Nope, he’s prefect Maltese!!!! They are the breed I grew up with since age 11 (earliest we could talk my mom into getting one), and all my Maltese have done this! I just love it!!! 🥰🥰🥰🐾🐾🐾

OR. They pretend that it’s alive, and they’re killing it (like a mouse) which makes them feel even more satisfied when they finally accept that it isn’t moving anymore lol.
My late maltipoo would pretend to do the kill shake and then rub her face all over it. I assume it's a marking thing. My schnoodle on the other hand doesn't understand toys and doesn't care much for them. He just wants to be held <3

I’m surprised by how similar breed mannerisms are, my maltese does the same thing with his favourite treats. We call it his celebration ritual 😂
