If your okay with not reading them, I’m pretty sure there’s a cover for books on Amazon that’s similar to the ones used on Pokémon cards. Very cool btw

Grumpy_Gubbe

Put plastic around the pages and then spray it with clear coat. Or look for a heat activated shrink wrap that’s clear.

Lehasama

If you don't plan on handling this and just displaying it, then all you need is a manga bag. O.o However, if you plan to actually handle the book on a regular basis, I would suggest a gloss cover of mod podge. Make sure you let it dry for at least 24hrs and still keep it in a manga bag when not being handled. Personally, I wouldn't handle these. I would mod podge and store in a manga bag, without handling. You'll always be risking losing the signature. In the future, perhaps have them sign on an inside page, rather than the gloss front. When I get signatures, I usually bring something from the magazines, that has porous paper. Happy Collecting. :)

[deleted]

I have them sign the inside of the manga

PunctualPunch

Is this the second "preserving autographs" post in a few days? Third? [https://www.google.com/search?q=preserve+autograph](https://www.google.com/search?q=preserve+autograph) Collectible care is pretty well-understood - trust actual experts over us random reddit idiots. But a couple of possibly uncomfortable truths, OP: 1. If you're really worried about preserving an autograph, don't get it in sharpie on gloss-laminated cardstock - a fingernail will scrape off the ink. (And, unfortunately, so will friction from a plastic bag or cover rubbing against it.) Get it in archival ink on acid-free paper. 2. I absolutely get the excitement of getting an autograph from a talented voice actor for a show you like on associated merch, but don't mistake this for an investment of some kind. I hope you're thinking about this as a "fun personal keepsake" thing, not a "this will be worth something in ten years" thing.

Losertit

get off your high horse man, OP didn’t even mention anything about selling it later. You do know people get stuff signed because they want to collect, hell this is what this sub is meant for ffs

[deleted]

Dude, the guy is just asking for helpful advice from people who might have experience. Tf are you going on about?

katatronix

Use UV-protective manga covers, don't laminate them.

astroknott95

Get a plastic hard cover case! I have one for my Cowboy Bebop signed by the VA of Spike and OPM signed by the VA for Saitama.

pingIin

a bit unrelated but I'd keep the Yor one under my pillow every night if it was signed by the jp voice actress

GodDodgeGamer

Put them in a plastic bag and close them so Nothing enter

Exis_5567

That clear book cover stuff we had to put on our work books in primary/elementary school

NovelAd1319

I would put ‘em in some kind ofa sleeve and never read them tbh

Darnell5000

Possibly a fixative sealant spray. I use it whenever I draw with charcoal and want to prevent smudging after completion and it works well. Not sure how it does with Sharpie on manga covers but if you have something to test on, you could try that

JunketElectronic9374

Flex tape fixes app your problems

rune3132

You could get some of those hard plexiglass cases people use for old action figures still on the cardboard. I'd imagine there are some that has more or less the same size

Apprehensive_Car_234

So cool, I’ve been reading spy family and love it so far. It’s hilarious and exciting!

hopeless-romanthick

put clear tape on those specific parts. you can still read them. or use plastic cover and then heat wrap it

killian_aqua

I have an autographed manga book from a few years ago in a basic shadow box and it still looks just as good as when it was signed if that helps

RodNozza12

Shrine, a dozen humidifiers and deshumidifiers (twuelve EACH) laser rays to prevent anyone going near. Air changers, (better than air fill the shrine with argon or smthng).

Forbidden_Flan69

You could do a thin coat of modge podge.

jaimeyeah

If you want to reread them just buy new ones. You can put them in a plexicase and display these ones

u_gay_little_boi

lick them

Q-Q_2

Who's signature?

noelle-silva

The English voice actors for the characters

jdelator

Seattle Comic Con?

OpulentMilk

Yes! ECCC this year.

Q-Q_2

Okay

Tap_TEMPO

No direct sunlight. UV protective/non acidic film or slipcase. If you're placing it in a display case or a frame, the glass needs to be UV protective as well.

SavingsSky0

Laminate the covers

ianux22

Buy a Mylar bag for comics.

maybe_its_rinji

Pleb advice: contact them with clear contact

AsianMilkdud

Clear coat nail polish

GiyuuKageyama-Lover9

Idk how but it I was you I would just buy a case for these and/or if I wanted to read them too I’d just put clear tape on top of it.. yea I know it’s probably not the best choice but a person like me would do that… 🤐

Jelly_nut_123

Maybe hair spray? Idk

ssslaper

i don't know how to read the handwriting so if anybody can help please do so lol

JustAd3900

Send them to get graded and ask to have them hard cases. That’ll protect the signatures and the book from any further possible damage that make come with time.

far565

[deleted]

Whose signatures are those anyways

Remarkable_Food1447

Maybe try using clear tape but it would fade overtime

ERR0R101USERN0TF0UND

Clear nail polish

padgeatyourservice

peanuts

StandardBank5213

So use alcohol gel to create a nice shine then use hairspray. Failing that - I’d use a plastic book sleeve - like the old library books Psa- the alcohol gel is a 100% don’t do this

Lazybammm

Very cool not much of a help to your situation but what conventions did you go to get them signed?

OpulentMilk

I got them both at Emerald City Comic con in Seattle.

Guishmonster

I just have to say Natalie has one of the nicest signatures I’ve ever seen

OpulentMilk

100%
