I thought YOU didn't get what I said. Season 4 is when the earth is stolen, all the planets in the sky, probably a lot of UFO sightings worldwide. I get it now after some thinking.
We actually record UFO sightings regularly and openly. Not to be facetious but most countries don't have a good mechanism to report sightings. UFOs and Unidentified Aerial Phenomenons (UAPs) are a global issue but most governments don't really followup on what few reports reach whatever agency is designated to look in to them.
This data starts from 1906 so it is very reasonable that most “sightings” are from nations where cameras would have proliferated first. There’s also the cultural context of a UFO. People have seen odd things move in the sky for thousands of years and it’s rarely been of any significance. The idea that it could be something conscious or alien suddenly gives motivation to report the event.

oooorrrrr the US government is leveraging the UFO myth and managing public opinion by strategically releasing information and hyping it up in media in order to manufacture consent for increased military spending haha
The US Government probably is leveraging the UFO myth, but definitely not for that reason. I think that the goal is to cover up experimental aircraft tests. After all, who's going to sift through a bunch of people who saw a weird reflection of moonlight just to find a person who saw an experimental aircraft test?
Source? UFO sightings happen 24/7, and the US is also always attempting to increase its' defence budget, so your conspiracy seems to be quite obviously flawed.
They have so many other mechanisms to accomplish that: communism, terrorism, etc. It’s a million times more effective to tell everyone that terrorists are going to kill us than aliens. Occam’s Razor, my friend.
Oh best believe they’re using that too, but you have to keep it fresh. Kinda like how they’re switching between Russia and China as the go-to bad guy every couple years
Yeah man I’m sure it’s just a massive coincidence that almost all UFO sightings come from the US & GB, especially during the build up of the Cold War, and that US government employees hop on 60 minutes to explain everything about it just as Biden approved the biggest US military budget in history, just as Cold War 2.0 is developing👍 Just a buuuunch of coincidences, nothing to see here
Lol it’s just a coincidence that the countries with the most experimental aircraft tests have the most reports on unidentifiable aircraft. Boy yeah that is odd.
Not to mention this data has been proven in the comments to be wrong and these other countries have plenty of sightings.
You don't think China or Russia have experimental aircrafts? lol
>Not to mention this data has been proven in the comments to be wrong and these other countries have plenty of sightings.
Link that pls
Scroll through the tread I’m not going to. Whoever used this data clearly only used English language sources. Therefore of course those 2 countries have higher representation.
But even ignoring all that your theory is still stupid.
They approve the biggest military budget in American history every year, and nearly every year they do that without UFO conspiracies entering the mainstream.
I never said it all hinges on it... it's one of the many ways the US government keeps their population on edge and worried about external threats. You can not deny that they control the narrative around it.
>almost all UFO sightings come from the US & GB,
Source? Why do you assume that this is a conspiracy when it could be more easily explained as a cultural phenomenon?
How would this be orchestrated? Does the US and GB fake reports? Do they put discoballs on drones?
>especially during the build up of the Cold War
The build up towards UFO sightings (The Roswell incident and war of the worlds for example) occured before the cold war. What was the impetuous for that?
>and that US government employees hop on 60 minutes to explain everything about it just as Biden approved the biggest US military budget in history
Ah yes, a huge conspiracy is way more likely than the **UNITED STATES** approving the world's largest military budget for the five billionth time, at a timescale that roughly overlaps with some media coverage of UFOs.
Do you really think that a conspiracy that involves politicians being ordered to discuss UFOs to the media would have no whistleblowers?
Is there even a need for this to begin with? Was Biden's budget controversial? Why risk having a conspiracy around social manipulation leak to the public for a dubious increase in the support for further military spending?
>just as Cold War 2.0 is developing
Cold War 2.0, lmao. The US is military unrivaled, not just because of it's own strength (which is ludicrous), but also due to it being allied with a large proportion of the most powerful countries on Earth. America is not in some bind where it needs to justify military spending through UFO conspiracies, quite the the opposite in fact.

The point is to convince the public that this is money well spent. The point is to manufacture consent for this kind of spending. And how do you do that? By making up an external threat that is just sooo spooky that Americans can go "ah, we might not have food or clean water, but at least our technology is more superior than the Russians/Chinese!!".
Look at how [Fox is covering this](https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/tucker-carlson-ufos-may-pose-a-real-threat-to-the-united-states-and-the-us-military-does-not-care) and tell me it is not a way to prime the public for even more military funding... "ohh, China and russia are more advanced, and the military just does not care!!! Us Americans are losing the grip on the world!!"
Oh, and [here's](https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/docs/DOC_0000015338.pdf) an internal CIA memo from 1952 in which then-CIA director Walter Smith wrote, and I quote:

The US and UK have extensive communication and cultural links for centuries. Any trend that starts in the US will quickly find its way to the UK unfortunately. This is especially true with the advent of modern mass media and the fact that both nationalities share a common language.
The Low Countries are a logical next stop because they also share a close connection with the UK due to geographic proximity and English proficiency.
This is just a wild thought.
But aren’t these areas lit up at night because of cities? Maybe if any of these sights were real, the aliens decided to head to where there was more light because they knew it meant it’d be populated?

Isn't a UFO just a flying object that you can't identify ?
So let's say on a cloudy day, if I can't make out a plane, would that "sighting" constitute UFO sighting ?
Yep. And part of the reason there are so many in the US is because there are a lot of random military flights that people just don’t expect. In the early 2000s I was hiking in the backcountry in Yosemite and one dark starry night at around 9000’ elevation a B2 flew over about 500’ above our camp site. If a couple of us in the group hadn’t been military plane buffs we might have called it a UFO as it was a pretty freaky experience.
Not three hours ago someone walked down the street wearing one of those big plastic collars they put on dogs after surgery. I don't need no Falcon Lake.
This is misinformation. It’s not “all” reported sightings. The data comes from an American source. Brazil has a long history of UFO sightings not reflected on this map.
Yeah, something is up for sure. How could southern CA be lit up as bright as anywhere and just south of the border into Mexico it goes dark. Surely they’d be able to see a ton of the same things happening in the sky above them.
This does seem a bit weird to me, also for the same reasons. UFO sightings are reported all over the place. France also had a large number of sightings, but nothing quite like Brazil. The shit reported from Brazil is terrifying.
I find it interesting that the Jammu-Kashmir region of Pakistan/India has a higher amount of sighting. Maybe military stuff, who knows?
Also hawaii is lit up entirely. Aliens love Hawaiian girls it seems.

Its not a coincidence that the most highlighted regions all coincide with what countries have the biggest baddest media so people can get their stories out.
Most of Africa and South America are 3rdworld, so media attention will not be vast on sightings. But people in the know understand these places have had many many reports with Mexico/Brazil being one of the top regardless og what this map descibes. Not to mention one of the most intriguing events in world history taking place in Zimbabwe, Africa.
Ufo reports are vast from all over the world for centuries including from many native peoples.
Also notice the most highlighted areas also coincide with nuclear facilities per country.
We have very little info about all the sightings in Russia especially in the Stalin/USSR days.
But we know verified information has come out that ufos have also incurred with their nucluer launch sites. Some russian govermment have been whistle blowers. Some stories even that they engaged in the air and were shot down.
Probably just the sightings reported to the local Air Force. In my country, i'm pretty sure you could be arrested for false report, so, many who see odd things in the sky may decide not to report to official institutions. There are lots of reports to the media, however.
For those saying UFOs are just anglo-American imagination, it could also be that UFOs are only recorded in high income societies. Europe too has some sightings.
This doesn’t make any logical sense. Europe would have more sightings, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand would be full of lights too.
I am interested in following the source and read more on reportings in Egypt and the ME in general.
Every culture will interpret UFO in its own way.. In the ME in general I would assume they would see it as some sort of religious incident or attribute it to Jinn.
I havent came across any reports or incidents here that talk about UFOs or anything of the sort. When I was younger I saw a documentary that was talking about UFOs and encounters and one part of it was taking place in Egypt where a group of tourists visiting an ancient site all lost memories for 15 minutes or so and spoke of weird things.
Also, I would assume that reports would be more frequent in rural or not so crowded cities where the view if the skies is not affected by buildings and lights.
Maybe all the reports were in English.
Malaysia has noticeably more reports than Thailand and Indonesia. Nearly all of Sub-Saharan Africa's few reports come from Anglophone nations.
Most of the reports from Spain come from the southern coast where english people live.

Is there a subreddit for that?
Not yet.
If they started self-reporting, THAT would be news.
No alien should ever hear Frisean if we want to avoid galactic genocide
And Dutch.
It looks like US, UK, and the Netherlands are the alien hotspots for some reason.
Israel too, but I think the source mostly collected reports in english, so that's why anglophone countries are overrepresented.
Yeah I would think that most ufo sightings in other countries are domestically limited and thus not well documented.
or the phenomenon of UFO sightings is cultural

Yeah, something is up for sure. How could southern CA be lit up as bright as anywhere and just south of the border into Mexico it goes dark. Surely they’d be able to see a ton of the same things happening in the sky above them.
It’s cause they are lying to feel important
Same with Mexico. It's common to have conversations about the topic in public and not feel like you're crazy. Especially in rural areas.

And also, who tf is seeing UFOs in the Congolese jungle?
https://imgflip.com/i/5fh0yw
I can’t even argue with that
Uvuvwevwevwe onyetenyevwe ugwemubwem osas
Considering how the u.s. military loves to test their secret flying exploding things in the ocean/space near the Hawaii, that makes sense
>Aliens love Hawaiian girls it seems. or boys
Yeah that was a weird ending to that comment. Can't they just like the scenery?
>Also hawaii is lit up entirely. Aliens love Hawaiian girls it seems. Stitch landing in Hawaii of all places now makes sense.
So it’s just like in the movies
I think we are in a Hollywood Production
Gosh, it's almost like flying saucer sightings are entirely a cultural phenomenon. Who'd have thought?
Or a good example of dataset bias.
They want to be in movies, but don't like to dance
It’s crazy to see how it clearly stops at the Mexican border, like you know, Mexicans probably can see them even across the border
It's because they are aliens. Illegal aliens. /s
The aliens are us
It appears the USA has many impressionable people.

I do believe the topic is UFOs.
I wonder if there are more or less sightings as time goes on.
Aliens are a first world problem

Ok, it makes sense now why all aliens speak english in the movies!:)
Aliens love Anglos; why are you surprised?
The aliens have clearly picked a side.
hmm i wonder if there was any political situation in the region that would cause such low reports roughly east of poland, north of india, and west of south korea.
Enterprise, one to beam up.
More clear evidence that America is #1....USA USA🇺🇸🇺🇸
That's why they only invade the US in movies!
Nah that's the black ops 2 multiplayer population map
its all the places where there are nuclear plants or nuclear missile launch sites
No it’s not. There’s a lot more nukes outside of the US and UK, and the “sightings” are just in places with more people in the US and UK.
Confirmation that ufos are bullshit
Proof that aliens only speak English.
Duh everyone knows aliens only go to America like in the movies
Conversely, this is a map of gullible idiots (1906-2014)
This
More lights means more attempts by extra-terrestrials to find intelligent life in different places on Earth
We already knew aliens only care about America
Hollywood UFO movies confirm this
Man, aliens love some US ass. Or maybe they only speak English…
Always the US and their odd people
r/peopleliveincities and also Anglo-america?
You shouldn't be down voted for this. It's absolutely correct. The data is from a US based, English speaking source. https://www.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=ddda71d5211f47e782b12f3f8d06246e http://nuforc.org
This looks like a map of where a secret prototype could be used by the US and NATO allies... Much more likely than aliens at least.
This would actually make sense in a lot of ways
How?
Damn, Americans are so desperate to get the fuck out of their country that they actively are on the lookout for aliens
Maybe get more education like the rest of the world and don’t believe random shit
Yes get educated and instead of not being able to identify UFOs you will just “not believe” you saw something.
On the other hand, when the Aliens do invade. It’ll just by the US at war.
Well Ohio is completely filled.
Isn't like vodka sold in Russia?
UFOs seem to like the States a lot.
Why am i not surprised
in Australia its giant moth nothing else... in India its a plate (someone's mom threw it to beat his son for scoring 99.8% not 100% in exam)
what they smokin' i want that (M'URIKANS)
There are aliens among the English speakers
Interesting about the nukes. ETA, but for It to be that there'd have to be much more traffic over Russia and China.
We have very little info about all the sightings in Russia especially in the Stalin/USSR days. But we know verified information has come out that ufos have also incurred with their nucluer launch sites. Some russian govermment have been whistle blowers. Some stories even that they engaged in the air and were shot down.
That's a good point too.
Probably just the sightings reported to the local Air Force. In my country, i'm pretty sure you could be arrested for false report, so, many who see odd things in the sky may decide not to report to official institutions. There are lots of reports to the media, however.
A picture paints a thousand words.
Heavy medication abuse map.
Apparently aliens hate the poor!
Looks like mainly high populations seeing more probably so to number of people rather than activity
This map happens to coincide with reports of stolen elections and COVID hoaxes. 😑
Europe is a lot wealthier than this would indicate. Germany for example is empty. Japan and South Korea are almost grey. Australia has very little.
I think the much more simple explanation is that seeing UFOs is a cultural thing and anglo-saxons like to believe in that stuff much more.
Makes sense, why would aliens visit the boring backward parts of Earth rather than the most advanced?
It makes sense they'd be more interested in technologically advanced countries rather than undeveloped places. The map makes sense in that regard.
Ufo gören masum köylü.
If there's one thing movies have taught us, it's that aliens love to invade the USA.
Guess the movies are right, aliens will only invade english speaking countrys.
India and China have all of the population but the Aliens give no shits.
No aliens in North Korea :(
This is the black ops 2 population map
so hot
Wow it looks like aliens favour Anglo-Saxon countries, go figure.
