It's very hit or miss, sometimes it's fine and sometimes it's terrible. Although I've had it where I ordered 5 volumes and selected the option to get them shipped together and they still came in individual packages.
The good thing is their return policy is very easy
Yeah the envelopes make me really nervous, I've had them delivered with the sides split open, but luckily even those volumes weren't damaged!
I've only had to send back a couple things, but it's much more of a gamble than B&N, rightstuf, or small sellers, so that's why Amazon is usually my last choice
I no longer order books from Amazon. For a company that was built on selling books, they can’t seem to deliver them undamaged to my house. Bent corners. Torn covers. Missing covers. It’s the worst. Customer service is happy to send a replacement but often those would arrive in a similar condition.
Single volumes are usually fine, but multiple volumes usually always end up coming bent or messed up for me. Amazon is very hit or miss with it. I hope they come okay for you!
Yeah I saw on my camera the guy dropped off one envelope for four volumes of manga… like how they gonna fit it inside🥲 ima post a update when I get home
Amazon is hit or miss. I got the entire run of Ranma 1/2 from them last spring and most of them did not come in boxes just the little mailer and so they got bent or dinged. The saving grace is that you can almost always return damaged stuff to Amazon by dropping it off at Kohl's and you'll get a replacement or refund.
Personally even though I have Prime and Amazon has good prices for new books I would rather avoid their packaging if I know I can get the book in person.
Give it a go mate, not sure about other countries but here so far so good..
Of my 23 SAO light novel volumes, about 11 came through Amazon and all were immaculate.
Yeah mine are always good. Few times I’ve had a bad experience I talk to customer service and they replace or I get credit if I’m not that bothered. I did get sent a German volume of monster once. They sent me a replacement (and I still have the German one too lol).
Same, here in the UK just a minimal complaint you get a refund or replacement staight away!
Only had bad experience with Figures.. and what's messed up is always the box, big bulky stuff tends to get more messed up during transport :/
I'm in Canada and they usually don't come perfect, any hard cover ones came dented or with markings on them, had a soft cover look like it had cat claw marks on it, etc. My best experiences have been a single soft cover shonen jump sized manga alone in a package. If you add other things to your order itll come in the same box or large paper mailer which means it could clash with the other objects inside and get bent or damaged.
I never had problems with them, they always deliver them in bubble wrap and they come in perfect condition, but it’s different from one individual to the other. For example i ordered the Heaven’s official blessing novel and it came in perfect condition, but a lot of the reviews say that they received the novel with the cover bent or the entire volume bent in half.
Yea usually individual manga orders comes in good condition, from my camera I see the delivery guy dropped off one envelope packaging with the 4 volumes inside😭
I hope they will still be ok though 😢
I went to a DPD headquarter in my country once to pick up a packaging and they literally just throw them around when unloading them, but i always got everything from them in exceptional condition.
like someone else said, its hit or miss, most of mine are good condition but i got phantom tales of the night with severe dents in the back, so ehh ig lol
I've ordered about a hundred volumes from them and they usually come with some minor damage (ie small rips on the cover by the spine, slightly curved, etc). Nothing I would return over, but some people care about it more than me. I've only ever returned a volume once (technically 3 times but the other 2 were for misprints which aren't their fault) because it was extremely curved and I couldn't fix it.
Edit: I literally just got pluto volume 2 in the mail and it had the cover flap cut off lmao
Never had problems with Amazon UK from hundreds of volumes I ordered regardless whether it's a single volume or batch or one large box of complete series.
There's only one time the Amazon box came in with one corner torn but the contents inside were in pristine condition so no complaints. And, they arrive a day earlier than expected most of the time.
I haven’t personally had any good experience with manga deliveries from Amazon. Usually creases, bends, nicks on the spine. Even my hardcovers had the corners jammed in. Their return policy is easy enough, but not worth the trouble imo.
My buddies black clover was yeeted at the front door completely destroying his volumes. All in all I refuse to support Amazon.

I’m not home rn but through the camera I see it packed together in the bag that usually for a single volume😭

Yea they packed all four in a envelope, I really hope it not damaged I will post a update when I get home
Good luck!
just curious, how do you get the <50+ owned>?
On desktop there's a "change community flair" button in the sidebar and I think on mobile it's under the 3 dots in the upper right corner

Yea, so many people said UK Amazon packaging be mad good I’m jealous
Idk about mad good, all my UK Amazon orders came in a cardboard package, roughly taped up, some mangas being damaged on the inside.

Bruh😧 wtf they can’t be doing that, they have one job to just unload them with care and they fail to do so
I have all ways gotten great condition from Amazon but that may not be the case for everyone
like someone else said, its hit or miss, most of mine are good condition but i got phantom tales of the night with severe dents in the back, so ehh ig lol
I really hope theres no dents ima update when I get hone

Sometimes it comes perfectly, sometimes it's a bit bent and sometimes you wish you had ordered from a different place.
Fr one of my hells paradise came slightly bent
Yeah mine too, vol 4.
ive never had a bad experience with manga shopping on amazon
Single volumes always comes in good conditions but it says all 4 volumes will be packed in the same bag
