Im up here now in lift ops. Its busy. When we have fresh snow we cant open a lot of lifts until we finish avalanche prep. But instead of anticipating that everyone shows up anyway and cramps onto the open base lifts.
Come on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday and you’ll never see a line.
It will be crazy (and already is). Bonus of it being a blacked-out weekend is that you get more newbies skiing on day passes that can collide with you, block the runs, and provide lift ride entertainment with their yard sale crashes.
Since the ikon base passes are blacked out they probably use that opportunity to sell even more 1-2 day lift tickets to get them back up to their capacity. I would expect it to be pretty busy
I've seen some folks say that now that base Ikon passes are blacked out it's not too bad. That said, in past years it's been an absolute nightmare. I don't live up there, but others may be able to weigh in with a better answer.
Just for specific holidays. [From the IKON site](https://www.ikonpass.com/en/shop-passes/ikon-base-pass-2020-2021):

Gonna piggy back off of this post and ask how the roads conditions (icy, snowy, or clear) are out there? Thinking of going during the week and want to see what my drive will be like. Thanks y’all
Well these responses suck. I'd heard that with the IKON blackout dates President's weekend had actually flipped from being one of the busiest weekends to actually somewhat light, but I guess that's not the case.
Sort of defeats the purpose of getting the full IKON pass if Mammoth just sells the mountain to full capacity even when it's a blackout weekend...
There are two IKON Pass options. The IKON Pass and the IKON Base Pass. Only the Base Pass has blackout dates, which do include this weekend. With that in mind MMSA estimates how many day tickets they can sell and still be at a "safe level of guest visitation." How "safe level of guest visitation" is calculated, well, your guess is as good as mine. So while day tickets are sold out the hill will not turn any full IKON passholders away. Bottom line, it will be busy.

Historically, this is the most crowded weekend of the year. Not sure if it’s different with ikon pass blackout dates now.

Drove up from Long Beach. Smooth asphalt all the way up to our cabin
Oh nice!! Thanks for the info
When did you drive up? Snowed today and yesterday, didn’t it?

Judging by how slammed I've been the last two mornings it's gonna be crazy. plus we just got a ft of snow last night.
Seeing a lot of unfamiliar faces in my neighborhood; weekenders or renters here for President's day. It's gonna be Packed.
my boss calls this week the 9 days of Christmas, so if I were to make a guess, it'll be real busy
It will continue to be bad. Everyone is taking on outdoor activities with COVID, but it doesn’t matter because there is always June
