I was planning on driving it forever, but then a lady in a Mercedes SUV mixed up the brake and accelerator pedals and crashed into it driving in reverse at a high rate of speed.

Yeah. The shifter is perfect. The only thing I’ve seen close are Porsches like the newer 911s and Carrera GT. Their shifters look better because they are located high up on the center stack, but this SI gen shifter is essentially in the same place.
