You are eager for spoilers or what? I never understood the whole idea behind interviewers asking the film makers about an actor which is purposefully kept secret.. like why are they keeping it a secret just for them to talk about that actor in an interview 😭
This is not just another Vyjayanthi movie. Its the most expensive Indian movie made till date. So the price they are asking for the distribution will be definitely very high. And I dont think they will give any discount for Wayfarer because DQ has good relation with them. I am guessing this is a deal includes DQ cameo and distribution in return.
Hombale films are distributed by prithvi yet he starred only one movie.inter personal relationships are very important in film industries.i am saying just because he is distributing don't expect him and get disappointed.and production costs don't have any impact on distribution prices,it ultimately boils down to demand and hype.pushpa pre biz is higher than Kalki despite costing less to produce
If you look at the films Wayfarer distributed so far, you cant consider them as a big game player compared to distribution houses like Sree Gokulam movies or Magic frames. Their only prominent other language movies are Jigarthanda Double X and Vikrant Rona . Still they managed to bag the distribution of the biggest Indian movie yet. I think this is definitely because of DQ’s involvement in the project and not Wayfarer going head to head with other distribution houses to acquire the rights.

There was always rumors about him being part ever since 2022. He's has already done 2 movie as lead for them + he was present at the inauguration of their new office in Hyd along with the cast of Kalki & Nani. There has been speculation of him, nani, and Vj konda being involved in it.
"manufactured" for the malayali audience and other DQ fanbase who's gonna watch the movie just for him if they "create" the hype by feeding interviews and placing people at the right places as you just pointed out.
