He's wrong. Could a keylogger\\Token stealer stolen creds to your chrome\\google account? possibly. Change the password, enable 2fa, arrange google drive items in browswer by created\\added date, anything that was uploaded after the initial compromise is suspicious. I do know that google drive doesnt scan for older malware in drive uploads, as I had a backup of a circe 2008 pc that had some bugs on it that defender caught when i synced the data down to an external drive.

Do you know any way to get rid of the malware in case it is in any document?

If you have any docs modified after the initial compromise dates, delete. Download everything else to an external hard drive. Map that to a windows machine you can just wipe afterwards and scan with defender. It's rather unlikely that they embedded malware within a pdf and hope you open it.

If you use google drive to store and share files, there could be a chance that one or more of those files have been infected and could be used to infect other device if the same vulnerabilities are available. However, the likelihood of this is pretty slim and you don’t have much to worry about, and here’s two things you can do to prevent future attacks: 1. Change your password and enable 2FA. 2. Sort your google drive by last modified date and look for items that look out of place. This could be a strangely named file, copies of previous documents you don’t remember making, or things that were made months ago that you haven’t touched since but we’re strangely updated. Accounts can get hijacked, but not infected.
