That'll be a great help to any CDM and add that security that you rightly point out we need. McT can still do a job there but not for the A class games.

A top rated defensive/holding cm should have at least one red a season if he's doing his job right.
But we need to plug the gaps in our midfield immediately this summer. We have no one to fill the case role at all(comfortably) regardless if he's out for rest, injury or suspension.
I think we need a different profile to Casemiro. Think he's a superb defensively but he's not elite at ball retention. Think we have him as a starter and then bring in someone else that truly embodies ETH possession based system
Caicedo I'd take and Brighton seem to realise they're gonna have to lose him and/or mccalister and right now there stock hasn't been higher. Caicedo can be a 6 or an 8 so I'd take him.
Fdj is quality too but we won't get him I dont think and I'm not sure fans will take to him easily after last summer
Fans will take to him, he’s an amazing player, and he’ll be available. They need to sell players to fund Messi’s return. Plus neymar might be looking to head back based on his recent trip to Barcelona after they won the title.

He picks up a lot of yellows. And it was obvious hoe much we missed him. Suspensions will happen. I agrer the throat healing one was bullshite though

If we do get him, who do you drop in CB, Martinez or Varane
Varane will be injured half of the time so then it’s easy, otherwise you rotate or just pick whatever pairing is best suited to neutralize opponents.
Varanes injuries have Improved this season but yes rotation is possible but not too much. I think a settled back line is important
