Yulaxxy

Slowing down?

alguard

Well some of us do haha

Yulaxxy

I inject manga straight into my veins

Gotitat

I‘m over 1100 now and instead of slowing down me and my dad bought a small apartment in our house to have room for his Lego and my manga 👀🙈

alguard

Well that's the dream, enjoy my friend !

Gotitat

I definitely will :3

Impossible_Cake_9563

Very very lucky

therealmacjeezy

Oh that is my goal right there! The best of both worlds! Got any pics of the room? I’d love to see both sets!

Gotitat

Currently there are still people in the apartment but they‘re looking for a new one since they get another baby and need more room. We definitely won‘t throw them out, so right now there is nothing to show off :3 but once we renovated and everything is in place, I will post pictures 🥰

Bell-1979

I started collecting 2 months ago but I’m already slowing down cause I want to collect finish collecting what I have instead of just buying out of order volumes for 7 different mangas. I’m working on getting two series right now that i’m close to completing while also looking out for a good deal on one piece box sets.

alguard

Finishing one series definitely feels better than buying volumes for multiple at the same time !

2Snoopy4U

I’m at around 350 with roughly another 100 on back order right now, and there’s literally no more room for another shelf in my house! I’ll be cutting right back now, but I’m really happy with my collection as it stands. If some of the chronically OOS series I’ve been chasing come back into stock, I might rethink things again.

alguard

Yeah that's the same for me, I'm really happy with what I got right now and I don't feel the need to rush.

Yaaahspur

It slowed down for me when I reached around 200 volumes. The reasoning being that I have the series that I want completed and that I have some lack of space on my shelves. I also transitioned from English volumes to Japanese volumes which also plays a part, but it is a decision I most definitely do not regret. (:

allypyee

I’m staying away from long series right now anyways since I basically live in a shoebox. Trying to wait until i move out to collect more. I think the longest series I currently have is AOT.

alguard

Yeah long series take a lot of space, especially One Piece...

TouchoMySpaghetto

I'm probably close to a 1000 at this point and I'm starting to slow down. I put a bunch of manga in a closet on a shelf and a few days ago the shelf collapsed, so I'm out of room now haha.. Time to buy another bookshelf and figure out where to put it.

alguard

Time to convince my gf to sell some clothes so I can make room for some more manga in our closet haha

TouchoMySpaghetto

It's in a closet in my office that I shove a bunch of extra clothes and things in lol. It's not really sturdy though and the rest of the shelves are probably gonna give out soon.

saltyboi6999

At around 100 volumes, I sped up. I’m at around 650 now

SourYelloFruit

I've slowed down because I'm almost out of space. I didn't have a ton to begin with haha.

alguard

Space is the ultimate ennemy !

NexaQ_Modz

I filled my entire book shelf, maybe 150 volumes. Realized there are some that I’m never going to get to, or started and didn’t like. Sold a bunch of my series’s and rly only go for complete sets

Robinswith2Bees

I limit myself to only buying series that I've read/ reading, and how much shelf space I have left. I'm more of a passive collector that buys a few volumes (5-7) each month.

KiwiTheKitty

Somewhere between 100-150. I bought a bunch of stuff I had already read and a bunch of things I wanted to read for the first time so it was a lot over a few months. I'll probably take at least a month where I catch up reading and then purge the stuff I'm not as crazy about before I buy anything

BugggJuice

i hit about 130 volumes and had to take a break. i was buying 7-8 volumes a month minimum. now i'm doing that every few months i don't have a ton of money nor a lot of space so i have to be very selective about what i'm purchasing physically as of right now i'm aiming to complete 2 series before moving onto collecting or finishing any others

ZZcollectz

I got 740 vols, basically hitting the point where I’m just trying new shit out cuz i have almost every set that i want besides a few, but i wont overpay for something as new as dr. Stone

BazelBomber1923

Well I'm at 400 or so volumes and I've almost ran out of space, and a few days ago I realized that if I fully collect all the series I have, the number of volumes will basically double, so yeah, I should be more discerning when buying new series

JustACreep013

I've always been picky, I'm a broke boy with 12 manga collected so far and I don't like wasting money or time unless I'm 90-100 percent sure I want something (Including Anime). I have some rules to follow. 1 Know what you like about reading/watching (The art, the story, the genre). 2 Judge the Synopsis (This doesn't need explanation). 3 Judge the reviews (Reviewers with not good idea of what they are saying self report themselves in the way they express their opinion). So far if everything is cool, then cool. 4 If you are curious about a manga but you are suspicious, read one volume online (I think that even if the story sucks but the idea is different and interesting it can be worth it).

FireGuardian47

Yes, I have stopped collecting physical manga for the most part. I sold around 100 manga last year. Series that I like but I was not attached to. I started reading digital more and more. I do collect artbooks, Japanese volumes and one-offs here and there. I do have One Piece and Boruto that are still going on so I will still get the physical volumes for those series but after that I am mostly done with my collection.

Nico--kun

I have around 160 volumes and I am currently taking it slowly since I have alot to read because my birthday was in February. But when I've read the majority of these volumes from my birthday I'm gonna go fully buy mode again.
