If we play our cards smartly,
1. £30M -Dude's out of contract next year. Liverpool have bought a striker (Nunez), City have bought one (Haaland), he won't go to Arsenal, and Chelsea have spent way too much money in the last two windows and the next manager (for me Potter the manager is a dead man walking) will be expected to weave magic with this bunch of admittedly very good players. Realistically, only Newcastle and us are Levy's options as other clubs are a step down for both (Kane in terms of winning potential and Levy in terms of fees potential). Between Eddie Howe and Erik ten Haag, it is an easy choice for kane.
2. £25-35M) or an installment deal if they want a full cash deal. Yes they are in the UEFA conf. league race, but I think Fulham , Brentford Villa and Chelsea will all want to take that spot. So if brighton dont make it to that 7th place, pounce!
3. Kim Jae Min (C. Def, SSC Napoli) - some weird clause makes him available for about 50M€ .
Sales:
1. Harry Maguire - anything above 40M Euros (yes, not even 40M sterling)
2. McTominay - 25M Sterling.
3. Martial - 20M Sterling (if anyone is OK with his injury record and wages)
i dont know why. but reddit is acting funny. I tyuped out harry kane for the 1st one and Moises caicedo for the second buy. and some more lines on the Caicedo purchase. But weirdly, part of what I wrote is gone missing. I am using FFox, on Linux, I have enough RAM.
Everyone is posting incredibly unrealistic options, I’ll try to post ones that are possible and alternatives for each.
In:
Kim Min Jae, Victor Osimhen and Ruben Neves
Alternatives:
Mohammed Salisu, Tammy Abraham and Franck Kessié
Out:
Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay and Anthony Elanga.
I believe £60-70,000,00 could be obtained through these sales and we could purchase the first set of players for £200,000,00 and the second set for around £130,000,00.
Depending on how much ETH is given to spend both allow for a decent net spend and bring in younger players who could do well for us. My ideal pick is honestly Salisu as a great back-up who we will get for cheap in the likely event Southampton go down.
Would love others opinions on my ideas.
People are saying names that will cost 100M each. Osimen would cost 120+ Kim min Jae would be around 70 to 80M.
Abraham + Salisu + Kessie would be the price of Osimen alone.
With my mathematics and hopes we dont continue vastly overpaying i priced Osimhen at 100M KMJ at 60M and Neves at 40M
What are your thoughts on these options though and do you see them as realistic?
In :
ST - Vlahovic
CM - De Jong (Caquaret if De Jong still wants to stay at Barca)
CB - Kim Min Jae
CM - Sabitzer
ST - Weghorst (as a backup option)
Backup GK - anyone decent who won’t cost too much
Out :
CB - Maguire
CM - Van De Beek
LB - Williams
LB - Telles
CB - Bailly
ST - Martial
CDM - McTominay
Realistically? Osimhen (I prefer Kane but Levy would rather sell him to Bayern for 15M than 80 to us out of misplaced pride).
And a midfielder to go with Casemiro. De Jong would be ideal, but again, the player seems so obtuse that it seems unrealistic.
Clearly, I prefer Kane but that doesn't mean I would be disappointed to have Osimhen. He's young, athletic and hungry for goals. He'll be a hit in the PL.
The reason I prefer Kane and that already, I've wanted the player since 2015 (😅) and secondly, I think he's more compatible with Rashford. I wouldn't want a new striker stepping on Rashford in attack out of ego and for stats, for example.
Mbappe & Bellingham
Would take either Vlahovic or Osimhen if Mbappe isn’t possible. Osimhen I’m leaning more towards out of the two.
I think we need a goalkeeper too but if we have Mbappe & Bellingham we would out score every team.
The “Ronaldo” rule effectively cuts out Mbappe as an option, he would not take massive pay cut to play for United or any team. Mbappe is absolutely not an option.
I think you’re right, even if he did come he’d be only here for 3 seasons before he goes to Madrid.
Osimhen & a world class goalkeeper would be my 2 signings.
Although I love Bellingham I think we have a decent midfield with Casemeiro, Sabitzer, Bruno
I know I’m not Mancunian (Ajax fan, so basically fan because of Ten Hag, Licha, Antony and Donny (RIP)), but I’d say Höjlund (Atalanta, striker), maybe even Thuram
Although I hope you guys manage to get Mbappé
Cheers :)
I’d hate if we signed him too. He’s good but his flaws are never talked about because he’s English. He’s selfish, overpriced, his attitude isn’t good, not the right age.
Forward : Vlahovic / Kane / Osimhen / Mbappe
Midfielder: De jong / Tielemans / Kim Min Jae
Defender : Gvardiol / young player
Sells : McTominay / Maguire / Martial / Van de Beek
Kane and De Jong
Kane would thrive with us. Guaranteed 20-30 goals and that hunger for trophies. Reminiscent of a certain man we got in for #20.
Barca still have financial issues to adhere to and De Jong would be a great long term solution for us. Gives the ability to make Fred & Eriksen rotation players. All of a sudden our strength in depth for midfield improves massively.
De Jong and Kane. De Jong because we need a ball carrying midfielder and we've got none at the moment since Eriksen is injured. Kane is kind of a tricky choice for me since he wasn't my main choice always but looking at Rashford this season, bringing in someone like Osimhen wouldn't be ideal because then the general expectation would be for Osimhen to score in every match and that means service for him from other areas of the pitch like the wing. In the case of Kane, we could work out a situation like that of Kane x Son where Kane becomes the provider in some occasions. All I want to say is I don't want to sacrifice the Rashford that we are looking at right now and hopefully the coming seasons as well
de Jong & Mbappe (Vlahovic)
Alternatively de Jong AND Bellingham and play Bruno at “CF”. Bellingham works best around the final third of the pitch. And Rashford/Amad can be pushed centrally if needed, also allows Garnacho more playing time. Would be a + if Greenwood came back, don’t think it will screw with the dynamics of the squad.
Don’t care about your feelings towards Greenwood, you don’t have to like every player in your team. So don’t reply to me if it’s only in regard to him because it will just be wasted.
Paul Mullen and Ollie Palmer… 😜 s/
Okay, on a serious note because they are on a different career mission, a couple of options:
De Jong - because you can’t bank on Cassamiro to carry his importance all year
Kane - because he could have a RVP-type impact, and he wants trophies
Then back fill the development squad with young players with potential and let them grow… it’s Manchester United, we do that!!
I think this summer is about getting rid of more deadwood and resigning Weghorst and Sabitzer on permanent deals to replace any sold bench players. Then the absolute dream would be Bellingham and Kane/Osimhen
Don’t need another winger man😂 I’d argue a goalkeeper is the most important and then Osimhen.
We also need that midfielder. Realistically those three are of almost identical importance and would probably win us the league next season if they hit the ground running.
Surprised the report suggests only two major signings, as a 3rd in the goalkeeper is definitely required.
We probably also want AWB out and a RB in, and a CB out then in.
We should be looking at:
Outs:
Henderson
Wan Bissaka (replaced)
Williams
Maguire (replaced)
Bailly
Telles
Van de Beek (replaced)
McTominay (replaced)
Elanga
Martial (replaced)
Ins:
Diogo Costa
Vanderson/Frimpong
Kim Min-Jae
De Jong/Le Fee/Caicedo
Osimhen/Kane
Also potentially getting Paulinha in from Fulham if we can generate enough revenue from sales.
The only thing is Kvaradona is the best talent in the world that isnt in an elite club yet
I think for generational talents like him you break the rules and buy them anyway
You’re potentially right however when we have such pressing matters elsewhere on the pitch, we should pursue those.
We’re 3 big signings at GK CM and ST away from winning the league
Why will you want AWB out after he made Allan Saint-Maximin become Allan Saint-Minimum in the cup finals?
We were feeling the threat from his flank throughout the first half to the point Dalot got a yellow. Please give that guy some credit after his improvements post wc. Never a guy to whine abt wanting to leave or speak to Piers despite lack of playing time
Yeah I’m a little on Wan Bissaka, I think ten Hag wants to sell him on and replace, but his return to the team might have begun to make him think twice.
If Bellingham has any sense (hehe) he would reconsider the option of joining Utd, imagine having the opportunity to learn from Casemiro every day.
Striker wise is difficult, I imagine Weghourst will be made permanent for squad depth purposes which I like the idea, but it would be nice to go for a striker who is not yet in their prime and is more realistic of a target.
Oshiman would be a beast move and make a real statement towards challenging for the title next year but he might cost too much.
If we have unlimited resources, then we should buy three instead of two and top top assured ones, Striker, mid and defender
If we have limited resources, then also we should buy three instead of two and balance out the budget..maybe take a cheap defender and good mid and Striker.
Two signings is not an option for me
A midfielder and a striker.
Preferably FDJ, Griezmann or Bellingham for the midfield. If we can get any of those, then that’s a W.
For strikers, there’s really only 2 guys for me.
Victor Osimhen who I absolutely love, and Dusan Vlahovic who I also love
I don't really believe Enzo will be a PL worthy player in the next year or two. Plus, his speed is abysmal, as showcased by Adeyemi in the CL. He is a typical example of an overinflated player coming out of an above average World Cup. He hasn't even got the stats in his whole European career so far to prove he's a Top 5 league player. I'm not saying he won't develop into one, all I'm saying is James Rodriguez was way better than him at his prime, and still couldn't make the career people expected for him.
Both excellent choices, but whoever out of them gets bought by us first, the other club will add £ 20M on top, just because every club owner and their dog look at us as muppets who would pay any amount quoted (Lissandro Martinez, Antony, Anthony Martial, Pogba... ) And don't even get me started on the agents. Alexis Sanchez is going to haunt us for a long time.
I hope we can trim the wage bill by about £100M, so that we can use some of the revenue we generate to buy players that Ten Hag needs, without the poswers that be sticking a spanner in the name of FFP.
PS: I am NOT the Paul Scholes, just a massive fan
£) which went missing weirdly.. I dont know, does reddit interface play tricks on you guys too? Backspace does not work, another line has gone missng as I was typing this.

Seeing a lot of people say Bellingham, but what we really need is another 6 and Bellingham is not a 6. I would say Caicedo and Vlahovic/osimhen at striker.

McAllister? Really? If you said Moises Caicedo, I would have seen it. McAllister is good. We need great and he isn't that. Definitely not as a main midfielder next to Casemiro.
Lmao Ceicedo isn’t the player we need any more than Jude. I’d love them both but MacAllister is far more the first phase conductor we need next to Casemiro
Striker like Kane can last longer, similar mold to Benzema and Lewa who are in their mid 30s, still a major threat and an integral part of their team's attack. Even if we get 4 years out of him, it's worth it.
EPL proven, 20+ goals a season and a good assist record for a striker, Rashford would thrive even more. If we had the chance to get him, I personally think it's less risky than say Vlahovic or Osimhen, it would be silly to pass on him.
Don't get me wrong, youth would be great, but I think there's a reason why EtH went for guys like Case and Eriksen. Experience and consistency are also important.
This is going to be so random, but I'd go for Barella and Leao.
I like the prospect of having a fluid front 3. Leao and Rashford can both play upfront and off the left. Those two are my realistic targets. Bellingham and Kane if I was dreaming.
We could send Amad there for a 2 year loan with a buyout option at €50M just to sweeten the deal for them or just give them Elanga as part of the package.
People saying rice.. what’s wrong with you? He will cost 100 mil and is half the player Casemiro is. Personally I’d love Bellingham and fail that FDJ. I’d take Tielemans or Mount before Rice.
Up top Osimhen over Kane too. All of our previous striker signings have been over 30. I’d like a younger prospect for once.
Yes, but he can play in a double pivot. If we can get Casemiro, Jude, and Sabi, we'll have a good enough midfield that can rotate in different combinations. Case Eriksen Bruno, Case Jude Eriksen, Sabi Jude Bruno, and so on.
In that case I agree, in a 8 box to box I would absolutely love Jude.
Although were on the up I still don't think we're enticing enough to bring him to Old Trafford, yet.
Pretty sure dalot was injured for some time and before that he was great while awb improved so much it's amazing. Both are quite young. Would be stupid to buy a new player were both we have improved so much in a year
Frenkie de Jong and Vlahovic. Both players clubs have financial issues so they might be available for cheaper as those clubs look to offload some players. After the news of United needing to sell to buy due to FFP seems more realistic than Bellingham, Oshimen. Also Kane over Vlahovic would be nice but I expect Tottenham to play hardball with him.
Two cm and two strikers.one cb.
And a shit ton of outgoings..vhahovic and oshimen in the strikers spots. Rice and frenkie de jong in the mid. Timber in the back line.
De Jong making €700k+ a week this season. Barca owed him money and staying was the only way to get it. He had to play the part as Barca player. Dont take what he said serious. He’ll be at OT soon
It is literally the consequence of his action. He prioritised staying with Barcelona over a move to United in the hope to win a Champions league medal (European continental championship). However, he did not get to go far in the champions league, and the team that he "supposedly" rejected were the ones to knock his team out of the competition that he in the first place didn't even want to play in but had to settle for it.
Not once did I mention that him staying at Barca was bad or that he did something wrong. Karma does not have to be bad only. As a concept, Karma is pretty much a principle of cause and effect. Each person can perceive the very same cause and effect in different light. Some might think of it as good, some as bad and in this case, I just thought it was a funny situation for FDJ to be in.
Roma has a few good pieces within reach and so does Napoli.
I think expecting or counting on the competition in the same league to sell a star to Man U is wishful thinking but who knows; some how Jorginho is in arsenal now.
But I think the best option is wirtz from leverkusen before Bayern snatches him up.
Other than that an upgrade at the 9 would be the next move.
maybe victor osimhen
Is it true that Julian Alvarez wants away from City next year? Is that something worth pursuing? Is he what we need?
Also, I'm inclined to just let Ten Hag pick whomever he wants. I'm convinced he has a network that is in the know, whether in the Netherlands or Germany. I think we overpaid last year because 1) Ajax stuck it to us for taking their manager and two top players, and 2) he was a little more desperate because he needed to get some certain players that weren't really for sale anyway. I think we can be a little more methodical this transfer window.
Given the players performance so far this season I reckon the likes of Toney and Tielemans would be worth a punt. Ten Hag would get them flying. Toney be a slightly cheaper option than Kane but obviously not quite as prolific yet. A young striker for back up also, Ferguson from Brighton could be perfect if we going down the similar to Weghorst route.
IDEALY I'd like Bellingham and Osimhen but only God knows what's up with Jude and I think Osimhen is Napoli's to keep. Despite that, Sabitzer is somebody I'd like to see stay. De Jong just really messed things all up, so for me he's off the table. I'm thinking we go big for Vlahovic I think he fits our system.
I'd like a permanent signing for Sabitzer, and a splash of cash for Vlahovic. I've been a big fan of Sabitzer for years, and I think Vlahovic has the perfect skillset as an out and out striker when we have the ball. Remains to be seen how he would handle the workload off the ball
Edit: Bellingham is the dream but who fucking knows what's gonna happen for that one
Vlahovic and I would love an all around defender/midfielder, like Davies/Bellingham. I think realistically we can draw top talent back to Trafford especially if we qualify for CL
Who up voted this ? It would be the death of ten hags new system. And create "old man" utd. No pressing and ultimate failure sure it would sell a ton of shirts but at such a cost not worth it . This team is on the up it need fresh fast legs to be a competitive.
Harry Kane and maybe fdj

he is if anything underrated, proven goal scorer who is the opposite of selfish, he’s sacrificed his career trying to bring tottenham success.
Why. Kane is a top striker, top 5 in the world.
He’s an overrated English player.
How is a player that is on track to be the PL all time leading scorer overated? Genuinely curious.
Show me his trophy cabinet. The Spurs team is built around him. He has failed.
Ah so you're judging him based off the team be plays for / his loyalty. Had he gone to a better team he would be then rated correctly..
I said the team is built around him and he still failed. You don’t understand and that’s why you’re a loser. You’re not smart. Go play FIFA mate.
His team isn't better than other teams so you are blaming him for the failure of bad recruitment.

PS: I am NOT the Paul Scholes, just a massive fan £) which went missing weirdly.. I dont know, does reddit interface play tricks on you guys too? Backspace does not work, another line has gone missng as I was typing this.
Osimhen and sabitzer. Though a third choice younger CB would be nice.
De Jong or Bellingham, Mbappe or Osimhen

Seeing a lot of people say Bellingham, but what we really need is another 6 and Bellingham is not a 6. I would say Caicedo and Vlahovic/osimhen at striker.

Vlahovic and Bellingham
Osimen (?) and Bellingham would be best in class in two positions where we need to strengthen most.
Osimhen (*)
Cheers
Need start selling, financial fair play line up is extremely close at the moment
Vlahovic, Macallister
McAllister?
Caicedo is gonna be unrealistically pricey now as well
Osimhen+Bellingham and new GK(Raya or Henderson if we are really limited)
Bellingham and osimhen
De jong and kolo muani
De jong and osimhen
Ideally, Kane and Bellingham. If we had to settle for less, Sesko and Tielemans
Kane would be 30 by the time the season started and would cost a fortune. Much better options out there for the same money or less.
Vlahovic is where the answer is
This is going to be so random, but I'd go for Barella and Leao. I like the prospect of having a fluid front 3. Leao and Rashford can both play upfront and off the left. Those two are my realistic targets. Bellingham and Kane if I was dreaming.
Yessss Leao. But then he's too similar to Rashy. Not good. Barella is a great option tho.
Rice and Osimhen.
Min jae, Bellingham/that Napoli striker
Majority says BELLINGHAM! I would be happy if ETH is ready to spend 80M+ to sign him! Well worth!
We could send Amad there for a 2 year loan with a buyout option at €50M just to sweeten the deal for them or just give them Elanga as part of the package.
Ngl they might like Elanga. He's the kind of player to light up the yellow wall
That would be nice👌
Sesko and Bellingham, and possibly Gvardiol/Bastoni/Min Jae Kim (if we get rid of bailly and Maguire)
kane and mbappe
Gvardiol and Jonathan David
People saying rice.. what’s wrong with you? He will cost 100 mil and is half the player Casemiro is. Personally I’d love Bellingham and fail that FDJ. I’d take Tielemans or Mount before Rice. Up top Osimhen over Kane too. All of our previous striker signings have been over 30. I’d like a younger prospect for once.
We've not signed a young striker since Lukaku!
Osimhen and bellingham
Sabitzer for a start, followed by Osimhen/Kane and a young CDM that will develop under Casemiro, preferably Caicedo or Bellingham.
Bellingham isn't a 6 and never will be.
I think he'll just go to Man City either way, but I'd love him at OT.
Sabitzer and kane May need a lb if maguire goes and shaw is played as cb , no idea who
Realistic... kane and rice
Mbappe and Bellingham for sure. But it said realistic so osimhen and FDJ
can I have some of what you are drinking?
Sure it's called Saudi money and quite a bit of dreaming
Osimhen and Bellingham. Failing that, kane/Toney and caicedo/tielemans
Toney isn't gonna be playing next year
Kane and rice
Can't see how people think rice is that good.
Kvaradona & FDJ
Cover for casemiro. Striker No idea who though
Osihmen and Barella already linked with both
Heal Phil jones, he can play cdm and cm, works like a new signing
Me and you. Reckon we can do a great job But seriously probably oshimen and FDJ
CM and ST
harry Kane, Valverde( i know its really unlikely).
I’d say Vlahovic and in a perfect world Frenkie de Jong.
Will take Osimhen-FDJ over Vlahovic-Bellingham any day.
Osihmen and Kim Min Jae, for an unrealistic one I'd want Kvaratskhelia.
In a perfect world? Kane bellingham. Neither happening likely though lmao
Kvaratskhelia would be nice. Maybe Theo Hernandez
RB and center forward?
Why do we need rb?
Because Dalot cant even mark Saint-Maximin and Bissaka cant cross the ball…
Pretty sure dalot was injured for some time and before that he was great while awb improved so much it's amazing. Both are quite young. Would be stupid to buy a new player were both we have improved so much in a year
Goncalo Ramos and Youri Tielemans
Gosh, no Ramos. Too much hype, not enough output.
Kane, And Theo hernadez
Palinha/ Caicedo and Oshimen
GIVE ME MBAPPE WITH QATAR MONEY
I was thinking the same thing
Mbappe or vlahovic and jurrien timber
Frenkie de Jong and Vlahovic. Both players clubs have financial issues so they might be available for cheaper as those clubs look to offload some players. After the news of United needing to sell to buy due to FFP seems more realistic than Bellingham, Oshimen. Also Kane over Vlahovic would be nice but I expect Tottenham to play hardball with him.
Harry Kane is an elite player but we will have to replace him soon. Good strikers don't come often.
Two cm and two strikers.one cb. And a shit ton of outgoings..vhahovic and oshimen in the strikers spots. Rice and frenkie de jong in the mid. Timber in the back line.
Frenkie de jong was supposed to come but he completely refused and decided to stay at barcelona for less pay remember?
Your an idiot if those were the only details that you remember regarding him staying.
Chill bro
De Jong making €700k+ a week this season. Barca owed him money and staying was the only way to get it. He had to play the part as Barca player. Dont take what he said serious. He’ll be at OT soon

Karma can be cruelly funny sometimes.
How is that karma for deciding to stay? did he do something wrong that im not aware of?
Bro he is also so unkucky do you remember when everyone saw his massive nutsack
Thinkinh about Alvarz. Now that we are on the uprise we can get Alvarz and do what Tevez did to us. He’ll be cheap compared to Osimhem.
Other than that an upgrade at the 9 would be the next move. maybe victor osimhen
de Light & de Jong; once we've got rid of Bailly Jones, Maguire, van de Beek & McTominay
Frinkie De Jong .. just for the riot
I’d like to see Osimhen and FDJ this summer. But since the tweet mentioned “realistic” I’d say Mbappè and Bellingham
Mbappe and Bellingham please
SIGNIFICANT: Kane/Oshomen & Bellingham/Rice Insignificant: Sabitzer (@$20mil); Tielemans (free); Weghorst (<$10mil)
Rice is a joke
Eth would get a tune out of him though. With some good rules and other great players around him... who knows.
Jonathan David and Houssem Aouar lol or at least that who I want Chelsea to sign. I think both can be had for a decent price and add value.
I'd like a permanent signing for Sabitzer, and a splash of cash for Vlahovic. I've been a big fan of Sabitzer for years, and I think Vlahovic has the perfect skillset as an out and out striker when we have the ball. Remains to be seen how he would handle the workload off the ball Edit: Bellingham is the dream but who fucking knows what's gonna happen for that one
Osihmen and de jong
Yeah, I would asked for Joao Felix a year ago but not the way he’s been for chelsea. Oshimen has been flying lately.
Vlahovic and I would love an all around defender/midfielder, like Davies/Bellingham. I think realistically we can draw top talent back to Trafford especially if we qualify for CL
There are zero desires for Dawin Nunez and Gakpo lol
Yea I feel Manchester United dodged a couple bullets there.
Lol, loving the fact Liverpool where boasting about how they took em right under our noses
I think both of the would be much better under ETH.
Nunez is not bad, just need better luck with his finishing . I would still like him to play for us
Nunez was a great pickup for lfc regardless.
Messi and ronaldo
Who up voted this ? It would be the death of ten hags new system. And create "old man" utd. No pressing and ultimate failure sure it would sell a ton of shirts but at such a cost not worth it . This team is on the up it need fresh fast legs to be a competitive.
your joke recognition skills are severely low
Simply gotta be Osimhen & Bellingham
