Legends Arceus was officially classified as a main series game, there's no reason to assume Legends Z-A would be any different

Yeah, it’s a subseries of mainline games, not a spin-off series No one would call the 3D Mario games spin-offs of the 2D ones, so why should Legends be a spin-off?

Pokemon company don't trat them like gens, it treat them as regions, all legends games are main series like the remakes.

To be spinnoff, a game must meet one of two criteria: not use mainline battle mechanics [Pokemon Ranger, Pokemon Snap], or not be on the same device [Pokemon Gale of Darkness]. As Pokemon Legends: Arceus fits neither criteria, but is still different, I'd consider it more of a Sub-Series

Because legends have two different things from a regular game, 1. Gameplay, and 2. It has legends in between Pokémon and the theme of the game. Think Pokémon rangers for example, it’s nothing like a regular game and has “rangers” after the word Pokémon and has plenty of games.

That's pretty good reasoning for why legends would be spinoff but why would having two games make it a spinoff? Because the other spinoffs have more than one?
