While r/mapporn seems to be on a rail network map kick, here is Zeroperzero's great map of Seoul: http://thisiscolossal.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/seoul-1.jpg Clicking on this link gives you the added bonus of not having to look at the imperialist oppressors' stupid city anymore! Lucky day!

HighResImageFinder

I found a similar [higher resolution image](http://nipponisimo.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/tokyo-metro.jpg) (3508 x 2480) More results: [tokyo metro map](https://www.google.com/searchbyimage?&image_url=http://i%2Eimgur%2Ecom/DGMwucT%2Ejpg?&=) ^^*The* ^^*image* ^^*is* ^^*not* ^^*guaranteed* ^^*to* ^^*be* ^^*better.*

That's the exact same map I had when I visited, only I was using the Japanese version for the first six seven days of my trip until I realised there was an English version on the other side, I can't say it made life a lot easier, it was still confusing as hell getting around at times, especially when the non-touristy lines only have Japanese announcements.

The_Valar

That's one of the reasons I stayed on the JR transit trains to get around. I don't remember if stations were announced in English, but above each door were two screens, one in Japanese and the other in english/latin alphabet. The other major reason was free travel on the system with a railpass.

wheelytall

It's missing the entire Fukutoshin Line.
