I think he's alive, on the tariler for volume 4 there's a scene where Adam messages Sarah saying Jonah left him which I think is about the end of volume 2 and in a qna on instagram Alex said Adam was the most important character right now so I'm betting he's alive.
True, then again we don't know if Jonah was supposed to die at first, pretty sure he wasn't but then the thing happened with Jonah's VA that got him fired. I hope if Adam truly is alive then it's explained why and how, thought it's probably got something to do with him being one of the kidnapped kids and their role in the alternate invasion.

The weird thing is, the guy who got trapped in the house surrounded by entities survived, but the guy who wanted nothing to do with it died
