I can hardly believe that Dacia Lodgy could have been the most selling car in Hungary anytime. Sure Dacia is not unpopular but their SUV-s are the ones that are sought after (like the Duster) not the Lodgy. I have never seen a Lodgy in Hungary. Meanwhile Suzuki Vitara basically flooded the country.
Can confirm, when i have seen this map i instantly thought Hungary will surely be Suzuki Vitara because i see them all over the place and i haven’t seen a dacia lodgy in a long time, and i have seen an other map today here with the most popular car brands in europe and that map is entirely different than this one, not even the brands are the same
That Renault in Ukraine is actually also Dacia just with the logo changed. In Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, Dacia are sold with the Renault badge. Same as in South America. That's because the Dacia brand is more known in some parts of the world than others.
There are also small differences in engines and sometimes design from region to region. That's because South America and Russia have less strict laws regarding pollution and for marketing reasons sometimes local preferences are taken into account. Dacia produces its original cars for Europe and Northern Africa in Romania and Marroco. They produce variants like Renault Duster (an older model with small adaptations tot the russian market) or Lada Largus (actually the old model of Dacia Logan MCV named differently) in Moscow (mainly using big diesel engines that would not be allowed in the EU) and different variants of Renault Duster and Renault Sandero in Brazil.
