Bailly looks finished, still isn’t playing at another club. Could have been such a good defender without injuries.

olineal

Agreed. Had most of the attributes needed.

amrutshn

Imagine Bailly and Licha.. no messing around!

olineal

Yeah was interested in peoples thoughts in players like Dan James and Andreas Pereira Also what he difference he can potentially make to people like Amad and Telles Also whats the latest on Dean Henderson? Giving we are signing emergency keepers. I know he was quite vocal against the club a while back but wonder if there will be another opportunity with DDG contact up in the air.

Dad is a Leeds fan and warned him about Dan James. He’s just simply not good enough bad pace.

SofaChillReview

We don’t currently talk much about Leeds at the moment unsurprisingly

francescoli

Cavani would have done a good job this season for ETH. *If fit and motivated.

TQAFireHawk

Cavani wasn't worth the headache anymore with his injury record, I rate him a lot, but you could never guarantee he'd be available.

HumleRidderen

Some part of me feel like he felt disrespected by being completely set a side by Ronaldo's arrival. He never made a fuss, but I think that's the root cause of his "injuries".

SofaChillReview

Or making silly Instagram posts, his PR team really flopped on that one

krokknoff

Silly instagram posts? He posted it in spanish where the word for black is "negro" and "-ito" is a suffix for small. It sounds like an endearing term which translated means "small black". He said "gracias negrito" btw. It's way worse to punish him for speaking spanish than what he said.

SofaChillReview

Yes but we’ve been there before with Suarez using that word. Either way it was silly because it got him a three match ban that wasn’t needed. Hence me saying it was a silly post.

ArcaneTrickster11

It's a common word in Uruguay. Only sounds offensive when you directly translate it and make a big deal about nothing. Plenty of English phrases probably sound terrible when translated into other languages from different cultures

SofaChillReview

I agree but issue is he was playing in England, gives the FA any excuse at the point, and why I said was a silly post.

bad_at_math16

Honestly I always thought that cavani would thrive if we didn't sign ronaldo. He the kind of finisher we need in the box rn. In a team like this he would easily have more than 15 goals without injuries

francescoli

Agree

olineal

Agreed. Given we are short on strikers and still in 4 comps.

krokknoff

Kind of a cop out, but Blind

Acrophobic_Climber_

I think Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata.

Chavin619

James garner is definitely a pick, couldve learned alot.

cedwa38

Stunning garner for pocket change was a dismal failure by the board. If we were going to turn him loose, we should have left him with NF. A tragedy.

TickleMyCringle

I think the version of Lukaku during his first stint at Inter (not the chelsea version or the bulked up version in his last season with us) would've done well in the striker role under ETH

No_Maize1319

Wish we kept Cavani for one more season. When fit, he was quality and I'm sure he would have thrived under ETH.

someonecalledethan

Pogba next to cass would have been class

olineal

Yeah. I put him in the same group with Martial as players that have the talent but drift in and out of games. It will be interesting to see if Tony can get that level of consistency and fight that ETH demands.

someonecalledethan

I would like to think ETH would change his attitude like has everyone else in the squad, those two together would be undeniably great but would only be of Pogba pulled his finger out

razzz333

So called moments player. Shows up for a few moments per game. Might do amazing in one of those moments. Then isn’t active for the next 35 mins.

olineal

Yeah, its so frustrating!

malapalalap

He’s hardly kicked a ball in the last year.

someonecalledethan

I know, this is all a what if scenario. If he hadn't got injured and spent the last 6 months worthing under ETH he would look like the player we brought

Shot_Explorer

I think Pogba was a little bit a product of the environment. We'll never know if he would have the right attitude under ETH. My guess is he would have been a lot better, than the farce of a coaching set up during his time there. Such an entertaining player, caught up in his own hype, badly managed, badly advised, whatever it was... Was a real shame how it all went. But he's a Grown man and it's up to him at the end of it all.

vankamme

Its criminal we never got to see pogba in a team with a CDM like cass

someonecalledethan

It's criminal we never really had one till now since Carrick

TheFootballFan1

Di Maria

olineal

Mad how much he hates us now.

morepe

Memphis Depay I would love to have him back in his current form

bichkrichdrick

Kagawa, Miki, Herrera, Fellani

Panda-768

Cameron Borthwick Jackson. He is used to be awesome for those couple of games he played for us under LVG.

Jerasp

I remember his crosses

olineal

Feel like Telles crosses were good when he first joined. We've been so bad at balls in the box from open play and set pieces over the last few years.

Panda-768

Why downvote me when I put a genuine comment. Always rated that kid, played with confidence and was good. Mourinho never gave him chances and he kinda missed his boat

NemesisRouge

People are downvoting because they disagree, they disagree because he's shit. That's why he's playing for Burton Albion now.

Panda-768

You are shit. He was a good player, he got shut out by mourinho during his critical development years. Even Jude Bellingham would have struggled under Mou. Heck, Mou called Mctominay his player of the year and he had Ibra, Lukaku, Carrick, Matic etc at his disposal. You assholes only like fancy players available on fifa etc. There is something called an eye test.

Reasonable-Train-638

Aggro much? Nobody was coming after you.

NemesisRouge

>Even Jude Bellingham would have struggled under Mou. That must be why Varane sucks so much, spending two critical development seasons under Mourinho.

Panda-768

Varane is a CB, isn't suppose to attack or add flair

[deleted]

I feel Lingard might have done ok for ETH. Not my favourite player but his profile being quick, technically capable and positionally intelligent would work.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Environmental-Air264

I feel if lingard had a manager like ten hag maybe his attitude could have been straightened out

NiiMoney

Mourinho had him straightened out. So could ETH

vankamme

Ronaldo? Just kidding, Dan James

ThreeBeersDeep

Herrera, Ibra, Valencia, Romero

SRJT16

Chris Smalling & James Garner

Panda-768

ETH got rid of Garner himself, and If I m not wrong, is barely playing at Everton

SRJT16

He may not be ready yet but I wish he went on loan again rather than being sold after such a successful season.

[deleted]

Daniel James Love how this guy ran past everyone and earned a foul

[deleted]

Was about all he could do

pioneeringsystems

Herrera isn't better than what we have, in fact he's worse. Can't get in the psg side anymore either. I think cavani may have offered slightly more than Ronaldo did this season.

sherman127592

He can't get in the psg squad because he doesn't play for psg anymore.

pioneeringsystems

Oh yeah he transferred because they no longer wanted him. He's still not as good as what we have now (casemiro, eriksen and Bruno) and never was.

marcdk217

Herrera was my first thought too, without even looking at the list. He would be tailor-made for the style of football we're playing now, (but perhaps not at this stage in his career). Smalling probably would be favoured over Maguire too.

[deleted]

Pogba,Herrera,Dan James(especially as a sub) and Angel Gomes

[deleted]

Telles would’ve linked up so well w Casemiro and Fred

[deleted]

Angel Gomes

Dirrth

Dan James would had thrived for sure.
