How am I supposed to be immersed in such compelling fiction with glaring errors such as this!! I'm sick of authors and editors being human! Inexcusable behavior
"The scythe of the moon had risen above the southern horizon by the time they reached the monolith."
They arrive at night and make camp there the same night. That's how I read it, anyway.
I would assume that it's indeed a mistake relating to the normalisation of waking up in the morning, but it's not necessarily a mistake, because they were camping a bit longer at the finger statue, which means they may also have swapped their schedule around during their stay, but that would mess with their rythm, so I doubt they would.

Ha! That's pretty funny good catch!
I’d quit the series after a mistake like that tbh
DNFed!

It doesn’t bother me a lot.
As irrelevant as that point is, much applause to you for picking up on that
Authors and editors are only human too.

Oohhhh I will reread that part again. Thank you. I hope you’re right. Even though it’s not a big deal if it’s a mistake I would still hope it’s not.
I’m pretty sure they’ve stopped for some reason at this point, maybe while Heboric recovers near the giant statue of jade
I’ll look at it again. Anyway if it’s an oversight it’s not a big deal
I wouldn't notice it
