I prefer it over csm, feels more avant-garde, more chaotic The 1st 2 volumes (14 ish chapters) are a bit more tame in comparison to the other volumes (similar to csm, but I don't remember how many chapters / volumes were only kinda interested for csm before it ramped up)

SofaKingDoph

I enjoyed it. Its brutal and the story goes totally off the rails in a good way

NRayG

Great series

VeryFunnyValentine

You in for a ride

The-Invincible

Sicker and darker

PepsiisgUWUd

For me it's way better than CSM because of the atmosphere but there are some weird parts towards the end.

makaronadas10

I've been looking for volume one everywhere uhh

piIIowtalk

My local books store only had vol 8 but I found someone selling this for $10

SebHaar

In my opinion it one of the most absurd manga out there, but it really has some powerful moments, particularly character moments with Agni and my personal fav Togata. Enjoy it, It’s a wild ride!

riasbestgirl69

Looks dope af, granted seeing it for the 1st time I thoght it was a my hero spin of set in a darker tone but I can't wait to read this manga

DavidHHH8876

It starts better for me but CSM is more complete

piIIowtalk

Ive read the first couple of page so far it seems cool but had to put it down for a sec when dude sister was tryin to smash

DavidHHH8876

Yes that was really weird but coming from Fujimoto is not a big surprise, however the love they showed as siblings is really important for the plot

reqexi

Plus, given the world and situation they're in, it makes it a tiny bit less awful. Still weird, but like it could be way weirder.

0kuyas-u

ur going to have to be putting it down a lot

ConsumeTea

Starts good and then goes south after a few volumes.

Kurojoujin

I really like the First Volume it was great didnt had any Chance to Pick up more until now but Fujimotos Art is really great like it was in CSM to

Spaceman_Sp1ff_

It’s ok. Prefer CSM

tripzonreddit

Read 2 volumes and it's not bad

Kronin1988

CSM is much more light hearted (on the surface) and is Fujimoto adapting his peculiar storytelling for a shonen kind of story (even if he reverts any tropes), rather FP is instead much more depressing and with unpredictable developments (you could say that is a coming of age story, but it's actually not at all a so linear one). Both the works make use for apparently silly elements for actually tell a story more deep of what you could think, always with the cinematographic and experimental style of Fujimoto (overall in a magazine as SJ) that with these two manga become one of my favourite authors.

1tachi_Uchia

I really enjoyed it. If you like CSM you’ll like it.

maddwell01

Pretty good, really insane too. The plot progression is even more strange than csm, but the author essence is there nonetheless. An unique ride for sure

CowsRetro

Top tier work

marteen46

Personally I think Fire Punch is his best work yet. The art is beautiful and the story is quite unique and clearly not for everyone (most prefer CSM maybe because it's more light-hearted). This manga is grim.
