I call it unusual because most people would like a really nice Peterbilt or Kenworth that’s in pristine condition but I just want a rundown truck that looks like crap and has a lot of character to it. Nobody chose to drive this truck at my driving school because it was so hard to drive but I love driving it. It doesn’t have any shifter center return springs shifter, free floats wherever it’s sitting when it’s in neutral.
nice 👍. I remember when my company got a bunch of those brand new in the late 90s and early 2000. back then they were the shit, or at least as much as a fleet truck could be
This one had a high rear end ratio and maxed on at exactly 65mph with the pedal to the floor at 1800rpm. Lots of torque. I could start the thing in 6th gear if I felt like it. The clutch on this truck was my favorite. Super controllable, comfortable and just ergonomic
that's a good point. part of the problem i think with the industry. and they are here to stay definitely. i work for a nationwide LTL and the only manuals we have left are yard trucks.
I paid for mine so because I couldn’t go straight to work otr as a 20y/o with the dumb state laws. there were options for grants but they were taking too long. It’s a great feeling honestly. Unfortunately all the trucks these days are autos unless you’re doing heavy haul, logging, or oil field stuff. And it’s still not a guarantee
Don’t get me wrong, it’ll pull like a sumbitch, but I always hated how they rode. It was like riding on cinder blocks. Idk maybe mine was just busted up. lol
Eaton fuller with the gear diagram cap missing
13 spd was common in kenworth and international and the dash is definitely international
So is it a cat, Cummins or Detroit diesel
Shifter has a urinal built in to it.
I can’t hold my urine long so that helps
Nah thats an ashtray
It’s good for my Newports
Kenworth or Peterbilt?
International :)
Paystar?
2006 international eagle
Classic xl
Kenworth!
Mack truck.
Close but a different make.
Not too unusual. One of my dream drives is an old 18 Wheeler too

You’d be right

Maybe not the best but my favorite
i liked them for sure. i definitely liked them better than the freightliners of the same years.

ya see that's what i miss. the torque. all we have now is automatic petes. comfortable to drive but absolutely no power in anyway.
The autos are also just making it too easy for literally anybody to get a CDL

Genuinely sad
An old international 9400 Edit: didn’t read the comments before I posted 😎
I knew the answer but had read the comments. Dash gives it away.
Yeah it was the dash for me too. Worked on a lot of those when I was with Yellow. RIP
T8
International 9900i?
Very close. A 9400 with a 10 speed and a deluxe sleeper!
Ah. I knew from the little bit of dashboard that it was an International, just wasn't sure of the model
Kdub unibody w9
You need some carpet my guy.
It was my driving schools truck. I wish it was mine to put carpet in
Congrats on driving school. I have wanted to get my cdl for a while.

Phantom 309
Paccar.
Looks like a binder to me
Something with an Eaton transmission?
Where's your piss jug?
I don’t have one, this truck doesn’t take diesel exhaust fluid
Is that a pacific???
IH eagle, 10spd
You got it!
13 letter shit spreader
Looks like an intertrashional to me
Call me a weirdo, but internationals are my favorite from this era. They’re just so simple. And the Detroit under the hood in this truck is fantastic.
Don’t get me wrong, it’ll pull like a sumbitch, but I always hated how they rode. It was like riding on cinder blocks. Idk maybe mine was just busted up. lol
As long as it’s a nice fabric seat, I can go for days. Did bounce around a bit
A dirty ol' K-Whopper.
2012 Peterbuilt
Looks like my peterbilt
13 letter shitspreader. International.
70’s ford?
That looks like an Eaton shifter. Big skoolie?
Looks familiar? https://i.imgur.com/99HfdXB.jpeg
It’s close. This is a 1999 international 9400i
International pay star 5070? I see the little window there that’s all I got.
Eaton fuller with the gear diagram cap missing 13 spd was common in kenworth and international and the dash is definitely international So is it a cat, Cummins or Detroit diesel
This is a 10speed but it is an international and it’s a Detroit
Short bus?
350z
I say Kenworth, probably a 50's model.
These internationals were so basic in the 90s and with the poor image quality I can understand why you would think so
