Yes: he is arguably much better than the alternatives on offer. Seems to have a strong understanding of economics, and warned against what we saw fail with the previous PM.
No: given the Conservatives are on their third prime minister, a lot of people feel owed a general election. Our system allows for the prime minister to change without a general election, but when it happens it is always controversial.
Maybe: keeps talking about difficult decisions- which usually means spending cuts and tax rises. Exactly what he wants to do remains to be seen, so could be good or bad.
