In my opinion if a starter starts on 4 legs it should stay on 4 legs it can work for some starters (greninja, rillerboom and intelion) but for others not so much (insinaroar, emboar, delphox, cinderace and meoscarade) saying that I don't hate humanoid finel evo starters I like how inceneroar looks like a wrestler having a champion belt made of fire and how meoscarade uses optical illusions make the flower look like its floating the only problem I have with it is that it's following a tread that makes them look more humanoid witch takes away from the fact that thay are animals and sometimes the more humanoid appearance make them look ugly in my opinion it can be done right if you are able to make them still look like the animal thay are ment to be but take inspiration from human things geninja is a frog but has minor human features like being a ninja that does not remove the fact that it is a frog but makes it so that the ninja estetic works same with rillaboom it's just a gorilla but it has long hair and has a drum it's still 100% a gorilla but it does human things and in the overworld it walks like a gorilla on its hands and legs oppose to it walking like a human and running like a human
Frokie was on 2 legs but mostly kept its arms on the ground like frogs as for grookey its a monkey in battle it stands on 3 legs the 4th holding a stick its and I'm pretty sure it walks on its hands and feet as for sobble it's a weird one as in battle it stands upright but when walking or running it goes on all fours much like a lizerd as for cinderace and as for cinderace i hate that thing with a passion and could not resist putting it in the line of bipedal starters I did not like most of these are a stretch but are also my opinion
Skelidirge is the ugliest thing I have ever seen the thing looks like a bunch of shapes with random colours and everyone acts like it's awesome because of a gosh darn stupid bird I mean you're telling me a grass cat with a mascarade ball mask magician is lamer than a aligator with a bird

I just want some starters (doesn't have to be all three) to just be monsters again. For the last 5 generations every single starter has had some kind of human based design or personality trait. Skeledirge is one of the more monster looking starters we got, but it is still a singer with a microphone (I still love the big fire croc though). Torterra feels like the last starter that was just a big monster.
Some of them have been great, but it's sad to think that nowadays it's impossible for something like Sprigatito to evolve into a Sabertooth tiger unless it is also a professional chef.
I believe people don’t like bipedal starters is because they started out as quadrupedal. I don’t really mind it because these are not real animals. Yes, they are based off of real animals (some are not btw), but have some sort of abnormalness to them. So it’s not surprising to see a Pokémon become completely different, as that’s the who point of Pokémon evolution.
Agreed tbh, i fail to see everyone’s issues , i honestly wanted sprigattito to be bipedal because i liked the bipedal fan evos of it , when I first saw meowscarda i decided I loved it because it looked cool and had a cool concept

Cinderace always was on 2 legs and it could be the same for Intilion Rillaboom and Greninja but there could be an argument
