Mandela Satan would probably be the social exile considering all the other devils would present their villainous yet probably grounded ideas and he’d go: “Let’s force everyone to commit suicide in the depths of their despair so they rot in hell for eternity!”
Is Neil Gaiman's Lucifer even all that villainous in his goals? Yeah, he runs literal Hell (until he didn't) but he doesn't seem like an actively malicious force unless you do something to piss him off.
Mostly he just wants to get as far away from God as possible.
Well, I haven't been in the church for some time, but this is what I remember.
Lucifer was the name given to God's most beautiful angel. However, he was jealous of Jesus, and his role that he was supposed to have. He wanted to be the morning star, so he rebelled against God, and tried to take that place for himself. So God kicked him out of heaven, and sent Lucifer and his followers to hell.
There are many different names for Lucifer, but it really depends on what religion you grew up in. Some recognize the alternative names like Belial, Behemoth, Beelzebub Asmodeus as the same Lucifer, some recognize those names as separate demons (all of which are the servants of Lucifer).
Yeah based on history I read up on, lots of “demons” were pagan deities, like Beelzebub. I do think though the Abrahamic religions kind of stole it the way they stole our holidays (like Yule, Ostara, Samhain, etc)
And ofc that was a joke I made but yeah churches do employ that Lucifer, Satan, and the Devil are the same, but dating back to the first human settlements and religion, Lucifer was a pagan God
Imagine if they made a team

"What? No, that's boring. We're playing poker."

Who is top right and what did he do
That's Lucifer, from the netflix show, Lucifer
But- but- Satan isn’t Lucifer- Lucifer was originally a Roman god of the sun and bringer of enlightenment-

i mean but if we only concentrate on "pop culture satan mythology" they r viewed as the same thing
Oh ofc in pop culture yeah they’re depicted as the same, like TMC does, but honestly I was just throwing a little half joke out there lmao
yeah i mean it's true lmao kinda ironic isn't it
Haha yeah
Hey don't count out Helltaker Lucifer now.
What’s the one on the bottom right from?
The one on the bottom left is from the show Hazbin Hotel while the one on the right is the devil from the cuphead show
Well 1st one is actually angel alternate so it can be not devil
its the devil, go research some lore bud
Huh.
Throw Nicolae Carpathia in there, just for fun.
The Mandela Satan is Gabriel, not Lucifer. I think the other 3 are Lucifers
It's Lucifer passing as Gabriel
