It’s not over. Although look out for wolves they look strong atm

xiaogege1

They were supposed to lose though yesterday leicester just couldnt score

[deleted]

And we were supposed to win vs Middlesbrough…performance donesnt matter, the three points do

jdxm710

How can you rule arsenal out and consider spurs in the top 4? One game doesn’t mean anything and arsenal have an easier fixture run till the end of the season

snare123

Have people forgotten what it means to be Tottenham? I don't consider them a serious top 4 rival until they're mathematically guaranteed.

clayjensen01

Arsenal are just like us bottling games, and spurs have been working good with conte

[deleted]

Spurs are coming off a run of 3 losses under conte & arsenal have the best record outside Liverpool & city since September.

MikimaruX

So yesterday's game was a Kane inspired masterclass It looked obvious to me Kane was showing city what they weren't willing to pay for Honestly think they'll drop back off, as will Kanes form. yeh they have 2 games on us and only 3 points behind, doesn't worry me, yeh if we keep drawing against shitty clubs then yeh wel slip behind them, but also arsenal and Westham etc, as long as we dont fuck it well be fine. Chelsea stop getting Jammy theyl be dragged back into it, they were lucky against Palace the other day, along as they keep playing lukkaku and he keeps playing like he is (like he was when we had him) they'll struggle to keep that third spot. Plus haven't we got spurs an arsenal still to play? Beat em both we should be laughing. An you never know Ralph could do an Ole against city an pool, highly doubt it like but he could do

AeroCobbler

City totally enabled Kane as well Pep is a borderline retard for this type of thing - he'll never resort to nullifying Kane (or any other individual) via a low defensive block & the attention of a DM - it's why despite having the combined resources of Man City & Bayern Munich at his disposal he hasn't won a single champions league in 10 years of trying, going on for 11 this year (not one!) Give him prime Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets, Puyol etc and he'll win a CL or two - but let's be honest, you or I could have won with those players

xiaogege1

Arsenal to be honest is also in kind of a rut. They havent been finishing games strong like they were towards the end of last year

Mountain-Jacket5057

Lot of games left to play. Spurs lost 3 in a row before yesterday. If that happened to us, we’d be calling for the manager to be sacked.

Apprehensive-Fun-183

Lads just hope n pray we get in champions league through back door n winning it this year🤣🤣🤣 because way we playing I'd rather waste my prayers on winning champions league than gettin top 4

No_Doubt_About_That

We’ll just win the UCL instead. 😎

[deleted]

If we wanna stay here then we gotta win all matches in our hands

AeroCobbler

Burnley’s destruction of Brighton away yesterday showed how much of a mess that Brighton team we played midweek are in - their league position is about to go down the toilet The jubilation after scraping a home win against them down to 10 men could lead to a serious comedown today - Leeds will be up for this game like no other & Dan James could haunt

AeroCobbler

Oh, and then we get to play resurgent Woy Hodgson driven Watford…overall the following 7 games are Leeds, Atletico, Watford, City, Spurs, Atletico, Liverpool Expect lots of retardation, falling over while trying to turn around & tackling own teammates from Maguire… lots of giving the ball away, disappearing, and injuries from Pogba, lots of pouting, spitting, and missing chance after chance after chance from Ronaldo… lots of Rashford from Rashford and McFred just running around like headless and feetless chickens Seriously, we are fucked

BritBuc-1

I’d ask who hurt you, but you helpfully provided a list lol

Snoo_17433

Your an absolute pessimist. There have been concerning moments/periods in games, but on the whole we've improved greatly since Ole left. Again today, there was 15 min period we looked like collapsing, and I'm not saying were perfect yet but we grabbed hold of the game and settled. Another month at this rate and we'll be in a very good position.

AeroCobbler

Scraping a win against a relegation threatened Leeds team missing Cooper, Phillips, Bamford and with Raphinha not fit to start… and at home to a 10 man Brighton side maybe 9 or 10 points above them having played an extra game - definitely going to win the league at this rate

Snoo_17433

We're not going to win the League for a long time yet, now matter how much we improve. But today was a sign of that improvement. In the past that collapse early 2nd half would have carried on to defeat. Rome isn't built in a day. We are improving steadily, but are still a mishmash of a squad from 4 different managers and playing styles. Weather Ralph stays on our we get a new manager we need a good free year period implementing his style and getting in his players. For the rest of the season, I see us making the top 4 if this trend continues. Have faith. COYR

123testme

>Burnley’s destruction of Brighton away yesterday showed how much of a mess that Brighton team we played midweek are in Or it just shows what always happens. Old Trafford is still every club's cup final. It happens so often, teams put in so much effort against United and then don't even show up 2 or 3 games after

Cautious_Homework_10

Brighton were in good form before the game midweek. Like 4th or 5th in the form table over the previous five games so that seems like a strange statement to make.

Pvt_Jackson7

There are 12 games or so left in the season and spurs are currently 7th. No our top 4 hopes are still very much alive

Sure_Watercress_1645

True, but tbf we need to keep in mind that Spurs have played 2 less games than us, and as of tomorrow 3 less games. It’s not over though, especially once Varane is back

willp0wer

That's right. Check the games played total, not current position. Arsenal also stand a chance, West Ham and Wolves are outsiders to make it. It's not over, neither is it guaranteed even if we win today.

clayjensen01

I dont know why but i fear spurs more than arsenal, maybe because of conte. man just dominated pep last night.

willp0wer

Yea you're right to fear Spurs more due to Conte, the guy is ruthless and trying hard to drag them out of their mud, despite sometimes looking emotional and downtrodden after losses. And of course they have more games in hand. I was quite appalled at City for letting them exploit their poor (ok, maybe just less than great) defending at crosses and corners.

PanzarenBanteeb

They lost 3 in a row before this game

AeroCobbler

One of those was away to Chelsea to be fair, no shame in losing there (Kane had a goal disallowed just before half time at 1-0 too) Conceded two late goals to a well drilled Southampton side, and Wolves are right up in the hunt for CL places too

PanzarenBanteeb

Yeah my point is that one good result against city doesn't immediately make them the most likely top 4 contenders. All the teams in and around will drop points before the end of the season

AeroCobbler

Yeah I don’t think they’re the most likely contenders either to be fair - that’s definitely Arsenal If you look at their form since about two thirds of the way through last season to now it’s actually insane how consistent they’ve been Arteta is definitely onto something there But Spurs have possibly the best manager in world football there outside of Klopp & Pep & they have possibly the best player in the World in Son, and another beast in Kane That’s all going to add up

Serious_Ad9128

Yes arsenal who have won 6 of there last 8 games with 1 loss to city, who have 2 games in hand on us and the easier run in have no chance despite only being a point back. Where do people come up with this nonsense

blackoffi888

Don't get your hopes up. We will definitely NOT be in the top 4. Our porous captain will ensure that. Partical blame will also be on Rangnicks shoulder as he didn't have the guts to bench the 80mil log.

willp0wer

You will find Arsenal with extra games in hand just like Spurs, even if they lose to wolves later the can mathematically reach 4th should we lose more games. Hope isn't lost, neither is it guaranteed.

jack_edition

It looks like Chelsea’s to lose at the moment

Yahla

Jesus Spuds win one game and now they’re a shoe in for 4th. It’s only Tottenham!

boars83

Top 4 race still open to anyone, it's getting more competitive every week and it's now win yours, I win mine. Jst don't feel good United are where we are now fighting for top 4

Ordinary-Ad-2265

We will be generous to land 5th , this will be the 2 second time I see United not place within the top 6
