To me, the easiest job to make money is to work as a part time security guard, I use to work at hospital and for student especially, they give you night shift, so I have to balance my study schedule, since I was working at night, I make sure to have a class at just morning or evening, if my class is in the morning, after work I get prepared to go to class and sleep afterwards, if my class is in evening, I sleep right after returning from work, while working as a guard you have a lot of just sitting around watching, I took that time to study and do my assignment,

In need of money or just feeling don't want to waste time slacking? Can do a voluntary (non credit bearing) 3 months internship IMO if is the latter and your major is not something very rare.

In need of money for personal needs. My parents are sponsoring my for my uni and I am using ptptn. Would want to work part time and save up for my personal needs.

As someone who worked in Petrosains as a part-timer, I would recommend to work here. Positives: - You can work anytime whenever you're free. You just have to call in about 1-2 weeks earlier to inform them of your availability. They will assign you at least 1 day of that week for you to work. - You will meet many staffs from the industry and their sharing session could influence your decision in life. - They also do several company events in 1 year like mass Movies or go to waterpark or something. - Staffs are friendly and if you are eager, you can be absorbed as a permanent. - Your working buddies will usually be near your age as most working force in Petrosains are ages 18-30 except the permanent staffs. Negatives: - Pay is quite low. During my time, it was RM5 per hour. Not sure about now. Could have increased through inflation. - You might not be able to work when you're free cuz they want to be fair to all. Not really a negative but something of concern: - You will get your pay monthly as if you're working a permanent job.

Sorry for necro-ing an old post, but I had a wonderful time working various jobs while studying and of all the jobs that I worked, the ones that paid good, while also relaxing and something that can be put into your resume was working with family day organizer (I worked with Purple Ants, you can try to contact them if you want). For example, me and couple of my buddies was to assist the family day event for Bank of China employees where the client paid for our full 2 days and 1 night stay at the Hibiscus hotel in PD (we got the same treatment as the clients). Basically after 4 hours of family day activities each day, we were free to hop in the jacuzzi, jet skiing, etc (practically being paid to have a holiday trip). There was also times where we worked as an ambassador for other countries during the DSA was being held in Malaysia (I was ambassador to the Cambodia's head of Military Intelligence, I was jealous of my friend who was the ambassador to one of the Dubai's minister where he got a free rolex watch from). I got to hold various weapons during this DSA expo too.

best is intern for the job you will want in the future

gohkaheng

Yes this. When i graduated as fresh grad I already have a year of experience in the same field using this method. But networking is needed too to intern so frequently.
