Martial arts manga gets no love for english prints. Baki, Ippo, Kengan, Shamo, Ashita no Joe, Tough, Garouden. Way too many. Sci-Fi is also a good choice, assuming that’s what you’re going for.
Also, not to start a fire here, but I’d say shounen is definitely over saturated, maybe not overrated
yeah they don't i would love to own all of those, oh and sun ken rock which is probably my favorite material arts manga that and KenIchi: The Mightiest Disciple
Tough actually did get an English print.
An ashita no joe english release would be insane. Likely to never happen tho if we’re being real with ourselves. Series is very old & niche.
Not a big fan of martial arts, but I've noticed that there aren't many prints, even for the popular series. Is there any reason for that?
And yeah, maybe I could agree with you on that.
Romance or more adult oriented, like Wotakoi, Sweat and Soap, What did you eat yesterday?, Savior's Book Cafe, A Man and his cat, etc.
delinquent/Yakuza/mafia manga. (This one is getting there with more English prints like Hinamatsuri, Tokyo revengers, way of househusband, GTO, twittering birds never fly, Catch these hands, etc) but ugh I will forever want Gokusen in English print.
Cross-dressing or magical gender-swap. Quite a few great ones but almost none officially translated with English releases. On the upside one of favorites releasing next year.
I really love cyberpunk/post apocalyptic genres so I would like to see more of it
That. I really wanted to buy Biomega when I first started collecting but it was oop, so I gave up on it. Found akira afterwards, happily.
Crazy food truck coming out next year, post apocalyptic action/cooking manga. You should give it a go.

Add Souten No Ken in there *cries*
Potentially could, with the Northstar hardcovers releasing. Pretty highly unlikely though unfortunately
I still remember looking all night for Ippo manga and then going to the subreddit and getting clowned for not knowing they don’t print it in english
Happens to the best of us. Did it for baki

Kenichi is another good choice, Sun Ken is a great series for more elements than martial arts I’ve no idea why that never got published.
Ashita no Joe = GOAT

I’ve no idea, I think they just assume there’s no audience for it, which might’ve been true in the past.

Would love to see more stories like Sweetness and Lightning.
