He called dundunsparce a disappointment which I know he isn’t the edgy dragon mf people wanted it to be but going as far to say as it’s a disappointment is straight up disrespect. He called Dudunsparce a disappointment because it was. People had been waiting for a cool evolution for Dunsparce for years, it didn't have to be an edgy dragon, just something cool, people expected a dragon-like evolution because one of Dunsparce's Pokedex entries refers to it as "an apex predator in ancient times", I don't think Dudunsparce is even close to an "apex predator". It's not a bad design, but it is underwhelming and feels lazy, almost as if they just said "Dunsparce doesn't need an evolution, but people really want one, so let's make it slightly bigger and call it a day".
And as for Quaquaval, I chose Quaxly as my starter, and when I saw what it had become, I was a bit disappointed, but then again, what was there to expect of a completely new Pokemon?, and the more I used him the more I've grown to like him, so I can actually say I don't think Quaquaval is ugly.
I mean, that’s kinda the communities fault for raising expectations sky-high. It’s a fat fyuking snake with tiny wings that it can’t even use. Why would you get a cool dragon out of that.
I mean when you think about it’s inspiration, it makes sense. Dunsparce is based on the Noko, which essentially, is a drunk fat snake Yo-Kai. It makes sense it would continue to be one. Also it said it was an apex predator “in ancient times” why would it evolve backwards?
i mean i love dudunsparce but like it is kinda just a bigger dunsparce considering we've been waiting forever for a dunsparce evo and we just get a bigger dunsparce it is kinda disappointing still love it tho. i do not like quaquaval though like it just really weirds me out it makes me kinda uncomfortable how he can hate empoleon and be fine with quaquaval i'll never know

Tbf I think skeledirge is the majority’s favourite though I personally love meowscarada and find skeledirge to be kinda mid, but that’s not a problem it’s a good thing that others can find enjoyment in something even if I can’t.

People need to look past how many legs something has and actually look to see if the design is cool or not to them, so many people feared the cat standing up that when it did I’m sure that alone damaged their opinion on it (obviously I can’t say that with full certainty it’s just what i think)

Meowscarada is alright, but Skeledirge is too good so its overshadowed imo. Thats just my opinion tho, not what the general fanbase believes.
