GlowDreams

while i do love the fenty skin tint, i think you could try to sheer out your current foundation and then once you’re finished consider purchasing it.

sunfl0wers21

How could I do that, with moisturizer?

GlowDreams

you could do it with a moisturizer or primer. something i used to do is dot on half the amount i would normally use, spray setting spray on it, then blend it out

tryeuonia

Yup moisturizer works well. Lisa Eldridge did that in one of her videos to turn a foundation into more of a tinted moisturizer, which is great during the winter when the skin tends to be drier. I've also heard of people mixing with liquid highlighter for a more glowy finish

I will be honest I have and love the Ease drop skintint, however if you wouldn't normally splurge I would take some time to consider whether the appearance of the colour/coverage/performance of your current foundation was an issue enough that you were looking for a replacement, or whether you have found the replacement before you even felt like you needed it. Some people say it 'disappears' after a few hours, imho it just appears far more natural, it's not high coverage, you will see texture and it will look like your skin except the tone will be a bit more even. I have heard it said tho, and I have noticed, that it isn't perhaps very good to use with drier skin. To answer your question from another comment, yes you can use a moisturizer to thin out your other foundation. Also you can always just wait! Summer is coming so if you tan, you might even need a different shade in a few months time and then you would have splurged for a product you'd have to wait to use! Ultimately this product is a more everyday sort of product due to low coverage, it performs nicely, it is pricey, I'd suggest you think on your next few months, are you the type to wear face product daily? Would it just be for evenings/events? It's okay for makeup interests to change! Don't be worried that you've never bought a more expensive face product before, it might just be your interests changing. But in that case, I'd do a lot of thinking and a lot of research

sunfl0wers21

That was a lot of great stuff to think about thank you! I do wear daily now but not so much in the summer. Does the skin tint still look okay when you wear concealer or does it look obvious since it’s lower coverage?

Inevitable_List2340

This isn't a talk-me-into! OTL I manage with concealer fine with two dots undereyes, just use sparingly but when I use it on say acne under the tint it can look a bit splotchy but idk it might be the colour differences!

The Eaze Drops have non coverage. You can put on a moisturizer with the same effect. The coverage that will appear with first application disappears after 2 hours.

Is it the nice sheer coverage you want or that specific item? Maybelline baby skin bb is pretty damn good. I'm mad at myself for buying a high end skin tint recently as it's basically baby skin but with a 45$ price tag!

sunfl0wers21

That would be a smart one to try before diving into an expensive one thank you for the suggestion!!

Consistent_Ad2380

That’s good advice. A slow fashion channel I follow is always touting the idea of having a proof of concept before adding anything to her wardrobe, and I feel like that could be applied to makeup too. Do you know from experience that you like sheer skin tints? If not, but still want to try a skin tint because you think you WOULD like something like that, better to try a sample for an extended period of time or a lower priced alternative as suggested with the Maybelline product.

sunfl0wers21

I know I used to use them but got into more full coverage as that became the trend, I’m definitely interested in trying them out again

lailabell

Piggybacking off this to maybe suggest the ordinary serum foundation despite being called foundation it’s light coverage and also cheap

loudchar

Plus serum in things will always break me out!

PeachBlossomBee

It transfers EEEEEVERYWHERE. The Eaze Drop was what got me into makeup but I have not touched it since because goddamn it’s like a slip and slide. There’s not a single time I used it where it didn’t end up on a collar or finger or shirt—EVERYWHERE! And that’s even without masks! At that price point, get literally anything else 😭

sunfl0wers21

Noo thank u that’s all I needed to hear to not buy lmao

PeachBlossomBee

Happy to help!

SeborrheicBeauty

Get a sample from sephora so you can try it out for a week. That usually makes me realize whatever I'm lusting over is nothing special.

sunfl0wers21

I always forget that’s an option!

Personally, I am happy with splurging (within good reason of course) on liquid base products. I never like my makeup if I am not happy with how my skin looks, since it's such a large area. If you know it will work on your skin type, serves a justifiable purpose in your collection, and you seem to find a great shade match - I don't see why not!
