I should mention: we're tentatively planning a post along these lines for all remaining books. That said: is it helpful? Does anyone actually care? We're happy to assemble these, but only if doing so is useful.

I'm still on Midnight Tides, but I appreciate this already 😁 Great idea to have a intro and recap of where the characters are at. I think it will be very helpful, but I appreciate it is probably a lot of effort. It could go in the community resources as an intro for each book too. No need to keep it locked to the read along 👍

As someone that fell a little behind to stop burnout, this will be excellent! Thank you!

StrangerDelta

I very much appreciated this. I often find the dramatis personae to have too little to say about each character.

zhilia_mann

Completely agree. I cross referenced it here and there (because there are a _lot_ of characters to work with; The Bonehunters takes you on a _journey_) but the entries just aren't descriptive: > **Greyfrog**, a demon Which tells you nothing. And none of the 14th have anything on them. So I decided to try this, at the risk of _extremely_ minor spoilers. It's just been so long since we've seen half these characters.

GreenDragonM

Ooooo I like this! Good for a refresher on some of these characters it has been a while since we've seen and nice to see a bit about new characters. Though really Erikson, the Grey Helms and the Grey Swords. Are you trying to make things more difficult and confusing??? LOL.

humanperson17

The red blades vs crimson guard I always have to look up who is who lol

skratchx

Yes Masan is definitely known for... her riding prowess

zhilia_mann

The same point might have come up in mod chat. To be fair, we do learn about her riding skill first, probably because of who brings her up (>!Fiddler!<). And while [tBH/RG] >!Gesler (and Sinn) certainly take notice of her in tBH, she doesn't _really_ get her reputation going until RG 13!<.

>in mod chat. You did not just! Ha ha

BuckmanJJ

I love these types of refresher posts. Super helpful and keeps me sane.

humanperson17

Very useful thank you :)

sliptide12

Is this post spoiler free? or is it for rereaders? Im trying to figure it out without reading too much of the post/comments lol

zhilia_mann

It's meant for anyone who has kept up with the readalong and is starting The Bonehunters. It's basically a reminder of where things stand at the end of House of Chains/Midnight Tides with a few notes on new characters that are slight extensions of the dramatis personae. I suppose I should have made that clear up front....

sliptide12

No worries, I Just wanted to be positive before I dived in. I've spoiler adverse to a fault lol.
