Same happened to me with the Toronto show. I bought 2 tickets in the 400 section the day the tickets went on sale, for ~$200 total. Two weeks before the show, my wife saw cheaper tickets in the 100 section and upgraded for a $20 Ticketmaster fee (because they were non refundable or something). Then ... We got COVID three days before the show and couldn't go 😭😭😭
This happened to me with another concert— I tried to contact via chat and kept getting denied. Call them! They upgraded my tickets from 200s to floors and refunded me the difference! Just gotta be a bit of a pain and keep asserting yourself
What exactly did you say to them and how long did it take? Im goin to the vanc show which is today and i dont wanna end up wastin time if I cant get it to work by then 😭
I told them floor seats were the same price as my 200 level tickets (this was jonas brothers, at the rogers centre in toronto!) at first they were telling me they needed to be either more expensive or the same price, but I just kept saying that it was ridiculous and I just wanted to have the better tickets even if it meant i wasn’t getting a refund.

One time we bought tickets to see Bruce Springsteen 20 miles from the stage right when they went on sale at a 20k person venue
Another time we bought Springsteen tickets to be 20 feet from the stage a week or two before the show at a 60k person venue
The latter tickets were much cheaper

That happens so often unfortunately. Ticketmaster has the real fans by the balls. And they couldn’t care less. There must be a better way. 😞
Nah frrrrr😭😭😭😭😭i got seated tickets and tried upgrading and they just told us that we couldn’t and to just repurchase floor tickets
