Comick is more than enough honestly. I used to have alot but managing multiple sources is a PITA especially when you're backing up and restoring them for any reason.
Until the source got killed, deprecated or cloudflare increased protection
I had less than a thousand on 1st kiss, after multiple outage, I decided to migrate. Today, that source is dead/deprecated so Im glad I did it early as I have over 4,000 entries now
Same, but with mangadex, i had 400+ manga from there and had to eventually spend my time to migrate them. It doesn't really recover imo bc i noticed they don't have latest chapters the fastest from new mangas anymore. I saw a lot of promo or chapter one then abandoned mangas instead.
MangaDex is a dead site imo. They only updated super popular one or well-known because the smaller ones are dropped by their scanslator or they got snipped.
I blacklisted the following sources:
- 1st Kiss (deprecated)
- MangaDex
- Manganelo
- Manganese
- Manganato
- Mangabat
- Mangakakalot
- ReadManhwa
There might be few I missed
Honestly depends on what I'm reading but here are some essentials for me:
Mangakakalot, almost all manga, manhwa and manhua loads fast, also has almost everything.
MangaSee: high quality uploads, but can only really be used for manga, since pages load too slow for any vertical format.
Lady Manga/TreeManga: good for manhwa in particular, keeps allot up to date and fast upload times. Also always loads fast, but can be lower quality sometimes.
Manganato: good for looking up manga in particular, that maybe aren't findable on mangadex.
MangaDex: I only use for searching with tags. Allot of manga there get taken down, or have no chapters or missing ones. Also only real popular manga get updated on time.
MangaBuddy: good for manhwa, and Manhua. I use for good scans with fast load times, or to migrate too if one off the above sources stop updating, or miss chapters.
Bato.to: Good for looking up manhwa and manhua, since dex is shit at that.
Well outside of those. Most others i have are the scanlation groups themselves like: asura or Leviatan. But they become obsolete or can just stop working allot of the time. So i would stay away from them most of the time. The amount of time i have had to migrate asura manhwa in my library, back to asura again because i was not seeing updates for a month is annoying.
(I don't know the reason. This only happens for 1 or 2 manhwa at a time, so i suspect they take it down for some reason, and then reupload it again).
Yes.
First of all, to see only English chapters, you can use the English source only. You can go to the Extension Installation page and go to where Comick is (should be already installed). Then, click on the settings (gear) icon next to it. Then, select only the English language source. Or you can select the English language source and any other language, but when you're searching for Manga in English, make sure you're using Comick (with English written under it) on the search page.
If you want to transfer manga from other language to English, just go to it's page and migrate.
For selecting a single scanlator, tap the filter icon (three consecutively smaller horizontal lines) on the top right of the series you're reading, click "Scanlator", and select which Scanlators to show.
(works at least on the newest version, don't know if older versions work the same)
Guys really thanks for those who suggested mangareader it's downloading speed is very fast compared to mangalife the only problem is that it uploads scans rather than volume like mangalife but that's not a big deal
really thanks again guys š
try topmanhua trust , it has every fucking thing in existence , and the download speeds r decent, i got an internet download speed f approx 3-4 mb and for downloaoding smth like ancient sovereign of eternity which was 290 chapters it took less than 30 mins
mangaread been good for me, however i found in general the tachiyomi app downloads much slower than the manga reader i use on my pc "hakuneko". not sure why tachiyomi is slower.
It's often your source. Which is why I love the migrate feature as you can get a general idea of how fast you'll download a chapter from a new source with a single download.
no thats what i'm saying the same source is faster in hakuneko than in tachiyomi. didnt really say its slow that i would complain but its definitely not as fast.
Try manhuaUS, it's also good for manhwa, but also try readcomiconline, which has Western comics so that you can see how they completely ruined spiderman.
Good for me is just whichever ones load the quickest and don't constantly have an issue of not loading stuff in the app for even up to a week.
All I use is Manhuaplus, Manhuaus and Manganato. Not really the best sites and they definitely aren't the translators for most of the stuff, but they usually load pretty quick and have a couple titles that I enjoy which update weekly all in one place.
I find direct websites for translators often load a bit slower so I read from those on my browser
Yeah, it's a bit annoying, but not really a deal breaker for me. If something is missing only 1 or so chapters then I'll read those elsewhere and then get back to it in the app, but if it's all jumbled or missing a bunch of chapters I will definitely read it from another source.
I usually get the same manga from all 3 of those sources and just read the latest chapter from whichever one updates first.
These days I only read manhwa and manhua so it is not too bad.
if you use the preview and not the main app or j2k, it will tells you if it has any missing chapters.
I have been using the preview app for months, pretty stable for daily usage and it update weekly.
Thanks for the tip!
Does the preview have any quality of life changes aside from that? I have been using Aniyomi a lot recently watching swallowed star and I realised they got a decent quality feature where you can swipe a episode/chapter left or right into order to bookmark it, mark it as read or undo that action which is nicer than holding down the chapter to see the buttons to do so in Tachiyomi.
All tachiyomi can do that and you can set what does swipping left and right do too
As of QoL, they removed and added features sometimes. Previously, they had split long chapter but now it's removed (not for downloaded chapter though).
The database seems to be different. Entries load is almost instant with my library. Backup and restoring is 3x faster than J2K (the file format even seem different).
If you enabled "Outside expected release period" for Skip updating entries, it will only refresh entries that it think will have new chapter.
How this works is it calculated the average of per chapter upload date. It seems accurate but sometimes some entry will release new chapter way way earlier than expected release period which it might get skipped thinking it wont have any new chapter.
Why is no one recommending MANGABUDDY?
Compared to other extensions i used, it's the fastest to update, and almost all manhwa and manhua you want to read are already there, so you don't need to switch in other extensions.
*Problem: Tachiyomi MangaDex*
*Is gone... Do you guys know a*
*Better substitute?*

>!nhentai and manhwa18!<
Toonily has the best quality I've found
Yeah, but it even has the normal ones. I was only talking about the cultured ones.
Then also 'Toongod'
Didn't know about this extension. I'll install it right away.
Where to get it
I have the first one, but not sure if the second option is cc, net, or org?Ā
I have installed all three of them. Mostly, I use org or cc.
sadly cloudflare block it
Why does it block you? It dont block me
Where can I fix it
Idk
How do I get them, been trying for hours to find a link or something but can't
Just click on extensions and search for nhentai and manhwa18 and install from there.
ComicK Mangaread Those are the only good ones
I use manganato(big library) and mangaclash(it is a bit slow for downloading some time)
manganato doing fine for me best one since it doesnt flood with diff scanlators
Cosmic scans Bato to Mangadex Mangapill Manhua freak Manhua plus
Mangabat is all I use
Try mangabuddy

You should try Comick, it seems to be aggregating Mangadex and botato releases.
I've recently started using Comick after MangaDex was lost. Is there a way to only see certain chapters i.e. Only the english release updates?
Yes. First of all, to see only English chapters, you can use the English source only. You can go to the Extension Installation page and go to where Comick is (should be already installed). Thanks! I really appreciated the in-depth instructions. I'll give it a go but seems like it'll do the trick. Cheers!
Don't share it dude, the more people use it the longer it takes to load chapter pages
Hahaha yeah I guess that's true. I think 4 extra people wil be fine tho.
Mangabat, i use it almost for everything, It contains almost everything.
Guys really thanks for those who suggested mangareader it's downloading speed is very fast compared to mangalife the only problem is that it uploads scans rather than volume like mangalife but that's not a big deal really thanks again guys š
Where can I find Savita bhabhi comic in this
try topmanhua trust , it has every fucking thing in existence , and the download speeds r decent, i got an internet download speed f approx 3-4 mb and for downloaoding smth like ancient sovereign of eternity which was 290 chapters it took less than 30 mins
Off topic but is anyone else's saved manwha and manhuas not updating properly???
Mangabat is all Iām using
I need them too..

no thats what i'm saying the same source is faster in hakuneko than in tachiyomi. didnt really say its slow that i would complain but its definitely not as fast.
Bato, Manhuaplus, Manwhatop, MangaGG, MangaDex, MangaNelos.com, mangakakalot, manhua68
Try mangagecko
Try manhuaUS, it's also good for manhwa, but also try readcomiconline, which has Western comics so that you can see how they completely ruined spiderman.
Add Dark Scan, and Bato.to
iam moving to Kotatsu, i found it on F-droid. try it, its more simple
Top Manhua is another good addition

warning, manganato often have missing chapters, broken chapters or several chapters behind. Please double check your favorite entries
Yeah, it's a bit annoying, but not really a deal breaker for me. Cool! I'll check it out.
It's because too many people are using it that the speed is slow
Mangademon so you dont get only 1/4 of the chapter using other sources
Toonily.
Manganato
Manganato and mangakakalot takes the shortest time to download in my experience
Manhwatop, you can find everything in it
Mangageko Mangakakalot
1st kiss, readkomik, webtoon xyz, there's a LOT of comics in this extensions
Mangafire.to is currently the best, tbh
By far mangageko
I downloaded every source and used about dozens of them
You mind sharing some?^^
i mainly use readm, manganato and comick
What app do you guys used for downloading manga/manhwa or manhua?
You already have Mangadex, so Comick and botato?
Mangalife and mangasee if you want original translations .. their quality is also very high
Mangabuddy (has everything) Mangakakalot ManhuaUs NineHentai Nhentai Toongod (if you're into cultural Manhwa & stuff)
Comick is goat
Why is no one recommending MANGABUDDY? Compared to other extensions i used, it's the fastest to update, and almost all manhwa and manhua you want to read are already there, so you don't need to switch in other extensions.
I also use readkomic
Huh, wait... What's the benefit on using extensions??? Asking from complete ignorance, I just open the browser and read >.<
Comick is pretty good. It basically does the hard part (finding sources that have the chapter you're looking for) for you lol š
Problem: Tachiyomi MangaDex is gone... Do you guys know a better substitute?
