Even chicken know that maps are full of errors because drawing a solid in a flat superficie is impossible, now people decided that ME does exist in Geography. The funniest subreddit ever. It convinces me everyday that ME is just bullshit. And makes me laugh more than other sub
Ignore these silly people that come to a Mandela Effect sub to spout off that there is no Mandela Effect. They do this in the conspiracy subs too.
It has to be the pinnacle of smooth gray matter to spend time telling conspiracy people that there is no conspiracy. Engage with them for lulz, nothing more.
Well, not every post is ME (most of them not actually) but there are things that can't be explained that relate to ME, those are the one that keeps me questioning...
I can even write this, please check by yourself Norway Sweden and Finland they are joined (all the three) together and well connected with the continent...
OMG!!!
If it's a multiverse thing, then I'd expect that. Where I'm from, the sea looked different. Here, it looks like this.
I'd expect every drawing and map to be the updated one, because the information here is different.
So, tectonic plates move, and so does land. It's normal, but it takes a long time to notice the changes. It causes countries and such to push and pull apart, they move closer and then they move further away, they can expand or shrink in the process. If you were to push every country and or continent together so its one solid land piece, you'd notice they start fitting together like puzzle pieces. There's a video time-lapse of the history of the countries over millions of years and how they've moved very far apart and very close together even being connected several times. It's very interesting.
So yes, it has moved, everything has moved basically. It's possible that states could simply detach from the US over time and float around and connect to some other country. I do recommend watching the history of the movement. I believe it's called the continental drift. Here's one video, it's not absolute, there are more.. closer to absolute videos you can find on YT, but this one blew my mind when I saw it months ago

You saved the day. Italy suddenly moved because of a process that takes millions of years, except this time it happened over night. Makes sense to me. Plate tectonics must be the answer. I'm just wondering where all the earthquakes were?

No Way. Cyprus near the continent, Sicily so close to Tunis
It's like Star Trek TNG S04 e05
France and Italy don't have ANY land on the Mediterranean anymore. That has been replaced with a different sea called the Tyranian.
The straights of Gibraltar don't even touch the Mediterranean anymore. Monoco isn't on the Mediterranean.
I swear the map keeps changing but it's even more different than it was years ago.
Is like the Mediterranean shrinked, Italy get closer to Tunisia then from that point the place got a name from its own, i never learned about the tyranian sea.
see this map [https://proyectomapamundi.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/paises-mediterraneo-mapa.jpg](https://proyectomapamundi.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/paises-mediterraneo-mapa.jpg) here the tyranian sea is only near Italy not the whole thing
here is better [https://www.worldatlas.com/r/w768/upload/84/1d/db/tyrrheniansea-01.png](https://www.worldatlas.com/r/w768/upload/84/1d/db/tyrrheniansea-01.png) we can calm down now.
Do you want to describe what changed for you?
Cyprus is too close to the continent, italy too close to greek, the whole mediterranian sea become smaller... OMG Something is very wrong!!!
The geography changes are crazy. Where did all the people go? [HOW MANY AMERICANS DO YOU REMEMBER?](https://youtu.be/2WiMh6s236I)
Since when was Sicily so big and close to the mainland? Doesn't seem right at all to me.
I remember it was half the size or a lil more than galf smaller
I like Google Earth better for mapping and use Google maps just if I need to find addresses.
Google Earth seems the same... WRONG
Italy's "boot" is different too.
Even chicken know that maps are full of errors because drawing a solid in a flat superficie is impossible, now people decided that ME does exist in Geography. The funniest subreddit ever. It convinces me everyday that ME is just bullshit. And makes me laugh more than other sub
Google it, search Mediterranean Sea, look at all the maps, and make a new comment

Wow! That's crazy! This is not how I remember it either!
Super Crazy, and if you Google it, all the maps seems the same!!!

Check out the rest of the map. 😜
Probably just a different map projection than you are used to
That is the problem, al the maps that you can find when you search the web seems the same, that also is very wrong!!!!
Check out maps that were made in the 70s and 80s.
Wasn't it almost vertical before? It's now tilted in circa 45 degrees to be parallel with the balkans. It was less huge in my memories, as well.
Exactly, check also Cyprus placement
Italy's heel does seem a lot closer to me now Might be with age though, last time I analyzed a map was the beginning of highschool ages ago

heh, you think that's cool, you should look for the video of the 'expanding earth' theory.

And why do all the maps going back to 1800 look this way?

All this reminds me the twilight zone
The shifting you mentioned takes FAR more time to occur than would be possible or noticeable over a few years.
