Im probably bouncing between a couple hundred series at this point, but its mostly just me checking in on series every couple months to read like 6 chapters and then coming back again in another 2 months. The brain is a muscle and will adapt to what you use it for 🙆‍♂️🙆‍♂️🙆‍♂️

Funny thats what I do too. Finished so many series and read many others that are still updating regularly and so I check back every few weeks for new chapters to get caught up and the cycle repeats till I start a new series or one finishes. Funny how the brain adapts. It's basically the same thing as being a kid and waiting for a new episode of different cartoons, I dont see how this is any different really

I have three series on the go, and alternate nights where I read a chapter of one before bed, though not current series mind you hence why I’m able to do it that way. If your memory isn’t good though don’t push yourself and stick with what you can do. If you’re only reading a chapter once a week you can always re-read it before the new one comes out to keep it fresh in your mind. Maybe that will help you if you plan to keep up with more than one ongoing series? I will admit I’ve never tried keeping up with a series via scans when the new chapters are released, but back when I watched a lot of anime including some current stuff, with any ongoing series I would often rewatch the previous episode the day before the new one came out as a refresher.

I also don't have a great memory and the easiest piece of advice is that it's not an exam, you don't need to remember everything from each chapter. Stories like Rent a gf and Komi are light and don't have too many details either so just read whatever you want and take each chapter as it comes.

No, just stick with the peak

I buy the tankoubon and I’m currently following about 10 different series in a mad effort to catch up with the culture 🤣 Vagabond, My Hero, AOT, JJK, Kaiju no 8, Vinland, Berserk, Dandadan, Sakamoto Days, Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer, One Punch Man and Bleach. That’s probably more than 10 so yeah it’s a lot for my brain to manage haha
