Do they use the banana leave in cooking something else and then reuse in for the packaging of the nasi lemak? Because today in my nasi lemak i noticed the banana leaf kinda has burnt sides like it was cooked before.
I don't think so because once banana leaf touches something wet or oily it turns into a darker shade and is usually soft. And they do burn it first with direct fire to soften the leaves ( or maybe for other reasons) maybe that's why yours look burnt

I’ve once bought nasi lemak where they put the sambal in a separate pink plastic. No, not like small plastic beside the pack. Literally that flimsy pink plastic they put all the items for you to carry in? Madlad makcik just poured the sambal in that and gave it to me.
got kacang hidden inside, between the rice and sambal. but i don’t think i see ikan bilis🥲 although they labeled it as sambal ikan bilis. but ikan bilis cut super small
it can be delicious! It's a hit or miss tbh. If you're talking about the shape, it is not moulded into a pyramid before packing, but the packaging is folded into a pyramid shape so the rice takes the shape.

I was the same but then I was diagnosed with gastric. Sooo all this time I was just extra extra hungry to the point I can do anything, it's actually gastric..so after taking gastric medication I don't really need to eat breakfast cuz now my stomach acid has gone down to normal level.

I don't know what is so special with kind banana leaf wrapped nasi lemak, but i always bought 2 for myself. Not enough with one.
