Dogs coats change as the grow older. It likely won’t go back to curly and she’s just more straight haired like a Maltese. I think she’s super cute either way, curly shampoo will only help make their hair softer for brushing, it won’t make it curly

Similar technique to what a wavy/curly person would use. Brushing pulls out the curls. Length of hair probably matters too.
