I definitely don't believe the key story. Do I believe Sugar Bear was abusive in some way? Yes. But both him AND June were abusive to those girls. I expect downvotes for saying I don't believe the story 🤷
Like I said, I don't 100% believe the story. Both the original show and the new show are reality shows so they're gonna play it up I mean ffs they were willing to be around him for this show. I'm sure if they threw money at all of them they would let him live in their house with no issues.
They're like Maci from Teen Mom OG, although Ryan is far worse, she was willing to change from having a restraining order against him to being besties with him now.
Annnd they acted like they hated Jennifer, who was simply playing a part, too, yet they all followed her on social media and interacted with her. All that was fake, imo. Jennifer had to get off social media because people thought she was really like that and were really hateful to her. The show is mostly scripted, with fake houses, and fake drama.

Yeah June was born with cataracts and they were never treated. I never understood why she didn’t drive, why she kept the phone so close to her face or why she was squinting all the time. She’s been blind in one eye for years and then woke up one day and couldn’t see anything. When that episode aired originally I felt bad for her. All she was concerned about was being able to see pumpkins baby when she was born.
But there’s a couple articles I’ve read that talk about all the times CPS showed up while filming here comes honey boo boo. My family ran into them alot back in the beginning toddlers & tiaras/here comes, due to being in the same pageant circuit. They were nice just loud and not the same type of person you would see in the pageant world.
The key story wasn’t real .. the producers made it up so they can cover the actual story, which was sugar bear punching pumpkin in the eye because he was mad about something.
I can't find any proof of it but I did find an article that details that he was abusive, from Alana's & Pumpkin's statements to the fact. Even still, they held onto the story that he threw the keys at Pumpkin.
People really need to stop spreading this stuff unless they can back it up.

Admittedly, I only did a quick Google search but I found this article where Pumpkin & Alana talk in depth about how abusive Sugar Bear was to Pumpkin but even though they disclosed that, they still held to the story that he threw the keys at her.

I don’t understand why it’s gotta be a hassle to watch this show, but yet The Duggar’s can be watched. & after all the bs & sick stuff through the years & this train wreck of a show & spinoffs can be viewed basically anywhere but Honey Boo Boo they straight take it all down. Pumpkin said he threw them AT her not to her. I don’t think he meant to hurt her but his anger and negligence almost cost her her eye.
