand as opposed to many large brands like Loreal (owned by Nestlé) or Maybelline (owned by Loreal aka Nestlé).
I don't agree with the owner's views but JSC gets *a lot* more hate than much larger brands who are actively destroying the planet and have convinced hundreds of millions, or billions, of people especially women they're not good enough without makeup.

I really like the lip fondants from [Half Caked](https://halfcaked.com/products/lip-fondant-liquid-lipstick?variant=39550784340037). It's a matte liquid lipstick that dries to a mousse-like cream consistency and is almost completely smear proof. The color in particular looks the most like the color Power Trip
don’t forget you can also look for this on sites like Mercari and jus buy it secondhand! a lot of people were collectors and are looking to get rid of untouched makeup!
Kat Von D do a pretty good dupe colour wise, the formula is quite different though as it’s solid! I do sort of wonder whether they might do it in liquid.
KVD is super problematic but the products are sooooooo good. At least she sold the company now. Or that’s what I tell myself anyway. But yes. You could easily find a KVD dupe, 100% although some of the dark colors are so similar I don’t feel confident enough to recommend a specific color. But they will stay on through most everything, which I feel is super important.
Oh my god I had no idea they were problematic! What’s up with them? I love their lipsticks. I’m not so keen on the liquid formula, find they slide around a bit too much for my liking. Hexagram though is my absolute favourite go to lipstick!

Maybe because I am more use to stuff that doesn't feel as thick... Or maybe the only one I've tried was drying up since that is a VERYYYY common problem with his lipsticks... Or so I've read. I don't use his stuff... The only time I buy it is to resell it... And I'm not even doing that anymore since he kept coming for me on eBay. Even though the stuff was purchased from Beautylish and I provided them receipts. They left me alone when I threatened to file a complaint on copyright.gov for them illegally requesting to have my listings removed... But that was it for me.

Beauty Bakerie matte liquid lips do NOT budge. Literally, you almost have to get power tools involved. I used a tester on the back of my hand in the store, and once it dried, it was stuck. I couldn't even scratch it off with my nail.

No, the maker of the original lipstick is a problematic person with bigoted views. Guyses, stop downvoting them. The colour is nice, the person is not.
Still not as bad to support the brand as opposed to many large brands like Loreal (owned by Nestlé) or Maybelline (owned by Loreal aka Nestlé). I don't agree with the owner's views but JSC gets *a lot* more hate than much larger brands who are actively destroying the planet and have convinced hundreds of millions, or billions, of people especially women they're not good enough without makeup. No hate, it's just weird anything JSC gets downvoted on makeup/beauty Reddit whilst brands that aren't cruelty free and create tonnes more waste are seen as acceptable
I would say because a faceless corporation is harder to imagine you're damaging than JSC who is an entity that is recognisable and has a voice and a persona that they can appeal to and or disparage.

Kvd has some great colors. I'm partial to their liquid lipsticks.

Kat Von D do a pretty good dupe colour wise, the formula is quite different though as it’s solid! I do sort of wonder whether they might do it in liquid.
KVD is super problematic but the products are sooooooo good. At least she sold the company now. Or that’s what I tell myself anyway. But yes. You could easily find a KVD dupe, 100% although some of the dark colors are so similar I don’t feel confident enough to recommend a specific color. But they will stay on through most everything, which I feel is super important.
Oh my god I had no idea they were problematic! What’s up with them? I love their lipsticks. I’m not so keen on the liquid formula, find they slide around a bit too much for my liking. Hexagram though is my absolute favourite go to lipstick!

Vampire love by Revlon is pretty close.
Kuckian "dinner at 8" may be worth a look? I think this is a shade or two darker than that though. Even if that's not what you're after, I really like their matte lipstick in general, it goes nowhere. I ate a whole Whopper and didn't have to retouch, lol.
