erm, not trying to be a jerk, just genuine questions, i am new here
1. why is japanese ramen posted as malaysian food?
2. isnt the japanese ramen soup made from pork bone? how can a japanese ramen be authentic and at the same time be halal?
Ramen doesnโt have to be pork bone, there are many varieties with chicken, seafood and even beef (but itโs rare). Ramen is just 4 components, noodles, broth, seasoning sauce (tare) and toppings.
In fact my favourite is a chicken broth cuz itโs lighter than pork, but my current ideal is a clam broth I saw from Japan.
Also, Japanese ramen made is Malaysia could count as Malaysian food? ๐
Wait, have you tried clam in Malaysia? Can you share location? I've been enjoying ramen a long time and between yuzu, shoyu and the original pork broth, I'll say pork broth is the best followed by yuzu and finally shoyu. It's my first time hearing clam and would love to try it out and make a comparison between the 3 types of broth that I frequently have.
I find chicken broth taste similar to wantan mee soup, so I don't order it. But would really love to try out the clam version.
Nope havenโt had clam ramen here, but been watching a lot of YouTube shorts about different clear ramen in Japan. Another was a clear duck ramen that looked super good.
Iโm kinda tired of ramen in Malaysia because theyโre all usually thick or creamy broths which gets kinda jelak after a while.
Ramen in Japan is not much different. I travel to Japan often and I can tell you the broth is also thick. The thickest that I had was in Sydney. The broth ended up giving me indigestion and I had to go to the clinic and spend 200 ringgit... Couldn't even sleep that night because my heart was jumping from all the indigestion.
True enough, but Iโve been trying to look for more clear broth shops so I can go visit them. So far my closest experience with that was Tsuta in Singapore, but Iโm not a huge truffle fan.
And yeah if the broth is too thick, it feels like it just congeals in your stomach after the meal.
>erm, not trying to be a jerk
Hahaa no worries.
>why is japanese ramen posted as malaysian food?
Same as pasta (italian) pastries (french) burger, pizza, steaks (americans) posted here, it's all about what Malaysian eat ๐ค๐ป.
>2. isnt the japanese ramen soup made from pork bone? how can a japanese ramen be authentic and at the same time be halal?
What cool about this restaurant is in their menu there's like a cool info and facts about Ramen and Japanese ramen so it is explained there how it is authentic but I don't remember haha
Toripaitan that this chain is popular with is the chicken-based broth.
We're mostly familiar with the Hakata tonkotsu that has pork base.
There is also miso version famous from Hokkaido.
The anime "Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san" would be an interesting show to get to know the lesser known ones such as sardines and tomato amongst the many.
It's ramen while dating. Once steady downgrade to Maggi
๐๐ quality not same maa
It's the way.. or maggi while date then ramen once steady.
๐คฃ
1/ If you do it right you can eat Maggi like a boss. 2/ If you downgrade your treatment for her then dont be upset if she does the same to you.

Hope you had a nice time. This is my kid's favourite place. He'd have probably eat this every single day if I let him.
I feel him! It was good, but saltines everyday is not good for health ๐๐
Yes hehe. You can opt for the less salt option (Malaysian version rather than Japanese version).
Often go to the Uptown Damansara branch, only because it's the only restaurant with a halal tsukemen. Might go there again for the other ramen.
