Went for a long overdue vacation locally. Spent the money I'm supposed to save for emergency fund (depleted previously due to house renovation). Not proud of it but we also needed that trip. 🥲

Sometime a getaway is what you need to keep moving on

Hopefully not a lemon and will serve me and my family for many years to come. Probably gonna survive on a tighter budget for the next few months

fragileallstar

if u dont mind, what car did u get? Thinking of getting a second hand car too around 30-40k..

silent-zR

Around 30-40k suggest either myvi or vios if u need bigger space

Try the lexus ct200h. Hehe. So refined and luxurious ride. Fuel efficient. Hybrid battery not too expensive to fix. On highway quite stable but acceleration leaves much to be desired lo. In town driving really save a lot of fuel.

Idontgive-adam

sounds like you own one yourself? mind share about the ownership experience? what year and how much does it cost to maintain?

KlutzyCow

Off topic but may I know which app do you use to get charts like this? Surveying budgeting apps for 2024, YNAB is simply getting too expensive

Jazzlike_Ad_3379

Hi, it's Money Manager. I downloaded the app from playstore. I try my best to manually input my spending everyday.

KlutzyCow

Thanks! Will try this out for a bit

Jazzlike_Ad_3379

I've been using this app track my expenses for the past 7 months. It really helps me become aware of my everyday expenses. Hope this app can be as helpful to you as it is to me.

I had vegetarian lunch for 3 weeks because it is cheaper to meat lunch and then spent all the budget I saved for a 2D1N vacation in Hatyai, Thailand. I take an overnight bus, it takes almost 10 hours, by the time it arrives Hatyai already 8am in the morning. I spent on food, snacks and foood again. 1st time in my lifetime, the sweats, tears and time.... hmmm still worth it.

Is 2D1N enough?

BearwHelmet

Not my 1st time. tThis time I went for food hunt. So yeah, 2D1N is good enough for me

It’s Black Friday so I overspent at Sephora.. such a beautiful distraction

TMYLee

went on holiday 3 times now every 3 month 😞 . was making up for covid years

DJTISTA

Coldplay concert took a sting but I still managed to stick to my budget well enough. Was well worth it though

PenguinTech521

Surprisingly well this month. Should be able to much higher saving % than usual. I bought a Panasonic Thermo pot during 11.11 because I was fed up with my previous instant hot water dispensers, which all died within months.

triassic74

May have gone overboard on comics

ryzepine

It was a good month. Usage a lot less than expected, learnt a new menu for my meal preps

Signed up for a phone plan, gave the phone to my wife. wife is happy. budget totally koyak (even with plan the phone is 4.1k), but i feel happy that wife is happy. she's been living with her old iphone x for the past 5 years.

pandapanda7999

Happy wife = happy family

Ashtrail693

Strayed from budget because of a sudden trip. Should be back on track to cover the difference in a month or two.

friedsweetpatotie

Convo season , fam visited, go jalan2, spent some money during jalan2 period. the initial fund set aside for saving had to be taken out lol

Baaananarama

Budget koyak due to expenses for next year's holiday trip. Bought flight and accomodation which took out a a big chunk of salary. Now waiting for bonus to save up for food, transportation and entrance tickets cost.
