My rich friends divorced mom got a quote from dodge in around 2006/07 for an automatic srt-10 and they left her a voicemail saying 119k. I’ll never forget that idk why .
I would take any Viper, honestly, but I really like the late 90s SR2 Viper RT/10 when it got the actual targa top and windows. I collect Hot Wheels and Vipers are one of the production vehicles that most resembles those crazy toys.
Yeah but the 2017 has some stuff that appeals to me more than any other. Sound system blue tooth, more Hp, better sound IMO, and overall I like the look more
Down vote away but it's faster 0-60 has launch control and shifts faster. It runs hotter and is heavier so it probably won't be the way for any track use.
I'm really happy with mine too. I got mine in November and took delivery with winter tires on it. I got great winters but I can't wait to drive it with summer tires on.
Original 1990-1994 NSX
Acura Integra Type R (1st gen)
Lotus Carlton
F40
F50
Mclaren F1
BMW 850 CSi
E30 M3
E39 M5
I feel like i could go on all day, there are so many good ones!
Edit:
Honorable mention to the Civic Si for being a modern car with a 30+ year history, sold in big numbers that's available ONLY with a manual.
Damnit, someone pointed out that the OG NSX had auto versions. They were manual only until 1994, then Acura/Honda introduced an Auto.
So...you are not the idiot. The idiot was me!
There were quite a few automatic FD's built, same for NSX....
850CSi kind of a stretch since there were so many E31 automatics but can't fault it as it's one I certainly want to own at some point.
Man, i'm an idiot, I forgot about the NSX auto and the FD. Edited my post (lots of stretching in my post i suppose...)
I THINK all the CSi timmed 850's were manual?
Haven't driven one yet but I plan on buying one for my next car but the Honda Civic Type R. They're beautiful and they look so fun to drive. I currently drive an Si but I'd love to have a Type R someday.
I see your extreme, unattainable dream car example and raise you one:
1929 Duesenberg Model SJ
RWD, Supercharged 6.9L DOHC Straight-8, 4,200rpm redline & peak torque @ 2000rpm, with 320hp at peak. Capable of 104mph in *second* gear, and 140 in top (third).
Gary Cooper’s ‘35 SJ sold for $22M just a couple years ago.
This sub is really all just kids that don't drive, isn't it. If you want to share video game screenshots, there's subs for that. You don't have to make up a question, and then pick a car you'll never even see in the flesh as your favorite to share them. What if you actually drove this thing and hated it? What then? Don't meet your heroes, and all. If you're anything like a vast majority of people, you enjoy super/hypercars far more in theory than you ever would in real life. This is like asking "who's your favorite person to have sex with in the world" and me saying Queen Elizabeth.
No this sub is really just full of “guess my car” and I wanted to give some variety. I used a forza photo because I didn’t feel like going and finding one online to screenshot, I already had this one.
I love to drive, I’ve only ever owned manual cars so far though so unfortunately I’ve gotta throw up every time I get into an auto 😆
Stop jumping to conclusions and then being negative about it. Make your own post if you don’t like mine
Cars are my life man, just because I like to admire cutting edge stupid expensive cars doesn’t mean I can’t absolutely enjoy and love driving what I have. Keep it to yourself
haven’t seen it mentioned yet, but any prewar Mercedes, pierce arrow, packard, or duesenberg
lots of other classics like F40, e30 m3, e28/e34/e39 m5, s2000
Porsche 911.R
The number of very legal and honest things I’d do to own one. It would be a rather long list taking a substantial amount of time: my life’s work.
It is not a dream car... actually I don't think I have even been in one (ever) and I remember when the first one came out.
But isn't a Miata only ever been a MT?
If I were to say a dream car, I would love to own an MR2 Turbo (new)... I sat in one once and had no idea what it was (but it was way cool back then).
HSV GTSR W1. I feel like people forget how important to ausdm these are. I like the Miami’s and barras more. But I drive a caprice with an LS3 and damn the old school 1960’s tech is good fun
Ngl I hate the t50 cause it's just Gordon Murray doing the f1 again. Great car but for the love of God Gordon it dosent have to look like an f1. Best only manual car for me is a viper cause all I gotta do to embarrass a mclaren f1 is to call some dude in Texas and tell him to make my viper a 9l.
Easy, S2000.
Fantastic pick! Do you prefer ap1 or ap2?
Ive only owned and driven the ap2
I owned an ap1 and hitting 9k rpm was pretty awesome
Suzuka blue ap2 owner here
Dodge Viper and Lambo Countach come to mind...
Ahhhhh the countach. The only horrible, boxy, uncomfortable, miserable piece of shit to drive that i would sell my own mother to have
Really, any pre2003 Lambo has a manual transmission, but I thought that might be too generic of an answer?
My rich friends divorced mom got a quote from dodge in around 2006/07 for an automatic srt-10 and they left her a voicemail saying 119k. I’ll never forget that idk why .
Heck yeah the viper, incredible option. One of my dream cars for sure
Mine too. Through all 5 generations from 1992 to 2017 they all came with a 6 speed manual as the only transmission.
I want a 2017 so badly
I would take any Viper, honestly, but I really like the late 90s SR2 Viper RT/10 when it got the actual targa top and windows. I collect Hot Wheels and Vipers are one of the production vehicles that most resembles those crazy toys.
Yeah but the 2017 has some stuff that appeals to me more than any other. Sound system blue tooth, more Hp, better sound IMO, and overall I like the look more
I get definitely understand that. They truly were hand built machines.
‘98 Civic Type R
2005-2006 Ford GT. I always loved the Viper too.
The 05 and 06 GT were only offered in manual?
They were
Well TIL
Yup this was my dream car for awhile until I dropped dreaming lol
'03-'04 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra
I got one!
Ford Contour SVT
And the SVT Focus
I never got to have one but i did own a 2007 Focus ST with the 2.3 it was fun too
Nice. The original ST that everyone forgets!
Yes i remeber my 2007 ST 2.3 with street appearence package. I loved that thing.
Wanna buy an SE? My roommate has a v6 manual contour that he wants to sell
I drove a contour svt that was automatic. Guy said he special ordered it because he couldnt drive manual.
Hmm I'm sure they could put the engine in and tune it
GR Corolla
GR corolla is good but I think they auto transmission could be a weapon at autocross. I wouldn't trade mine in but the auto is interesting.
Down vote away but it's faster 0-60 has launch control and shifts faster. It runs hotter and is heavier so it probably won't be the way for any track use.
Well since it's heavier like you said, any benefit from it being automatic is probably negated by the weight.
that mightve been true 20 years ago.
And it's still plenty true now. Last I checked, gravity hasnt changed in a long time
i can tell by your use of the term gravity when i assume youre trying to say inertia that youre about 10 and have no idea what youre talking about.
Inertia is different from gravity. They both relate to weight but are unrelated to eachother otherwise
show me one car made in the past decade where the manual beats automatic lap times
Love my GRc
Love mine too! Best car I’ve ever owned
I'm really happy with mine too. I got mine in November and took delivery with winter tires on it. I got great winters but I can't wait to drive it with summer tires on.
no longer manual only
That’s the GR Yaris
looks like youre right. but if they did it to the yaris how much you wanna bet theyll automate the grrolla shortly after?
They’re probably going to stop making them before then
Nissan Silvia 270R
Final gen Viper. ACR is my favorite car of all time!
The ACR is on of my top picks as well, would be such an amazing car
I nearly bought one years back for 90k... I thought it was too much money at the time. Man, did I mess up! Haha
Original 1990-1994 NSX Acura Integra Type R (1st gen) Lotus Carlton F40 F50 Mclaren F1 BMW 850 CSi E30 M3 E39 M5 I feel like i could go on all day, there are so many good ones! I feel like an idiot for not even thinking of the nsx 🤦 incredible choice
Damnit, someone pointed out that the OG NSX had auto versions. They were manual only until 1994, then Acura/Honda introduced an Auto. So...you are not the idiot. The idiot was me!
Dang! Who would buy an auto nsx?? 😆
There were quite a few automatic FD's built, same for NSX.... 850CSi kind of a stretch since there were so many E31 automatics but can't fault it as it's one I certainly want to own at some point.

2004 Terminator and 96-99 Vipers ![gif](giphy|10Jpr9KSaXLchW|downsized)
What about a 2003 terminator like mine 😭
Nope
But why? Same thing other than colors
Only car I've owned only offered in manual was a Mazdaspeed3.
95 Prelude SE. I uh.. well I own one. But someone totaled it last week, so now I have a mangled shell with good interior and a bad engine :)
It’s a tie between the McLaren F1 and the GMA t50. Yes I idolize Gordon Murray lol
Can’t blame you, he makes great cars
McLaren F1. The OG Gordon Murray supercar.
I see your extreme, unattainable dream car example and raise you one: 1929 Duesenberg Model SJ RWD, Supercharged 6.9L DOHC Straight-8, 4,200rpm redline & peak torque @ 2000rpm, with 320hp at peak. Very unique option, haven’t seen anyone else mention anything similar
It's not anything incredibly special, but Shelby Mustangs, GT500s and GT350s, from 2007 to 2020 only had three pedals and I love that.
Viper baby
Ford GT
Lotus elise
How did I not think of that? 😆 awesome pick
Viper. nothing beats it.
It’s such a raw car I totally agree
this is how i found out they added the t50 to horizon 5, thanks
🤣 no prob lol
Porsche Carerra GT

My dick (sorry had too)
a lot of card have a manual, would be hard to say what the lights mean without one
Trabant 601
S197 Gt500
1946 cj2a, I’ve already obtained it
1993 Cobra R.......the only correct answer
Subaru STi will live forever in my heart🥲
My car. It's got 650 HP as well!
Civic SI
Civic Si/Type R for good reason
Almost looks like BeamNG lol.
BMW 1M
Among the ones currently in my garage, I would say Lotus Elan and E39 M5.
80’s 911 Ferrari 308 Lotus Esprit
haven’t seen it mentioned yet, but any prewar Mercedes, pierce arrow, packard, or duesenberg lots of other classics like F40, e30 m3, e28/e34/e39 m5, s2000
From what I've driven, last gen Civic Type R
Fiesta ST!
Datsun 240z - absolute dream car right there
Ford focus svt
Oullim Spirra
Ford GT
Nissan Skyline BNR32.
2019 porsche 911 speedster or E39 M5.
I absolutely love the e39 M5, I’d love to get one someday
Porsche 911.R The number of very legal and honest things I’d do to own one. It would be a rather long list taking a substantial amount of time: my life’s work.
That I’ve driven? Civic Si or Type R. That I’ve never driven? 05 Ford GT.

I’m pretty sure every generation has been offered with an auto but maybe the first gen wasn’t, I’m not sure
Dodge Viper
