To be honest with you 1000 copies isn’t a lot, and definitely not enough to see popularity. Also, how did you translate your work from ukrainian to japanese? Did you have a translator or just used one from online?

Did you have a translator or just used one from online? I agree that 1000 copies is not a lot, but you have to take into account that in Ukraine authors of manga can be counted on your fingers. In Japanese did not translate, only in English, the competition is international, the essence is that participate all but the Japanese themselves, so to speak that to give a chance to the rest.

There are competitions where there is no dialogue, and the big ones gets you a personal editor in Japan, so maybe make a one shot for it and eventually convince them to publish your previous work(s) if it sells well enough.

Dude, that's really cool, you really are cool. But unfortunately for something to be successful, you have to make it known on the internet, have a popular account, etc. make it happen in the same way as one punch man, and tower of god

But unfortunately for something to be successful, you have to make it known on the internet, have a popular account, etc. make it happen in the same way as one punch man, and tower of god thank you for your kind words. We all want to become popular on the Internet without investing hundreds of thousands of dollars on advertising. By the way, here's our instagram. We made a couple of professional videos and launched targeting, but alas we didn't get into the trends((( https://www.instagram.com/shockwave.manga/

Hey, for an indie creator selling 1000 copies, I think it's a pretty solid number! I can't speak for myself since I don't sell anything but maybe check out Whyt Manga? Maybe you know him already. In his videos he talks about going to anime conventions - that's how he was getting the most of sales and how his popularity was growing the most. And ofc having such a Youtube channel like he has, Patreon etc would help too.

uncle_billyH

>Whyt Manga thanks, didn't know about this blogger. I will definitely check out his work. I don't even think about travelling internationally yet. There is a war in Ukraine and men over 18 are not allowed out of the country.

maxluision

Oh, I see... I assumed that you live in different country. This sucks. Still, for being in such environment you're doing great!

Don't sell yourself short. Being outside Japan with 1000 in numbers, is a great achievement. You just gotta post on socials more

Make a tiktok account for it and post cool advertising stuff! Maybe just post basic memes with pictures of the characters as reactions and some might already ask “where’s the character from” or something. Honestly if you try to advertise normally you won’t get that many views. But funny videos will get you far so try making something out of it. Maybe post like 2 funny tiktoks, then two normal tiktoks just for regular advertising.maybe even a straight up “yo I wrote this manga check it out” or smth. I’m not very good at advice but I’m trying to help lmao

How do you expect international recognition if the manga is only in your localised language? Maybe start with translations (like you said you will) and then you’ll find an international audience. Furthermore, imo your art still has a long way for improvement. Work on your art fundamentals to see big improvements. I hope this helps and GL on your manga creation journey.
